What planet are these two guys from? Mariota-Parker-Maxx? None of those three will be available at our picks. Nonsense, simply dreaming...

Yes. People who seek help, because they are addicted to a substance that is causing great harm to their well-being, are being babied.

At least now we know who we don't have to pay attention to. Some people on here are stealth idiots, he's holding a flag that says, "Don't listen to me!" That makes things a lot easier.

I've "known" daytnabacker for years, primarily on the old Browns site, and this seems totally out of character for him... superconfused

Too funny, he's a scam artist man. And trust me, my life is great regardless what your opinion is. I surround myself with nothing but 'STRONG MINDED' individuals.

That image he had in college is gone, he's still trying to cash in on his freshman year. No thanks man, I want someone who driven to be a CHAMPION....but whatever..

32, it's not out of character. My ROI isn't promising, what has Manziel brought to the table other than headaches?

I can understand your position. I just don't agree with the weak minded part. I don't see weakness in a person who sees a problem and seeks help to correct the problem.

Now, if the problem continues, that is weak minded.

There are lots of problems in society today - I think I'd place the culture of posting comments like this as a bigger problem than people showing respect or compassion for each other. The problem with the culture of posting mindless insults and generalities is that you get things like : Man you just showed what a classless, ignorant fool you are.

I see we have a bunch of simple minds on here so I'll explain my position like this (read carefully, it's the difference between winning and losing);

Recall Flip saying he wants Johnny to eat, sleep, drink football? Do any of you mocking me have any idea what he meant by that? Didn't think so. If you eat, drink and sleep your passion, you don't have time or the desire for the BS Manziel is doing.

Put down the drink or rolled up coke snorting bills and pick up a damn football! Pick up that I-Pad and watch film. Engross yourself into your craft and get rid of all the trash friends you have and move forward. You don't need to hide behind rehab if your mind is strong enough to make that choice.

Understand now? It's a frickin simple choice man. It WORKS!

Manziel's choice is to reclaim his college image first instead of working on what he's getting PAID for. I don't respect that at all.

Quick story; My fiance 10 year old son is struggling with common core math. He tries telling me he's doing the best he can. I told him that's BS. The true character of a man is what he does when nobody is looking. You only work on math when you're told too. If you're trying as hard as you can, you would work on it without being told to. Get it?

The least intelligent are always the first to lash out with insults when they are failing to express themselves with debate.

No rookie truly understands what kind of preparation it takes to make it in the NFL. This is always something that is learned through time and experience.

From year 1 to year 2 is the greatest time of growth for anyone in the nfl both mentally and physically. The fact that Manziel not only recognized there is a problem but took the steps to rectify this problem shows that he in fact has a strong mind.

Many do not want Johnny to succeed and dont want to give him a chance either on or off the field. Most are the media, who are just in love with bad johnny and want nothing more than to see him fail as well as the Hoyer cultists that are going to hate anyone and everyone that had anything to do with Hoyer leaving.

I want our rookie to be given a chance to prove himself. He succeeds, we win. If he fails, we start our search again but he will get the chance to prove himself one way or the other. We are stacking the deck in his favor. In fact I have never seen any Browns QB have a supporting cast built around him the way this rookie has.

Johnny will likely be out of rehab in the next 14 days and we will see what happens.

LOL...1 man and that's now the rule. Favre was GREAT before he got hooked on pain pills. Totally different. Manziel is a con artist trying to buy time.

Manning, Brees, Brady, and countless other GREATS that are passionate about their career wouldn't let drugs or alcohol impede their progress.

I'm former military and own and operate a 7 figure a year business. I don't frickin make excuses or accept them. When I hire people, knowledge and experience takes a backseat to someone that shows me a strong mind and the will to succeed. Those 2 characteristics will out perform a more experienced and knowledgeable person in the long run. Johnny has neither!

Winning is a mindset, some folks have no clue what that mindset is.

Two months in rehab?

1) That's not a party.
2) There was a serious problem.

Manziel is giving it his best shot to succeed as an NFL player.

I'll give him a 1-out-of-2 shot of still being on the roster at the end of this coming season.

1-out-of-4 he's the Brown's starting QB by the last game.

Really? read my quick story a few posts back about my fiance's 10 year old son. 'Giving his best shot' are just words man. I said earlier the true character of a man is what he does when nobody is looking. EVERYBODY is watching Johnny. This rehab is a bunch of bull.

I would respect him a hell of a lot more if I heard that Johnny went into seclusion to work on his game. But noooooo, he wants people to feel sorry for him because his image was wrecked, not the league.

I am pleased that Manziel seems to be taking his problems seriously. Will he succeed? Who knows. I am not going to bury the guy though. People throw around accusations about cocaine and such, but none of us know what his problem is. Could it be cocaine? Sure, it could be. Could he be an alcoholic? Sure. Do we know? Nope.

I hope that whatever his problems are, that he works through them and recovers his health in that regard. Then I hope that he works his ass off and becomes the next great Browns QB. Will he? I don't know. However, that is my hope. If I have a chance to grab a guy I think can be a great QB, do I pass because I have Manziel? Of course not. However, as long as the guy is a member of the Cleveland Browns, I will hope that he becomes a great player for us.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Good post YTown but that's exactly why I feel this is bull. How about working your ass off NOW to become that great QB instead of some unknown reason you're in rehab. If he would do this an amazing thing will surface, the realization that you don't need rehab. The harder and longer you work, the less time for demons to appear. The 2 go hand in hand. Reeks of BS.

LOL Memphis. I happen to respect a lot of his opinions as well as yours. For what it's worth, I think about the posters that would make a great business team. Vers is at the top of that list. You found a spot in the boardroom also tongue

Success is just a formality but it would be entertaining.

so......What if JM leads to us 7 wins next season?

Would that be an upgrade compared to what hoyer brought us, minus paying him? or.....I'm just really not sure what to think at this point.

We got one JM probably gonna start, and another all up in rehab.
