http://draftbreakdown.com/video/shane-ray-vs-south-carolina-2014/vs South Carolina Elite quickness and high motor. That's his game. Struggles vs the run though. Effort is there, but not made for the trenches. Not sure he's a 3 down player at OLB. Looks like an elite situational pass rusher. A more efficient version of Bark Mingo. Finishes plays. So far he's the best pure pass rush prospect I've seen in this class.

Bark Mingo.
Yep, that's it right there for me. I think his teammate Golden is a much more complete player and won't take a top 15 pick to get.

Excellent pass rusher w/high motor.
Weak minded and undisciplined.
There is always a place for a guy who just rushes the passer, but he'll likely go very high. Not sure if he is worth that type of investment.

I don’t understand what people see in this guy. Vastly undersized for almost any important role in the NFL as an edge rusher. Doesn’t set the edge well, his only real move is his get off. Piled up a bunch of sacks against trash competition who were forced to throw from being down.
At one point, I was like, is this Left Tackle for Kentucky actually good? No. Shane Ray is over rated. He projects to me as a situation pass rusher.
He does have a high motor and plays hard. You see him a lot chasing down guys from behind, which you love to see from a coaching aspect, but his skills aren't 1st round material. He’d make a nice late 2nd or 3rd round pick but someone is going to take him in the 2nd. I've seen him as high as top 5? Lmao someone is going to be sorry for that.

One thing I've noticed as I watched more Missouri games is he actually got a number of his sacks this year lining up at DT next to Golden on third down. Complete mismatch against guards for quickness, but it wouldn't translate to the NFL.
BpG, funny you mention that about the Kentucky LT. I thought the same thing when watching their game against Florida. Maybe he is decent.

Yeah, I don't always agree with all of his stuff, but him and Steve seem to be great sources of draft information.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
