I did like the Chevy Colorado one right before the game where it looked like your tv went out right before the game lol I wonder how many Dish and cable owners were yelling at their TV's laugh

TV and media in general has been like that for years.

Fact. I guess I was just hoping they would leave ONE thing for us men.

This is why I didn't like the halftime show. Put Rush up there playing YYZ and I'll be happy about it.

As to why they show commercials before the game, advertising is about attention as we all know, and the more attention they get the better.

Saw something on the history channel (back when it was about history) on advertising. They were talking about the Apple computer commercial, the one with the girl running with the hammer. Somebody wanted to fire that ad company after seeing it until they realized how much buzz it generated the rest of the week.

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM
my two cents...

There were a couple of good sentimental commercials that I liked, but there really weren't any funny commercials that I saw.

What did you guys think?

Not sure what happened with these, but they have been going down hill for years.

Man, did Goddell put the cabosh on them as he promotes family time with these lame arse half time shows?

The bigger the audience base, the broader and more watered down the content has become.

Women are tuning into the NFL now, and as a result, ads will reflect that, as women tend to have more of a say when it comes to what disposable income goes towards.

When it became profitable.

Men, in large part, are not going anywhere as viewership and interest go. The male demographic is bordering on market saturation, i.e., gambling, viewership, fantasy football etc.

However, women are the NFL's newly tapped resource. There has been an enormous push to draw women to the game. Also, there is data that shows, if I recall, a 20% increase in women's involvement in fantasy football which is a huge source of revenue, which leads to increased league-wide interest. It's the next step in expanding the NFL brand and increasing revenue. No longer will the guy be asking his wife if he can go to the game with his buddies, she'll want to go too!

In the end, this shift in advertising shouldn't be surprising, it's just business.

Nice.

You have a lot of good takes. One of the better "thinkers" on the board.
