If money was no object where would you live and what would you be doing?
I would live on a tropical island. I would walk around in a tank top shorts and flip flops for the rest of my life. I would have a house full of busty Asian ladies. Oh, I would also start a non-profit organization designed to help these same ladies in their native lands. Why? Cause I care, that's why. When not serving the less fortunate, I would help empower people to start their businesses.

Ocala Florida on a 20 acre site in a home that my wife would like.
I'd have a 10 bay garage with about every tool a man could want to work on cars.
I'd spend my time building a Nissan 300ZX with a 2015 Nissan GR-r Engine and drive train built out to the max.
I'd also have a 1967 Camaro with Small block, built up Chevy engine. Probably a 327.
I'd also have a paint booth and the ability to dip cars.
Oh yeah, I'd also need a VERY good divorce lawyer..

I would be right where I am. I live just SW of Nashville Tennessee. I enjoy the different seasons and winter here isn't usually very harsh. The people are friendly and job growth has been at such a rapid pace, that people from all over the country have been moving here so it's a nice cross section of people.
My daughter and grandchildren live here and I enjoy spending time with my family and seeing my grandchildren grow up. Given those circumstances, there's no place I'd rather be.
I'm not really about money per say. It's nice to have enough to do some of the things you want to do. But as I've gotten older, I have come to an understanding that your family, your beliefs and your principals are what's really important. As such, I've found a certain peace I never knew as a younger man.
I enjoy my life to the fullest and wouldn't change a thing.

I'd still live here in the PacNW though would have a place on Kauai to run off to when desired. I'd quit nursing and continue building art. My Burning Man projects would get a lot more crazy and high tech.

Prague for Thursday night ladies night, Nuremberg at this club called WoN for friday night, Berlin on saturday nights at this club called H2O.
sunday be spent in strasbourg, France at a cafe somewhere with my macbook pro like a douche.

If money were no object:
I'd have 2 other homes: one in the mountains beside a lake, and the other someplace warm and tropical. After that' I'd need virtually nothing that I don't already have. Then...
...I'd anonymously bankroll a state-of-the-art performance venue for my colleagues: concert hall, recital hall, education center... and I'd enjoy sitting onstage as a rank-and-file member of the ensemble, never once letting on that "all this was my doing." There would be no plaque with my name on it, no endowed chair bearing my identity. The name of the place would be something like:
"The NW Ohio Performing Arts Complex" -or words to that effect.
I'd reduce my playing contract to do only Classics and Chamber concerts, sit in the back of the section, and I'd take time off occasionally when I needed some time in my other homes.
Yeah... that would be sweet.
*The Ed Center: a significant portion of their efforts would be geared toward providing music outreach lessons/ensembles to disadvantaged inner-city kids. I've seen first-hand how an education in music/arts can lift a person out of despair to become a productive citizen. This would be at the center of its 'mission statement.'

I'd buy the Steelers, move them to London, and change their colors to aqua and peach.
Nah. I'd buy a house/condo in San Diego, Colorado (Avon), a better condo in Chicago and then just sit back and relax.

I would have a home here, in the CVNP... something farm-like. I'd also have a home in Bermuda, and one in either Tahoe or Vail... maybe Belize, too (for the times winter really gets me down). I'd spent a LOT of time traveling the world and seeing everything it has to offer. I'd do a marathon on every continent. I'd train full-time for triathlons. I'd spend my time enjoying life rather than wasting so much time doing things that merely allow me to manage small chunks of free time. I'd build my own mini-"cloud" server system and move this site onto it. I'd get around to working on all of the ideas I have to make this the best damned place on the internet to go for football talk. I'd still live as simple a life as possible. I'd learn a couple new languages. I'd learn a musical instrument. I'd build a hot rod I'd have a wood shop and a full metal shop (including a small foundry).
Browns is the Browns

If money were no object, I wouldn't live anywhere.
I'd take my entire family around the world, along with a nanny\teacher for the kids so they could continue their school. We've seen a decent chunk of Europe, but need to see a lot more in the world.
For work, I'd do some type of volunteering for some organization that's spread around the world. Perhaps teaching computer classes around the world or something.

I enjoy my life to the fullest and wouldn't change a thing. Pit, your answer just hit me the right way. I have always been motivated to climb the ranks in my profession. I am considered an up and comer and reaching an executive leadership position is likely in my reach. I currently make very good money in my current position. But as I continue to climb the ladder that money continues to get even better. I always thought this is what I wanted. Since I've had my kids, I realized I don't want to miss anything with them. Not one single moment. I began asking myself how much is enough. My current position allows my wife to stay home, enjoy a very nice quality of life for my family, and provides a reasonable work life balance. The work life balance will erode as I continue to move up. I've done a lot of thinking about this and have decided I no longer want to move up. I don't want to commit to the tradeoff and sacrifices that would come with it. Since coming to this realization, I have never been more at peace. Having said that, if money were truly no object, I would want a home in Maui, San Diego, and Santa Barbara. These are our favorite places, and I would love to have our own space and stuff whenever we went there. But I guess vrbo will do.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

I would be in NYC, with a much nicer apartment. A boat docked on the river. A house in the Poconos on a lake with a killer bass boat. and vacation around the world a lot

I, too, have reached the point where I don't really want to climb any higher. Maybe one more step up, but that would definitely be it.
I make pretty decent money and I know the challenges of higher positions would take away from family time, and I'm not willing to do that. Maybe in 20 years, but certainly not now.
I worked on a project that had me on the road for most of 3 months (and more before and after that) but it caused me to miss my son's entire baseball season. I was sick about it. On the plus side, it helped me get good exposure in my company and get me to the position I'm in now, where I'm comfortable. If I had to do it over, i'm not sure if I would.

