Tribe beat the White Sox 4-2 today
GREAT defensive play by Ramirez to save the game in the 9th
Carlos Carrasco might not miss a start even though he got hit in the face last night by a batted ball.

Bad news:

We improved to 3-5. Ugh.
KC keeps on winning
We can't beat the Tigers

I know it's early, but you know the old saying...

"You can't win the division in April, but you can surely lose it."

With the Royals at 8-0 and the Tigers at 7-1, if we continue to struggle, we could find ourselves 7-10 games back in the next week. Again, still early, but those teams probably won't slow down much. We need to keep pace.

I'm not thinking about jumping from my balcony right now, but I'm not 100% confident either.

Kluber has pitched incredibly well this year, and thus far, has nothing to show for it.

It will be nice to get some of our injured guys back, and hopefully get this offense going. Walters showed real power last year, and he should start rehab in a few days. Swisher is reportedly right behind him. Between those 2 and Gomes, we have 40 HR last year sitting on the DL. We definitely need that jolt to get things going.

I turned the game off after the 8th inning last night because I figured we won. We had only given up 4 hits to that point and had a 3-run lead...and it was a cold and windy night. Guaranteed win baby.

I'd have yanked "our closer" after the first two hits and being all over the place with his pitches,why didn't Terry Francona not have some up in hurry up ready mode in pen? And that misjudge fly by Avilles in CF,an inf defensive specialist playing most important OF position with game on the line,you put your best OF starter there in that situation,he's rested 8 innings to that point of game. We need a hitting instructor who is not geared to being passive taking deep ball/strike count,just swinging for fense instead of going with pitch filling the sacks and what happened to the bunt/surprise bunt to move runners? Seems as if this team is playing like they are only playing for fear of losing their own jobs,looking over shoulder and let other player player teammate pick up slack for him and me while me is in cruise/fear mode. Hey get out there and play spoilers,play fundamental loose not looking over shoulder fear BB,because KC,Motown and Chisox have more to lose.

They started off really badly last year too, and it cost them the playoffs. They simply cannot dig themselves holes that become too big to climb out of. I don't think that they are there yet, but they are really close.

For some reason, I was a bit hopeful about Cleveland sports about 3 months ago. The Browns were 7-9 and coming up with two first rounders, the Cavs were playing well and had a clear path to the Finals, and the Tribe was going to win the division. Now, we're a few hours away from hearing the Browns traded both first rounders for a system QB, Kevin gets hurt and our title chances drop to almost nothing, and the Indians are the 2nd worst team in the AL. Awesome.

Getting Kluber going would be a huge start towards getting this thing turned around. Hopefully this is step in that direction.

The pitching, outside of the bullpen, really isn't the problem. The issue is the lack of offensive; we all knew about the offense, yet the Dolans blew their money on two washed up players. The other is the bullpen regressing.

We have little room for error. We're a .500 team, at best, this season.

Kluber, Carrasco. Salazar, and Bauer are a really solid starting four. If the Indians can get any kind of timely hitting, they should contend for a wild card. Will they? Hell if I know ...

Indians just need to keep winning, they dug themselves a hole but the baseball season goes on forever and they still have time to make it interesting... Just can't have any real bad spells or losing streaks...
