Man I was going to lay a big bet on the Browns last night.
Team is playing hard for Pettine.
If we could win this it could be the most meaningful meaningless game going into the offseason we've had in a long time.

4 rushing tds for West and 8 for Crowell. Not a bad stat considering how pitiful our rushing game was last season.... I like Shanahans offense.

So you want to sign Hoyer to starter money and anoint him the franchise QB for the next 5 years? Wow. 12 touchdowns, `13 interceptions and he's a franchise player.... Alrighty then. No, I want to sign Hoyer for a REASONABLE amount to help transition the Browns as Shaw (or whoever) develops. Bring in a quality backup (if you don't think Shaw is ready yet). Tell Hoyer it's his job. Period. I want to see what this guy can do with Mack anchoring this line for a FULL season and our RBs likely not hitting a wall after 10-12 games. Bring in some help to get pressure on the passer. Manziel should be an after thought at this point. Get what you can for Gordon. Have Gilbert return kicks and work as a nickel. Get OL depth where you can. We need a couple play makers at WR. Draft, FA, I don't care. It is clear that there are guys who will make an effort for Pettine. It is also clear that there are guys that won't. Hopefully Haslam let's Farmer do his job and Farmer sticks to his draft board. BPA is the topic of the day with two first rounders coming up. Depending on how it shakes out, maybe switch to a 4-3. We have to get better at some point, don't we? That assumes Hoyer will take backup money. He turned it down last off season. He believes he's a starter and will want starter money as a FA. It's likely some team will be desperate enough to give it to him. Hopefully that isn't us. You're assuming that Haslam FORCED Farmer to take Johnny. I've seen to evidence of this. Even if it was so, Farmer took Gilbert, a guy turning out to be an even bigger headcase. And West has shown attitude problems as well. It seems as if Farmer has a type that he like to draft and that type is egotistic nutjob. OK this has been going on all season even when the team was winning. What is your agenda? So we can all get on the same page! My agenda is a team that has it's head out of it's ass. A front office that drafts properly. And avoids taking head cases. My favorite Jimmy Johnson quote: "hit me in the head with a hammer if I draft a dumb player". of course you would qote Jimmy. His best WR was Michael Irvin. his stupidity alone tore the team apart. Spirit has a point. Even though Thomas made it, he's done anything but earn it this year. He's in because he is respected by his peers. No way he earned by his play on the field. Off topic...this will be Joe's 8th Pro Bowl selection. He has no playoff game appearances. Dick Butkus also had 8 Pro Bowls without a playoff appearance. Does anyone know if there are players with more Pro Bowl appearances WITHOUT playing in a playoff game? Thanks.

I forget who was happy that the Chargers were losing, but we want the Chargers to win, because that knocks the Ravens out of the playoffs. If the Chargers lose, and we lose to the Ravens, then the Ravens make the playoffs.
