Which is why you don't pass laws on credit.. 
I've said before and I will say again, if you want to build a fence there is only one way to do it.. with illegal labor. Yep, get a couple thousand Mexicans and hire them to build the fence. Set them up little camps to live in while they work, feed them, pay them some small amount of money and the big reward at the end... they get to stay.
See I agree with Erik.. I also agree with Purp... I agree with Erik that we have to keep doing more, I agree with Purp that they will continue to try to beat whatever we do.. that doesn't mean we should stop trying. You have to keep making it more difficult.

You find a illegal in this country you fly back over Mexico and drop them off at 10,000 feet. Problem solved, that would stop 90 percent of the problem right there.

Troops should have been at the borders years ago, Obama is just stockpiling more voters. They should have solid land mines after the electric fence and before the tall fence.

I kinda doubt it. The Republican party has caught so much media flack and have came across to the public as intolerant and bullheaded. Neither of which have been quelled by the Party themselves. I think their major problem is trying to straddle between their hardcore party members and independent voters and they need to decide one way or the other before they can succeed on a Presidential election.

I generally reply to ignorance with ignorance.
The GOP wants cheap labor and the Dems want votes. That's why the presidents of both parties have done nothing to actually stem the tide of illegal immigrants.
I find it quite amusing how so many wish to tag Obama with all of the blame while this issue has been an ongoing problem for decades. And I don't recall hearing all the outrage when Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million illegals.

I'm actually a part of that group.
Look, no president has actually taken drastic measures to stop the flow of illegal immigrants. Each political side has a horse in the race. There has always been a slave work force or very cheap workforce during our nations history.
Now is no different. Many construction trade jobs have been overwhelmed by illegal immigrants working for far cheaper wages than American workers. I witnessed this first hand. Business gains from illegal immigration.
If the GOP was as serious as they act like they are about stopping illegal immigration, they would have at the very least slowed it down by a substantial amount, but they haven't. Their constituents have a lot to gain from cheap labor. The Dems want the votes.
Why else has nothing been done to stop it by either party?

You ... you realize people who are here illegally, can't vote. Right? Also, mexican people are by far some of the most devout Catholics I know. It's ingrained in their culture. I would think that if republicans were to welcome them into the country with open arms, that would be a very conservative voting bloc for them to count on.

Obama to Fundraise in Texas Today, Won't Visit Child Crisis on the Border President Obama is headed to Texas today where he will attend two fundraisers for Democrats but has no plans to visit the ongoing unaccompanied illegal immigration crisis, a crisis he created, on the southern border with Mexico. Officials from the Democratic National Committee say that the president will attend fundraising events on July 9 and 10 in Austin. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Texas filmmaker Robert Rodriguez will host the first event on July 9 at his Austin home. Tickets for the Rodriguez-hosted fundraiser range from $5,000 to $32,400. Jessica Alba, Demi Lovato, Rosario Dawson and Danny Trejo are slated to make appearances at the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The president will stay overnight in Austin and appear at a July 10 fundraiser and roundtable discussion hosted by Aimee Boone Cunningham at her home. Cunningham serves as the assistant secretary of the Center for Reproductive Rights. Tickets for this event are $32,400. Adding insult to injury, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez just happens to be a pro-illegal immigration advocate. Meanwhile it isn't just Republicans begging President Obama to visit the border, Democrats are calling for him to do so as well. Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar said earlier this week that the inhumane situation on the border could easily become President Obama's Katrina and that a visit is necessary for the president to truly understand how dire the situation really is. “If he wants to do the fundraisers first and then after that stop by the border, it’s not too far away. And it's really quite sad.
The GOP wants to get elected. Their supporters want them to get elected. But it's those on the fringe such as this example, that cause them to lose any credibility what so ever.
If these type of people would only realize how such ridiculous tangents hurt their own cause, they would probably stop. Or maybe not.....
It's those on the fringe like this that tend to scare moderates away from voting for the people they support. And they can never win without those moderates.

Can't we just annex everything down to Panama, or the Columbian border, (who would want Columbia), and export economic prosperity, freedom, (that one IS funny,) and a want to live there, ... plus get great new vacation spots like Americanized south of the border vacation towns. We could give them a new country of their own,( So they couldn't vote here and screw everything up) kind of like a puppet government, like Canada, ( ya, whatever, where'd they land the planes at noon on Sept, 11, 2001?) We could call it " South America" , ... Already exists? So What, that would really make everybody mad, " you can't call it South America, there's already a Continent called South America." I've got no problem with illegal immigrants, just don't think their vote should count, or as much, and tax the bazinga out of them. If we ran in there and built a place that people wanted to live and could have a great life there, then immigration wouldn't be as much of a problem. Maybe we could even move down there, I bet the Mountains are beautiful. Plus all those trillions of dollars of investment into rebuilding Mexico, hey look what it did for Iraq, it would really " stimulate" the economy. There's and ours.  Say What huh? As the Washington Times noted, "illegal immigrants are one of the few categories of people in the U.S. who aren’t subjected to Obamacare’s individual mandate requiring all people to have health insurance coverage." Illegal immigrants also "aren’t eligible for taxpayer subsidies" to buy Obamacare on the insurance exchanges. Polis said if the House can pass a pathway to citizenship for the country's illegal immigrants, "people who are here illegally will have to get insurance on their own instead of forcing Americans to pay for their insurance." This week, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and other House leaders ruled out going to conference on the Senate's immigration bill this year, but those who are championing a pathway to citizenship for the country's illegal immigrants--like Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)--have indicated they will make one more push for the legislation after the Republican primaries next year.
