Congrats to client Charley Hughlett (LS from #UCF) who just signed to the Cleveland Browns roster off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad.

Did Yount mess up again?

Obviously the FO n coaches had their mind made up that as long as they were playing for something Yount would not be changed keep things going. But whatever happened earlier in the season sunk deep.

The season is officially over and they had their mind set on this kid - they can grab him off of the practice squad and make them theirs. Not many teams keep a LS on their practice squad.

Might as well get him without competition. An early offseason move made during the last week and take advantage of the Practice Squad rules!

Assuming the kid is good, good move!

Interesting move, although not much money I'm sure, but Yount was signed through 2017.

Agreed. "As long as we're playing for something let's not rock the boat".

However, now that....................., etc, etc.

There had to be quirks/flaws in both Cundiff and Younts techniques at the time but replacing both in the middle of it all wouldn't make a whole lotta sense.

Teams kill for a good LS. I'm surprised another team didn't claim Charley especially during when Browns struggled.

Ah, makes me almost miss the days of Phil and Pontbriand and Cribbs. You know, when we had a dominant ST but just our offense and defense sucked.

There are a lot of players on the team and each one has a job, a responsibility. At some point, all the holes need to be filled/upgraded...

everyone jokes about a signing like this... what is the over and under or the .... "alight superbowl!!!" post?

But the first time a snap sails over the punters head or behind the holder they are the first to rise up with the WTF??? moments about the FO and how un prepared they are to take care of even the "simplest" of duties

I wonder how Yount feels, as the team signed Hughlett to a 3 year deal ..... and brought him in, even though Yount is signed for the next 3 or 4 years already.

Strange move. I don't know too many teams that carry 2 long snappers, even in the final game of a season. I guess they are protecting themselves if Yount struggles next year though, and that's probably a good idea.

From what little I can tell, it looks like he was LS in college, but played C and TE in high school.

According to PFT' "The decision to sign Hughlett comes a day after the Browns worked out, per a league source, long snappers Dax Dellenback, Brandon Hartson, and Luke Ingram."
