The Connecticut DMV has started a Drive Only program for undocumented individuals who are 16 and older and cannot establish their legal presence in the United States or may not have a Social Security number. The process involves applying for a learner's permit that can then lead to a drive-only license. Learner's permits are now required of all new license applicants regardless of age. The Drive Only license program is authorized under Public Act 2013-89.

You have to register, it doesn't say you have to have a voters card, they just put a check by your name once you've voted and shown your water bill or other utility bill. Here's the link to what I read.

My opinion on illegals has been a work in progress over the years.

I thought we should close the border and force them to come in legally but the Nation does not have the will to do that so I have adjusted my opinion to if we are gonna let them in anyway, we are best to make them
part of the system than forcing them underground.

I will also say the Hispanic community is an asset to America as they are some of the hardest working, family oriented people I have seen.

They are already 17 percent of our Population and will probably be around 50 percent over the next 20 years. We must work with them to make America even greater.

First, I agree about closing the border but it ain't happening. Nobody in Government will push the issue and mean it.
So we are stuck with the situation. They will continue to come in waves. I want to know who they are and where they are by bringing them into the system with the paperwork.
When we catch the criminals coming in and arrest and deport them, they are back in the next day.
Most of the illegals are Hispanics and are Christians so they will join us in faith and make us stronger. I think English should be our language. I say it is ok to allow the newcomers some time to learn our language but they gotta learn it!

I know many Hispanic people and I gotta tell you, I have never seen such a hard working group in my life. They will do any job and they won't complain. They are all yes sir and no sir, even if they don't have a clue what you are saying. They show up on time and many of them walk everywhere because they can't afford cars. I am really impressed with them as you can tell. They will be good for the future of America. An asset!

As far as the Muslims you talked about being against America, well, if they don't like the place maybe when Mexico is finally empty, we can send them there.

That link stated you can't use the license to vote. However you only need to have proof of identification the first time you vote and then you only need to have a copy of your water bill or other utility bill as this proof of ID.

IMO, there is no justifiable cause to, if you're heartset on entering another country, then why not do it like the right way?

I know that unless a large, endless structure was built - we cannot monitor every aspect/location on the border at every moment - it would be costly, but SURELY there are solutions out there we can come to that can help trigger and monitor the border jumpers. It's just too easy because there are so many ways for them to enter the country. And yes, many we deport are back in route the next day, there has to be something we could do (without flooding our jails) to prevent this. I don't know.

I would agree. My buddy hit an Asian female on accident, she was okay but the cop that was there, and my brother, could not understand a word she was saying. Must learn the native language, even in just for the case of an emergency of some sort.

I don't know about hte "future" part, but I cannot deny you one bit their work ethic. By God they are some of the most consistently friendly people too!!!!!!!!! Most hispanics i've been around were an upmost pleasure to be in their company. Again, no denying those pieces.

You seem to be having difficulty separating illegals from hispanics.

Not at all. Just look to the future and you will see they are all gonna be citizens thanks to our government. Then consider that the ones already here have more kids than the other Races in America. The handwriting is on the wall.

But yes, it seems a bit of a loose idea that having a documented drivers license for "undocumented" workers is a little weird. I believe it is a back door to make them documented adn get their vote

It is weird but somebody is finally documenting who is here. Why can't this Country just do things straight forward instead of weird? Wish I knew.
