Since we have all discussed informed voting, I was just curious where we will all get our reliable information to become informed on the presidential candidates. Televison, radio, articles, reports, interviews, debates etc.. ..what is your prederence?

I am hoping also to learn about some new reliable resources out there.

trying to stick to the main sources, as there's too many "opinion" articles from all these other websites, without actual hard facts.

so yahoo, msnbc, fox news, msn.com, cnn.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

I think research shows most people search out sources they want to hear from.

I get right, left, conservative, and liberal viewpoints on all candidates. I also listen to what the candidates say.

Yeah, that's whay I am trying to avoid for myself. I want to hear all viiewpoints, ideas, thoughts, not just those that align with my beliefs. That is how I feel I can truly make an informed decision going to the polls.

Besides the usual media sources, I like this site:

http://www.ontheissues.org/default.htm

Its a non-partisan examination of the various candidates' stances on issues, as portrayed by their words and their votes.

Another website I like is:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/?state=nwa

Op-eds and analysis from both sides, poll results showing trends around the country; an all-in-all good source of info.

When they report on the USA BBC America is fairly non-biased.

I can't think of many American sources that everybody agrees is non-biased. For instance I listen to npr and many consider that to be extremely liberal.

Interesting, we listen to NPR and try to balance with what we read or hear from other sources. Seems a multifaceted approach may provide the most accurate information on the candidates for those of us seeking to be informed and educated voters.

I get my information from all sources. Usually I listen to what they have to say. I get an impression of someone. I also listen to those who oppose them are saying. I have my personal desires in a candidate and I apply my expectations to their personalities and ideology. If my candidate does not get the nomination, the winning nominee has to work twice as hard for my support because I did not find them to be my choice to begin with for a reason.

I watch Fox News. I read the Drudge Report. I read the New York Post. I read other articles if they catch my interest from all sorts of media outlets. I enjoy Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin. They have a specific tilt to their shows but it is their personalities that are entertaining.

I will read through each candidates own website and believe about 50% of it. Then I will listen to some speeches and believe about 10% of it. Then I will watch the news and believe about 1.3% of it.

So you will be 61.3% sure of who you're voting for?

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I'm going to create a presidential Magic 8 Ball. Go on Shark Tank, get a seat next to Mr. Wonderful after about a year and not have to worry about any of this crap ever again!

What do the people that don't like fox news consider credible, then? MSNBC?

Just about anything other than FOX.

I often wonder when there's an outcry to fire someone on the Networks for mistakes or misinformation why Fox has never fired anyone.

None seem to really be credible. The only thing you can really do is listen to them all and figure the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Anything not of American origin.
Unless it is something that deals explicitly and exclusively with the financial markets, like Bloomberg, I would consider ALL American television and print news outlets to be biased in one way or another, and thus generally untrustworthy.

You have noticed that most European news outlets are liberal, haven't you? Granted, the UK papers are very good at scooping US papers on scandals, but they still lean very left.

Some people feel anything that doesn't align with their belief system is somehow flawed or slanted.
