It was on the news tonight and when they said that the Eagles had signed Tebow the wife turned to me and said I don't understand why the Browns didn't sign him they have every other POS Qb in the league why not one more... Made me laugh then I realized she was right and I have been sad sense...... Dawg... you're gonna have to pull yourself out of this blue funk you're in... or change the 'Upbeat' in your sig to a purple font... Hurts to see you like this. If these jerks would throw me a bone once and a while I would be upbeat but the level of mismanagement I/we have witnessed over the past year has me downbeat. Why not Tebow he would fit right in.

What's a sophomore slump? Something the Browns have been able to avoid. The QB needs to have a solid rookie season in order to have a sophomore slump.

Espn has already stated they'll accept Tebow back once his "playing career" ends, so maybe middle of training camp he'll have his old job back!

Tebow is as good or a better QB than any we have. Then why did we sign Thad or Josh, and not even workout Tebow? Far as I know, Philly was the only team to work him out. Thad Lewis > Tim Tebow

Tebow can't complete 50% of his passes.

Stop hating....He signed a 1 yr deal. Tebow is as good or a better QB than any we have. You do realize any player who even gets on the field in training camp has to be under contract, right? You do realize that Tebow's contract has zero in guarantees right? You do realize this means they can cut him in training camp and it will cost them zero, right? Just sayin'.....
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

As far as actual NFL playbooks and NFL style offenses? Tim Tebow might make a solid tightend or fullback, but he's an awful quarterback. It's a long shot that Tebow even makes it out of camp.

Does Bridgewater have a sophomore slump? Can McCown pull off another 2013 season? The difference may not be as great as you think... Hmmm...let me re-exam my post that you took exception to. Thought so...no mention of a reference to any regime nor was it a response to one of your posts. You are reading something into my post that is not there...

Always seemed weird to me the hate for Tebow. Good man, not a jerk at all. This Valentine's Day, he organized proms all over the nation for people with disabilities. Dude builds hospitals in the Philippines. Won't give up on his dream, and why should he? He had a game for the ages in the playoffs. Career stats 17 TDs, 9 interceptions, just short of 1,000 yards, 12 TDs rushing and a 5.0 ypc. Why should HE think he sucks and get off the stage because people hate him?
People don't get angry at Matt Leinert when he tries to keep his career alive. They don't get mad at Tavaris Jackson. I think if you hate Tim Tebow it says something kind of awful about you.

I would take Tebow over any QB on our roster except for Johnny ... JMHO

Do you really believe that? Or is that just a reflection of your frustration of us winning just 7 games. An improvement on our previous 6 seasons but just not enough improvement???

Nope... Which current Brown's QB has more NFL playoff wins then Tebow? You loose Okay. Well played. I guess... So I guess with the logic you're apparently using that means Tim Tebow is just as good as Jay Cutler, Matt Ryan, Alex Smith, and Cam Newton? (all of whom only own 1 playoff win). Since Tebow DOES in fact have one playoff win I guess that makes him better than Andy Dalton, Matt Stafford, Carson Palmer, Nick Foles and Robert Griffin III. (No playoff wins among them). Right? The year he won a playoff game the Broncos won their division at 8-8, they built a shotgun, college style power-run offense for Tebow and they thrived on a good defense and a very weak schedule. I'll admit it was pretty great seeing Tebow beat Pittsburgh though. I don't dislike Tim Tebow. He's just a bad NFL quarterback. He couldn't win or keep backup jobs in New York or New England and he just spent two years out of the league. I'm glad he signed with Philadelphia and not Cleveland. Personally, I would be surprised if he makes the final roster, but knowing Chip's offense, I would say Tebow does have a shot.

Asked to respond to gossip that the team tried to trade passer Johnny Manziel to the Philadelphia Eagles, Farmer told reporters: "No, that's not true."

Is that all you got...so your assessment is that? you've got that signed sealed and delivered. You are totally convinced he is a 6.5 a game all he's going to give us QB....really can you get anymore depressing. Drink some smooth Cognac (getting into some fine Brandy now much cheaper ) and enjoy your fandom at least wait for the season to enfold then piss on us.
or is this anti climatic strategy - get that part out of the way now.

No other argument than that PerfectSpiral? I'm going to start a petition to make you the Browns general manager. Clearly you've got it all figured out

I'm not excited about Josh McCown.
I'm not excited about Johnny Manziel.
I'm not overly optimistic about our up coming season.
I am however very convinced that Tim Tebow would have nothing to offer this team at the quarterback position. Clearly there is a reason why he just spent two years out of the league. Probably the same reasons he couldn't win backup jobs in New York or New England.
To be an NFL quarterback you have to be able to call a play in the huddle, make pre-snap reads and adjustments, stand in the pocket, go through your progressions, and deliver an accurate throw. All this has to be done on a consistent basis. Tebow wasn't able to do any of this, at least not on a consistent basis.
I don't even know if Manziel can yet. That's TBD.

Sanchez: Eagles told me Tebow was a camp arm Sometimes it feels like Mark Sanchez is stuck in a perpetual quarterbacking nightmare. When he finally made his escape down I-95 to Philadelphia, only to be reunited with Tim Tebow once again, all we could do was lend a shoulder to cry on. Sanchez, though, isn't exactly taking this reunion lying down. On Friday night, he told reporters that the former Heisman Trophy winner was just a camp arm. "He's obviously a great guy, he works hard," Sanchez said, via CSN Philadelphia. "And we needed another guy to throw while Sam's (Bradford) still recovering. So that's the reason (for the signing), at least as explained to me. We're excited about the upcoming year and I think we have a great group." At first glance, the explanation Sanchez received seems reasonable enough, but let's actually put a few puzzle pieces together. If Chip Kelly needed someone specifically to throw to wide receivers, why would he have chosen arguably the least accurate quarterback available on the open market, even after working him out privately? If Kelly only needed a camp arm, why would he happen to bring in the one player who could capitalize on possible rule changes to the two-point conversion better than anyone else? Again, the explanation Sanchez got could be perfectly reasonable. But after going through this process once before, he has to know that there's always a variable when it comes to Tebow. Link

Does it matter you'll just twist it into the FO sucks. Someone actually liked that reply? Looks like two of you have already twisted this into "anyone who questions the FO in any way is completely irrational." Whatever........the author of that article actually made some good points as to why Tebow might be more than just a "camp arm." I can see how Tebow might fit some of what Kelly does on offense and I can certainly see how Tebow would be a real weapon on 2-pt conversions.

However, can any team list 3 QB's on their game day roster? Tebow would not be the #2 QB...
