Midround WR prospect- Chris Conley. Killed the combine. Georgia was a run-first team so didn;t rack up stats. Student-athlete, good head on his shoulders. Physical potential of Josh Gordon without the brain of Josh Gordon.

Could say the same thing about Stephen Hill.

I'm just saying.

I admit to giving attention to this receiver only after his combine performance. I also admit that I observe with the eyes of an average fan. So take this for what it's worth.

When I did look at Conley I saw a guy who understands route concepts, displays good body control, gets separation and generally uses his athleticism smartly. That doesn't say Stephen Hill to me. If I'm taking a WR in round one, say, Jaelen Strong, I would seriously consider a fourth round pick on this kid as a compliment.

Rookie Scouting Portfolio - Conley

Totally valid. Similar story although Conley did catch more balls overall and looks on tape to be a little more than a "sprint and then go up and get it" guy.

I'm certainly not saying he's a first or even second rounder. But I start getting interested in the third and if he's there in the fourth its a no brainer.

I like posts such as this one and the one before yours.

I don't know enough about this draft to even think if you guys are right or wrong, but I like how you are looking at things.

So I know we can't. And I know we won't. But man, oh, man... if Malcom Brown isn't available at 12 I want us to draft Dorial Green-Beckham. He is easily the best player in the draft, and probably the second best prospect behind Famous Jameis. He is the only guy that you know will dominate his competition on every snap. He plays hard, is a good blocker, is enormous, has such quick hands... Honestly he's a perfect player. He's Calvin Johnson. I don't even care if he gets suspended at some point he is just the best. Yes, I worry about what message it sends to the locker room when they say they're trying to change the culture, but not enough to not draft him. Check out DaVante Parker vs. Kentucky, and Amari Cooper vs. Kentucky, and then watch DGB vs. Kentucky.

Taking Green-Beckham comes with risks, risks I'm no longer willing to spend high picks on to see and hope it works out for the best. At this stage, I hope this staff passes on most players that have a decent amount of red flags. Especially in the early rounds. JMO

Hopefully, Farmer and Kuharich have some relationships with the Missouri staff from their time in KC and can get the real scoop on him. I'm leary about the red flags, and would definitely run plenty of checks on the guy. At the same time, he could get suspended a couple games into the season and still see as much time on the field as Manziel and Gilbert did last year. If it were just the marijuana, I might take the chance, but the pushing an 18 y.o. woman down some steps added on I probably wouldn't risk it.

If the Phins do not trade up, I think they are the first chance for DKB to land on an NFL roster. I dont think there is any chance the kid makes it to the 2nd.

I would try to trade up with the Rams and get Parker. I think he will end up the best receiver out of this class. I dont think it will cost us a lot to move up those 2 spots. This would let the rams move back 2 spots and still get the top OL of their choice.

If Shelton makes it past the Giants, I think he is there at 19. man we get out of the first with Parker and Shelton.

2nd. Tre Jackson OG FSU would be a fantastic pickup here. I like Grecco but I would love to have Grecco as that 6th offensive linemen that can start at any position on the interior and never skip a beat.

3rd I come back to the OL, and take Penn St Donovan Smith. He needs to learn and improve technique. He sits for a year and he gives us a tackle that could actually come in and start if needed and likely will take over for Schwartz in a year.

4th, I want a fullback and the kid from Bama Fowler would be the perfect addition

4th, Manion or Grayson here would add the big arm developmental QB that I want on my roster. I think one or maybe both will be here.

The rest of the picks i trade for future picks in next years draft where i think there is a lot more talent unless someone who is a real steal falls.

I like the idea of going back to back OL picks , but We are in need of a outside pass rush also ????

Armonty Bryant moving to OLB imho was the single best move we have made this offseason. I believe he has the ability to be a 15 sack a year prospect. With him opposite Kruger, thats 2 scary pass rushers.

Honestly, I'd rather have Agholor than Parker. JMHO

Very interesting move to say the least .. I predicted a break out year for Armonty last season ( of course he gets a season ending injury ) .. I still think " I " would look at improving the pass rush over taking another OL that high .. Now YOU know I love the trenches , but just saying !

I like Agholor but I really want that redzone threat. I think Parker fills the biggest need for us at the receiver position. IF we go another direction at 12, I would take DKB at 19 to fill that void. We really havent had that big time redzone threat since BE and k2.

Bowe and Gabriel are homerun threats. Hartline and Hawkins are more work the short middle game but we just dont have that guy that is gonna demand the double once inside the redzone. With the way Crow goes nuts inside the 30 add a Parker or DKB and we aren't kicking fieldgoals.

He has that rare first step. Right now, I think the only guys that have that elite first step like Armonty is Elvis Dumerville and Von Miller. Thats no exageration. I dont know if he can transfer the rest of the skills necessary but I want him rushing the passer.

I am intrigued by Conley. I heard him talk on NFL Radio about a week or two ago, and it was really obvious that the man is not your typical football player from a mental perspective. He is as eloquent as most coaches, perhaps moreso, as he does not have to rely upon cliches.

Add that to some of the best numbers associated with the combine.

Browns break bread with Breshad Perriman

Eventually, it will be easier to list the teams that haven’t shown interest in former Central Florida receiver Breshad Perriman.

Per a league source, Browns G.M. Ray Farmer and other team executives had dinner with Perriman on Sunday night in Orlando.

Perriman last week visited the Jets, Titans, and Dolphins, and he has drawn interest from the likes of the Panthers, Bears, Lions, Steelers, Eagles, and Ravens.

Mike Mayock of NFL Network previously pegged four receivers for the top 20: Amari Cooper, Kevin White, DeVante Parker, and Perriman. Cooper is regarded as the clear favorite to go first. After that, it could be any of the other three.

The Browns currently hold the No. 12 and No. 19 picks in round one. The extra first-round selection resulted from the decision in 2014 not to take receiver Sammy Watkins but instead to trade down with the Bills. The Browns ultimately selected no receivers in last year’s draft, even though they knew Josh Gordon was facing a one-year suspension. (It later became a 10-game suspension, but he has since been suspended for another year.)

Regardless of the order in which they come off the board, look for another round one run on receivers — especially after the five taken in the first round last year (Watkins, Mike Evans, Odell Beckham Jr., Brandin Cooks, Kelvin Benjamin) have shown that, as football becomes more and more of a passing game, more and more guys coming out of college are pretty good at catching the ball. I love Perriman. He's got all the talent in the world, but played with barely college level QB play at UCF last year.

Legit option at 12. Big physical receiver, attacks the ball and 4.24 speed. Been hearing his name as the newest member of the big 3 lol. You dont interview a guy the weeekend before the draft unless you are very very serious about drafting this kid.

I wanted to add, he does have questionable hands and that is why he is a notch below the big 3.
