OK OK so I finally broke it and could use everybody's prayers to get it fixed. Of course I am talking about my colon. I have been MIA around here for most of the last 2 weeks fighting some cancer that is picking on the wrong stubburn old fart. A tumor in my colon caused complete blockage and a attempt to place a stint in the colon ended up in a perferation which caused emergency surgery on Christmas.

As of this morning I am down 21 1/2 pounds, sporting a beautiful scar 40 staples long and adding this lovely looking (as us rednecks call them) poop bag with every outfit I wear. Trust me it really clashes with my birthday suit. I am still waiting on all the results from the tests and I won't know will next week if the cancer has spread to the liver or not, and to find out if I have stage 1,2, or 3. Stage 4 has already been eliminated (Thank you Lord) I still have some fighting to do and I could really use a few of y'alls prayers right now.

You do your fighting.. I'll do the backing you up. Hang in there!

Not quite the story I was expecting to hear upon your return. Worry not, you're going to have a whole lot of people in your corner to help with this fight.

I've talked w/GM in some PMs this past week. I can guarantee you a couple of things:

--he will fight
--he still has his sense of humor

Like others have said, there is power in prayer and I'm sure that the DawgTalk members will have God's ear.

This cancer is in for one heckuva battle, because GM has a lot going for him. A fighting attitude, a great sense of humor, and the power of prayer.

My thoughts and prayers are with you GM. Cancer is the schoolyard bully and you are the one that will kick its ass.

Hearing this news is devastating. You know I consider you a friend. You most certainly have my support and prayers. If there's anything I can do, anything at all, please don't hesitate to call. GM I read this earlier (several hours ago) and I had to wait to post because you are going through something very similar to what my father went through. I'm happy you've got the fight in you and I wish you all the best on a speedy remission (hopefully they got it all and you are cancer free) and clean bill of health.

If you would like to talk to somebody that has been through this recently about the zigs and zags OR just some unbiased perspective; just PM me. I didn't have the cancer, but I helped my dad navigate his fight for over 10 years.

GM we've never met but I feel like I know this much about you... there is no way anything could survive in your GI tract. Not even cancer.
Keep a positive attitude. Accept help when you need it. Let those that care rally around you.
