Playstation, Xbox, PC or whatever. Let's talk about games, what games you're currently playing and games under consideration.

It's a third person game so of course I checked it out. It looks decent. They have many avenues they can take basing it off Mad Max movies, which makes it exciting with "hope".
I'm not on a 'I need to pre-order right now', but like BloodBorn, I'm interested in the details and especially the reviews.

There are two major problems with games based off movies. The first is that they don't pay the best teams to create the game. Whether that is their decision, or the fact that the budget is tight and whichever company they pay to make the game has to put less skilled team on it..
The other problem is that on top of budget issues, the stick a ridiculous deadline date for the release, for obvious reasons.
Although if you really want a Mad Max type game, can't you just play Borderlands?

Borderlands is a first person game, I just cannot get into that view/game.
As for what else you said, pretty much agree. One of few exceptions was Ghostbusters, that game was actually freaking fun! Little short, but still very fun but maybe that was because I was such a big Ghostbusters fan as a kid.

Yup, and it was done many years after the release. I really think they could have done better. Someone made a mod of a game a while back and it got spread around as a beta. It looked incredible.
Seriously though, Borderlands is amazing. If you can put up with the FPS, it's so much fun. Thousands of gun combos, looting, and a storyline that's fun and doesn't take itself seriously at all. One of my favorites of the last 5 or 6 years.
I'm rattling off the last few months of use out of my xbox 360 before I upgrade to next gen. Determined to finish off the Mass Effect series...bout 2/3 through Mass Effect 3 right now.
Apart from that, NCAA football 14 (2nd season as UAB's offensive coordinator just finished- made it to a bowl game.....and got pummelled.), Madden, firing up Fallout New Vegas for some FPS/RP joy, Crysis 3. Determined to bang a few of these out as I have games I still havent even tried yet.
On PC, total Civilization addict and recently started playing Team Fortress 2 again. Forgot how fun that game is.

From I have read this is not the case with Mad Max. It has been in the creation for a long time, and they actually have pushed back the release a couple times to make the product what they want. I hear the visuals are supposed to be insane, and the way you can make your car is everything I am really excited about it.

Yes the car building aspect is interesting. From my reading, I guess everything will be destructible too (wouldn't have it any other way for Mad Maxx.)
I currently have a PS3 & PS4 but whenever the mood strikes me I just may have to pop NCAA 14 back into my PS3 and give it a play. It really is too bad there's no NCAA 15 game for the next gen systems, that would be an instant buy for most people I know. Last time I played NCAA I remember I had so much fun with how the recruiting was setup. I basically got to play as Urban Meyer putting together a team of players for a power runs scheme. Always thought it was pretty neat how you actually had to put the work and effort into recruiting players if you wanted good ones. Also doubly awesome when you found diamonds in the rough!
I've only played about 30 minutes of Bloodborne so far, unfortunately. MLB The Show has consumed the little gaming time I've had over the past couple of weeks. I haven't been able to find the time to dedicate to putting in serious hours to a game like Bloodborne yet. From my very short amount of time with it, I can tell you I can already tell it's going to be a tough game which will test my patience (in a good way).
I remember getting the first Mortal Kombat on the Genesis and being amazed by how great it looked and the brutality. I instantly fell in love with it and have bought all of them since.
Yeah LOTF was difficult. I remember getting really far then dying and not having a good save point. Incredibly frustrating at times.
I remember my buddy and I bought all the books/guides and spending hours trying to do all the fatalities, animalities and etc. I think mortal combat online would be sweet.
Brutalities are finally back, it's about time. Mortal Kombat online, like an MMORPG set in the MK world/realm? That would be pretty cool. If you just mean fighting online against other players, though, that is in.
Yes, just fighting others online. Like I said, last Mortal Combat game I played was the days of the Sega Genesis and there was no multi-player then, lol. I feel very old right now.
So after two seasons as UMass's Defensive Coordinator.. I was just ready to move on.. Tired of trying to carry that crappy offense.. With my Top 10 (18 pts/game) scoring defense..
So during the coaching carousel I was paying attention to what good teams DCs got hired away..
Oh look UCLA needs a new DC, that'd be fun..
Wait.. What's this.. Greg Mattinson is retiring? Michigan is offering me the job?!?!?!
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?
So whats the news on Mortal Kombat? Im debating getting it. Some games from the past you just cant recreate and I dont want to be upset and let down, especially for 60 bucks!

I think I'll wait two weeks or so and see what the price becomes for an used copy on Ebay. I YouTubed a video yday that showed all the fatalities, so, it's gotten me intrigued to say the least.
When did Scorpion get swords? He was my favorite back in the day. GET OVER HERE!
I got to play MK for about an hour last night, it was a ton of fun. The only issue I have with these types of fighting games is that there isn't a ton of replay value like with sports games. That seems to be the case with this one as well. There's a story mode, but it can be beaten after a few hours. After that, it's pretty much just one-on-one. Online helps because you can play against humans instead of the CPU all the time, but it still becomes the same thing after a while.
Scorpion has had swords for a while now. I think it was around the 5th iteration that they started giving characters weapons to use.

Yeah can't remember the last one I played, I was so incredibly young.
...
Well, I'm having extreme, brutal and hardcore nerd'gasms over this Star Wars Battlefront. I remember playing this with my buds for hours upon hours taking turns and etc. I didn't even know about this until a dude at work came up to me and mentioned it.
This has got to be the biggest game for me personally and it will no doubt be a pre-order. It may be a schedule a vaca day on release day in November type ordeal for me. Can't remember the last time I was *this* pumped for a video game. Yeah, I seriously can't remember.

The only problem with that Battlefront game is that it's under the umbrella of EA. It just seems like the kiss of death for any game. They've messed up so many other good franchises, that I'm REALLY hesitant to spend money on it when I've been burned several times in the past by them.
It looks really awesome ... but so did Mass Effect 3, Sim City 5, Spore, etc, etc, etc ...
