I can't post any video links on my work computer, but look it up on YouTube when you have a minute. It looks incredible and will be released this upcoming November on next-gen consoles and PC. As a car guy and car gamer, it looks like a game that could occupy all of my gaming time once it's released. I just hope the physics are correct because the Shift games by the same developers (Mad Studios) were garbage. If the physics are fixed and matched with the graphics, car selection, and audio of Project Cars, it will be a car gamer's utopia.
What would really put it over the top is if we can have seasons for each individual car class (GT, prototype, DTM, NASCAR, etc.).
Forza 5, Driveclub and Gran Turismo are all after absolute realism when it comes to simulated racing, but when it comes to graphics, the best work being done in racing games comes out of Project Cars. So much so that I can’t tell the difference between the game and real life.
Project Cars is a racing game that puts so-called next-gen racers to shame.
The game team decided to get a BMW coupe and throw it around Laguna Seca. That’s the one with the insane downhill corkscrew turn for those who know their tracks.
Side-by-side, the footage was put up against an identical lap on Project Cars, and it’s indistinguishable from reality.
The only difference is that there are people in the stands on Project Cars.
It’s coming out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC later on this year.
