http://kentuckysportsradio.com/main/espn-reporter-britt-mchenrys-day-is-worse-than-yours/I used to really like her as an up and coming reporter ... and always followed her because she's attractive But after seeing this today I'm disheartened ... and disgusted. Her truly colors showed. Sorry I can't post a video

dang.......that was messed up. That was seriously uncalled for.

Another truly nasty individual who let her "fame" go to her head. With all of the social media and her appearances on TV, she obviously over-values her self worth. I wonder if she is responding to all of the nasty tweets directed toward her. Social media gives people an inflated delusion of grandeur.....

Wow. Classy.

Hope she gets fire immediately. I've never understood people like this in life. It doesn't matter how bad a day you're having, you never take it out on other people. If you do you then you have a serious attitude problem and need help.

I happened to read this article on a website that had comments at the bottom by random readers. One of the comments was from someone who claimed they had dealt with the same towing company, and that the specific towing company was committing unlawful seizures of vehicles. And of course, the only way to get your vehicle back is to pay. You will never see that money again.
At first the comment made me think that this is why there are two sides to every story.
However, her attacks were of such a personal nature that they spoke to who she is at her core. Let's say this company was acting in an illegal fashion. She would have every right to be upset. To cause a scene. To maybe spit out some cuss words. To completely and utterly go ballistic. But not of such a personal nature, IMO. There's a way to go about things, and that really crossed some serious lines.
"I'm better than you because I'm on TV and I'm pretty." Well, she can likely add fired to her list of accolades.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Kinda what I was trying to get at... She took her position as a TV analyst to be better than a person trying to do their job. Rich or poor, "Important" or not important... All of these people put their pants on the same way I do, one leg at a time.....

If this gal is so smart with her college degrees, why did she keep going off after she was told she was being recorded?
Score 1 for babydoll, the fat, toothless college dropout.

and clearly her college degree didn't allow her to properly follow directions of the signs that said "YOU WILL BE TOWED"

Yep, ESPN suspended her for a week. She's issued the usual "celebrity" apology no doubt crafted by a PR / agent type.

I'm usually pretty lenient with stuff like this because I don't like to get caught up in media drama, twitter, etc ... but I can't stand when people belittle other people.
Arrogance and overt self-righteousness are turn offs.

The best part of her "apology"
Is that she doesn't actually apologize.

"I'm in the news sweetheart..."
After saying that, Britt should have been punched by the attendant AND everyone in the waiting room. You read questions, that someone else wrote, to athletes on camera...you're not "in the news".

If this gal is so smart with her college degrees, why couldn't she understand the words: 'NO PARKING?' there... now it's fixed.

I don't know about firing her, But, she should have to make a public apology to the parking attendant, that should humble her a little ... JMHO

I think she should be made to wear this meter maid outfit with a really short skirt and she arrests this guy for invalid parking and throws him in the back of her meter maid car and gets out some heated body oils and...
oh wait, I think this was a movie I saw once.
Never mind.

Whats sad about this whole thing is if a pro athlete would have done this ESPN would be airing it 24/7. Yes, they would. But you can also see why they aren't covering this at all. She's their employee. Airing this 24/7 would only make them look worse for hiring and retaining her. As for the comment above yours, she represents the number 1 sports channel in most homes. Her actions are making ESPN look poorly. I'm not going to suggest she should be fired, because it's up to them. Companies like ESPN, Coke, McDonalds, Microsoft and others go to great lengths to polish their image for the consumer. Having someone like this on your payroll doesn't help that image. Plus, Person X may be a "butthole" but they aren't getting taped doing it. She did (heck, the lady even warned her). I'd bet ESPN is using the week suspension to see how viewers feel about her outburst.

Before I discovered the cello... Before I found a place on a stage... before I did anything at all as an adult...
...I was a little kid, growing up in a small-ish town...
... with a Dad who was a fast-rising Police Officer. With a Mom who was the "daughter" of a high-profile Baptist minister (more on that at some later date). In a town where 'everybody knows your name'...
From the day that I reached the age of cognition, My Moms drilled this mantra into my head:
"Wherever you go, whatever you do.... someone sees you doing it- and they'll tell everybody they know what they saw."
She drilled this mantra so many times over the years, that she developed a "wordcode shortcut," by the time I was a high school student:
When my friends would drive by to pick me up to go to a school-sanctioned basketball/football game, the same scenario would play itself out, time and again:
Just as my hand hit the doorknob, I'd hear My Moms' voice calling out, from the living room:
"HEY! ... while you're out there, don't forget your last name."
BOOM.
That simple statement made me realize that I was not only my own person in the public sphere... but that I was a public representation of my entire family.
That's a heavy weight to carry, for a 15-year-old who's just trying to have some fun with his pals on some random night... but it's a good policy to follow at all times.
In the 1960's-70's, I lived in a tiny 'social bubble' that could bring down local repercussions upon my family in a heartbeat... within a matter of days. Today, that 'tiny bubble' is THE ENTIRE FREAKKIN' WORLD... which means that everything you say, post, type out-loud or share with someone on the 'net could become fodder for the next news cycle- to be broadcast to everyone.
____________
These days, character is on display for everyone to see.
I'm glad that was trained (early on) to know how to behave in public. Courtesy, regard, and manners are now second nature to me- and it wasn't because of anything I accomplished on my own...
It's because I was raised that way.
One of two realities are at play, in this embarrassingly ugly scene:
1. She was never taught the rules of etiquette 2. She was taught, but didn't care about how she treated others.
In either case, she's a loser.
IMHO, bad character is just 'karma waiting for payback.'
She's getting what she deserves. AND... she still had to pay to get her car back.
Laughing My Azz Off.

I don't think she should lose her job or anything. The whole world knowing what a horrible person she can be is probably punishment enough.
I really hate when people who work with directly the public, especially in the fast food/restaurant industry, get treated like that...
Every once in a while I hit up the Subway by my work for lunch. The 3 girls who work behind the counter have been there for at least 5 years. They work their rear ends off. They do a great job, but it seems like every other time I go in there, they get verbally abused by some entitled jackass. Women are the worst when it comes to this. They really love to talk down to people that can't fight back. It's awful.
I was with my wife in a local restaurant last month, and some jerk at the table next to us went off on his server because his onion rings were too hot. Maybe she could have said they were hot, or maybe she thought he'd use common sense that anything deep fried is going to be piping hot when served? My wife gave the girl a ten on the way out and told her not to worry about idiots like that.
Maybe it's because I was raised properly, but I just have never felt the need to talk to people like that.

+1 Vers & Sperg. I always thought if i was ruler of the world I would insist everyone had to work some type of service job. I am always amazed how poorly our CSRs get treated and assume I will do what the customer wants. Several times I have told our clients/customers they should not take their frustrations out on our CSRs and occasionally they have left my office and apologized.

I pretty much agree with everyone else-- you don't treat people like that. It's a crappy thing to do.
One nagging question I have though is, why was the tape edited? It seems like that if she was truly so out of line (and it certainly appears that she was), shouldn't the unaltered tape be able to stand on its own?

Probably because the attendant was saying some stupid, nasty crap of her own and it would be more newsworthy if the celeb looked like a complete witch, rather than the truth that they were both wrong.
