I hate CP3. Makes me glad he's gonna be in the T-Mac / Melo category for his legacy. Stat padders that won't be remembered.

Candy, why do you hate CP3?
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Our bench should be able to close this one out... Maybe need to take that back, this group cannot put any points on the board. They've also had like, three balls stolen from them in a short time period. I think I saw Miller, Jones, and Marion go a combined 0-12 for 3s in the last 4 minutes alone.. Miller chucking looked worse than Scalabrine out there. When he tossed up that near airball with a minute left and nine seconds on the shot clock i was like "oh man are we gonna lost this?"

Miller was extremely disappointing yday. Had some great looks and kept missing and missing very badly. The bench all together didn't help. The only reason the score was what it was toward the end was bc the lack of production from the bench yday.

Miller rarely even plays. i think when we got a sizable lead, they need to see some minutes that actually matter. cause come playoff time, they can't be coming off cold like that.

The death of the rugged big man is greatly exaggerated. I agree. I think people always looked at guys like Hakeem, Robinson and Shaq and said that teams were winning without those kind of big men scoring in the middle, so big men were no longer needed. But those guys were amazing two-way players, not only could they put up points in the middle, but they also gave you defense. You don't necessarily need a two-way big man, but you still need that defensive presence in the middle. You can see the 180 difference with Moz in there. While he doesn't always put up huge stats, you can see other teams guards scared as heck to drive the lane. They seem to be taking a lot more jumpshots, which lead to quick rebounds, which lead to quick offense. Guys like Love and Thompson can focus much more on rebounding. Guys on the perimeter can focus on their defense as well, knowing they've got a guy behind them that can pick them up. It's all lead to a much better defensive effort, which in turn has spurred the offense. It's been fun to watch!

Come playoff time, most teams won't get any deeper than the 8th guy on the bench, unless there are injuries. I think Blatt has been giving the main guys huge minutes early in the season because he wants them to gel NOW rather than later. It's already starting to pay off. You can see the guys getting a lot more used to each other and it's part of the reason they're playing better. Kyrie and Lebron have both kind of found their roles within the team. Love is still working on it a bit. Come March and April, they'll probably get a LOT more rest and you'll see a lot more bench minutes. Then when the playoffs come around, we'll go back to an 8-man rotation and stick with it. By then, those guys will know how to play together from the big minutes earlier in the season, but they'll still have lots of rest from an easier Spring.

I would agree, I think the first team is still building that chemistry and getting to know each other so even with the leads, they are still getting the playing time but for sure, bench needs more time. With that said, the bench needs to make more an impact when granted that time.

If we reach the finals, Blatt is riding our Big 3 to the finish line. All 3 of them would probably average 40+ min a game in a series of that magnitude. It's why I want us to shut it down in April.

I would even be ok if we dropped a few spots in the East, because we gave everybody some rest..
But with the way the East is going, we may not even have to worry about that..
I think we can finish 2nd, while still giving guys rest...
If you give LBJ, Kyrie, or Love they day off when were playing a bad team, we can still win that game.. etc.

I'll go further. I don't care where we finish as a seed in the East. If everyone is healthy and rested, then I think we will run through the conference pretty easily (and, yes, that includes Atlanta).

The Cavs look like a different team. I think it starts w/LBJ. He was being lazy, careless, and soft earlier. He is not playing much harder, much smarter, and w/more of a purpose.
The trades helped a lot. They really did. But, I still think it starts and ends w/LeBron.
What was his relationship w/Waiters? Anyone know.

All of those teams are very good and the series would go six games at least.

Love's defense is atrocious.

I know they played last night, but man, these are the Pacers. Let's close this out.

Oh well
A streaky shooter went off. Love is so God damn soft. Looking at him and Jordan Cameron I kind of wonder if "California soft" is a real thing.

Kind of funny you posted some injury prone guys and James Harden in an attempt to be your condescending self. All are great players though.

Road trip on a back-to-back. Those are always tricky games. Indiana also hit a 4 point prayer shot which was pretty much the difference in the game. Hopefully we can bounce back and win the three before the All-Star break.

The Pacers did a whole lot of things better than the Cavaliers, especially as far as moving the ball, and getting to the line. We also went cold shooting the ball after a strong 1st quarter.
We're back in 4th, tied with the Bulls.
Oh well, time to start a new streak.
