Ladies and gentlemen...the day is upon us.
The Browns flag was erected this morning, I have gotten all of my OT for the week out of the way, I arrived at work early so I can leave early, and am taking a vacation day tomorrow so I can watch the entire draft tonight without worrying about getting up early tomorrow and watch all of the coverage tomorrow. Tonight will give us a good idea of who Farmer really is and what direction this team is taking. Tonight, we will get a glimpse of the future of the Browns. I'm just hoping I'll have more of a smile on my face instead of a frown at the end of the night. For us Browns fans, this is our Christmas morning. I can't wait.

True story.
My youngest daughter, her fiance is coming today from Florida to meet the family. He'll be here through the weekend. Me and the fellas have been planning to watch the first round together long before this visit was planned.
So, I have about a 3 hour window to get a first impression on this guy. After that I'll be at Sidelines in Maumee.
Go, Brownies, Go!!!

My first thought when seeing this thread is that how sorry is it that the most exciting days to be a Browns fan is draft day and the opening day, the rest has painful to watch at most times.

I think the worst one of all time for me was the Alex Mack/Mangini draft with those 2nd round picks.
Mack turned out to be a good one, but we couldn't have picked those 2nd rounders worse if we tried. It was beyond painful, that was back when rounds 1 and 2 were on the same day.
The Weeden pick was probably the single worst pick. My heart sank into my stomach, ruined my day and I was in Hawaii.

I HATE Blake Bortles as a prospect.
But if they decide he's the guy and take him at 4, I'll be happy because they said "We're not messing around. This is our guy, and we're getting him"

Thank goodness the day is finally here! This draft has a great feel to it going in. Expectations are high and this will give us a feel for the direction and an inkling going forward in how Farmer attacks a draft. For as tired as I was due to the date of the draft this year and got sick of hearing all of the hype even longer, I'm certainly as excited today as with any other draft day! GO BROWNS!!!

It would take a pick like that to ruin a day in Hawaii too!
