He always seemed like a good kid ...... who just couldn't stay healthy.
Hopefully he takes advantage of this opportunity to turn it into something more.
Mike Pettine started in a similar way.
And introducing the head coach for your Cleveland Browns in the year 2028 ... Montario Hardesty!
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Before that quote they stated this about Hardesty:
the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. He was hampered with injuries and only played in 23 games.
that pretty much said it all about his career..."INJURED" why he is coaching just 4 years out of College.
jmho - better than Willaim Green!

Considering the expectations we had for William Green I'd agree. He had that one stretch of games that we all remember ... but we expected that on a consistent basis.

The last half of Green's first season and the first half of his second one combined for a pretty good season even if it was split in half. Then he stabbed himself. Which, when you think about it, was quite a feat on it's own.

He showed more athletic ability in that regard than most of our other RBs do on the actual field

Especially when you consider that he stabbed himself in the back.

He looked like the better back at the end of the 2012 season, between him and Richardson. Just could never stay healthy.

The story on Green: this tells it all.
Robo took over for Butch as interim HC.
He sat down Suggs and Green and told them to go home for the Weekend (bye week) Gave them both one of those Yellow Legal pads and told them to draw up plays that would hi-light their abilities and what they saw in the personnel the Browns had.
Well Monday came and they met again. Robo said so...Suggs handed in 20 pages worth of plays complete with X's n O's
Green tossed back an empty pad stating. I ain't no coach.
That was the last we saw of Green for the season and probably in a Browns Uni???
Shame the kid had talent...just no desire to take it to another level.
