Hi refs, i've been gone for a while, and returned over the weekend to ask a question about Bentley - I did search for other threads about him and didn't see anything recent or specific before I started mine. If I violated some rule, or someone else did, could you please let me know what happened and why its gone?

Further, I thought I made it clear that I had been searching the internet for recent credible information, and having found none, was asking this group what if anything they might know about his timetable for return. Sorry if this was a violation of the "no questions" rule, but I thought from reading it that you could say "I've found no news about this player, and would like to know what anyone has?"

As GM pointed out, your post more than likely violated the "request for information" rule. It's there to prevent people from simply starting threads without looking for any info that is already out there, and even though you did that beforehand, it still violates the basic premise of the rule that is in place to prevent board clutter.

I hope to hang out a bit more when I can, but I have to say the summary execution of my thread, and no response at all from the powers that be, is a bit discouraging.

Refposters come in mighty handy as they know the rules well and we always welcome them steering newer posters in the right direction.

Your thread was deleted for the reason GM and Shep gave. It's hard to allow any thread that violates a rule without allowing others as well. You know where that can lead.

I realize there is no real information on the web about LeCharles and that's about all anyone here has; no real information. There should be some news on him upcoming as it's nearing that time where they should share something.

I hope they give us some news soon....I'm hoping no news is good news.

Someone correct if I'm wrong here, but wasn't it just a month or so ago that Bentley was quoted as saying, if he didn't need another surgery, he'd be back sometime this year,, but if he did, it probably means he won't be back until the 2008 season!

In addition, weren't we supposed to know whether he needed the additional surgery sometime in May?

Did I just dream that or did it really happen?

I recall something along those lines, I think the reference to May was "they won't know until some time in May whether or not another surgery is needed".

That probably translates to " the fans won't know until almost training camp whether or not LCB needs surgery"

Thanks for the info - and leaving this up here - this served the same purpose which for me was to confirm that there is no news - which is GOOD news IMO.