I second San Diego.
Nice temperate climate. Large navy base. (I think military bases bring in a good element to large metro areas). Tons of things to do. Close to LA.
I'd also buy the Steelers, change their colors to mauve and pink, and move the team to Key West.

If money were no object, it wouldn't matter where I "lived" ... It'd be on the road 90% of the time -- Following my sports teams around, seeing different arenas/stadiums, etc.

If money was no object, I'd live in kauai, and would go to Cia (the culinary school, the one in Napa Valley), and I'd develop all kinds of cannabis culinary creations, from appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. I'd own and be executive chef at a world class restaurant that would feature an amazing menu, and, separately, another menu for those looking to get all medicinal with their meal, or for those looking for a buzz outside their stale and square Mai Tai world..
I would want this restaurant to help erase the stigma associated with cannabis, and the idea of edibles, while some dishes would get you lifted, I would want to craft others that simply used the many complex cannabis flavors to enrich the normal Joe's palate without the accompaniments of any kind of "high," except maybe the high that comes from eating a great dinner. ..
The kind of place that could get you really high every time you came, while also having the cannabis menu for ppl wanting another kind of buzz to accompany their meal. ..
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

I honestly don't know. I'd be torn between my current home of Chicago, my hometown of Cleveland, and actual warm weather year round.
I always said if I won the lottery, I'd have a home in Chicago, a condo somewhere in downtown Cleveland, and some form of housing on the west coast.
What would I do? I would dedicate some of my time to helping families find lost loved ones. I've been interested in missing persons cases for years. I know most of them will end in bad news, but every once in a while you get a crazy ending like we all saw in Cleveland with the three girls. I don't have any personal experience with losing anyone like that, but it's just been something that has grabbed my interest for a long time.
That, and I would go to different football games in different stadiums around the country. More college than pro, but definitely both.

I'd buy the Browns but live on my own private island in the Caribbean... The fans would either love or hate me.... I'd be that type of owner that you don't see often.... I'd hire solid football guys and let them run the business and mainly just come in for the important things.... I'd spend most of my time on my private island.....I'd also have a summer house in Maine or Alaska... On top of a moutian....

The house would be in the mountains of VA or KY, with the house built into a hillside with a bunker, cistern, hidden solar and hydrogen converters to get me off the grid, and all the mod cons. Is anyone surprised?

I think I'd become a Warlord in Africa. I'd raise a large force of mercs and try to bring order to some of the regions. I'm tired of hearing about poor innocent people trying to eak out a living being slaughtered by groups like the Janjaweed or Boko Haram. I have a tendency to disagree with enough people here when it comes to race issues here at home, but I'd say I'd agree that the world doesn't care about Africa.

I'd stay where I'm at but would blow up my decent house to build one exactly as I want. It would have a lot of windows and a place for the g-kids to run, scream, play with toys and stuff during the winter. It'd have a fun little music studio just to fart around in, but sound proofed to crank the amps. A nice, just big enough dining room to sit all of our family comfortably.
It would have landscaping that required just enough maintenance to get me outside to do something everyday and plenty of recreation area for family and friends to enjoy.

I think this is the key to a winning NFL franchise.

Right here in Parkersburg, WV. I would pay off the house, the cars, the credit card debit and enjoy life. I would remain in my job because I enjoy what I do. I would allow my children to decide where we would be going on vacation and for how long. I would upgrade my kitchen to be more "professional", rehab the rec room, add a hot tub and spend time really getting to know my family.
Oh, yeah, and spend at least a month every year in Italy.

I would buy the Browns and be a very meddlesome owner.
I would buy the Burke Lakefront Airport property and make it a large public park. I would hold a music festival there once a year in September (on a weekend the Browns have an away game) similar to Austin City Limits music festival. I would make it available to other events throughout the year.
I'd like to say that after that I would do something philanthropic... like create a job skills training center / temporary residence for homeless people, or a healthy food program for disadvantaged children, or something like that that I think is a good idea, but probably I would end up just spending the rest of my free time with my family.

I think I would live in many places. I would own many homes. I would travel the world, create a Foundation to help rebuild inner cities, create PAC to work towards defending individual liberties. I would have a building full of lawyers to FOIA every single government document from the highest officials down to the requisition forms for toilet paper in every government building. I would sue government officials when I could and I would expose government corruption.
