Does anyone else think people need to leave their kids out of television commercials? Most notably the kids from the Fairway Ford commercials.

Seeing your kids on television does not make me want to buy something from you.

I think they are going for that whole "family" business angle, which makes some people feel it will be more personable and friendly and honest. in some cases it is, in some it's just an advertising angle.

Well, since most local car dealership commercials don't really give you any good information, other than "We have the lowest prices and the best service..!!"... it really doesn't matter who does the ad.

And if they didn't use their kids, then they would have to pay professionals to give you no information... where's the sense in that?

Hell yeah! Everytime I see one of those Ovaltine commercials I fantasize about drowning all those damn kids in a giant pool of chocolate milk. Man, that would be so sweet.

Sad that they do a better job, but still......

Everytime I see the commercial it reminds me of school fundraisers where you just want to give the kid a dollar to leave your porch.

I also think the Cable Guys shouldn't be allowed on television either.

Ovaltine called, they said if you used Nestle Quik Chocolate milk mix, they are ok with it.

Bob has sold a lot of cars out of that Dealership, and he does a good job, he just sucks at commercials. He can't be good at everything.

He might be selling a lot of cars, but he already sold his childrens souls to make a quick buck. Pretty soon they will all be hanging out with that carpet princess girl who looks like a cross-dresser.

I am more concerned that the only channel that I can let my kids watch are Disney, Nickelodeon, etc. without having to worry. TV now a days is amazing. I find myself having to explain things to my 7 year old that he has seen on a commercial that shouldn't be.

He also likes to watch certain shows, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance (Yes, this one) and I have be very careful because of how some the people act. I don't let him watch any of the dance shows because most of the moves are sexual in natue.. It's crazy....

If I was a kid and my dad said, "Do you want to be in a commercial?"... I'd be all over it.

I wouldn't.

I also don't buy into the "family" angle he is trying to play. I wouldn't buy anything from my family, let alone a major purchase from his kid.

Since when do commercials tell 100% truth. It's a damn commercial, you try to sell someone on something, and hope they take the bait. And trust me, there's plenty of people who will take the bait.
