I don't think that he necessarily has to directly talk to Cleveland. His agent has, and if he trusts his agent, then he probably has all the facts he needs. It's not like he doesn't know the team, ownership, and half the players (at least) on the team.
I want this over tonight. for good or for ill. Once it is, the Cavaliers can start moving forward, one way or the other.

exactly, there is nothing more Riley could do. Melo isn't going there for 15 million, mcroberts and granger is the best they will do. Very confident Lebron will thank Riley, and let him know he is heading to Cleveland..
