Vegas has the over/under wins early line at 6 That is a slap in the face, because of the QB position.

So 6 wins wow thats 4 more then I thought we would get with what we got sign me up I'll take the under for $100 but McCown or JF have to be the starter well I will throw MM a bone here and include him but the line drops to 4 I want to be fair............

You guys all did the same belly aching this time last season... But you registered here on 12-16-14; how would you know that? Were you posting previously under a different "name"? Yes, my account got erased somehow when they redid the board. Actually this is my third user name, I had another one when these forums used to be on the cleveland browns website. But I mostly read, I don't post much.

We nearly beat the Colts with Hoyer chucking it to the Colts over and over. Not True dude not true at all Hoyer threw 2 picks in the game one of which Cameron admitted he ran the wrong route. This is what I mean by making stuff up. To be sure Hoyer played bad that game but your not telling the truth either. If Cameron runs the right route as bad as Hoyer played we would have won. It's one of those things that guys want to lay everything at Hoyers feet and NOT be totally honest in doing so. I think we all like the truth and not the slanted variety either. I hate having to say something but the truth is the truth, you may want to try it. Dude stop it already, last year you were claiming that Hoyer was intentionally throwing inaccurate balls so they wouldn't be picked off. Gordon ran the wrong routes, Cameron ran the wrong routes, you've twisted yourself into a pretzel with your zealous defense of Hoyer. He was a backup before he got here, he was a backup here, he will be a backup in Houston as well. He never was and never will be a starting QB in the NFL, he's gone let it go and move on.

I have no problem with someone saying Hoyer imploded or Hoyer's mechanics broke down but some of the stuff people say are lies. 7-4 with Hoyer last year 10-6 as a starter for the Browns and we let that walk out for a 35 year old QB that was 1-10 last year. In my book that makes Hoyer the better choice unless of course the plan is to lose. I guess your all in for that. There is no escaping Hoyer's problems to close the year just like there is no escaping his record -vs- that of McCown you choose which one you think is a better fit I already have. But this has been gone over enough its time to move along but don't try to tell me we are in a better place now without Hoyer then we were with him I'm not buying what your stepping in.

This is were you assume too much, were does this certainty that McCown will be the starter this year come from? The draft hasn't occured yet, we don't know what will become of Manziel, other moves can still be made. I agree IF McCown is the starter, yea I will be very much deflated. But I don't believe he was brought here to start.

This is were you assume too much, were does this certainty that McCown will be the starter this year come from? I already have that covered as well the draft won't yield a QB NFL ready so that is out, JF if you can believe your eyes won't be ready this year either and short of the Browns getting Bradford and him staying healthy (which I have been praying they get him) McCown is the guy who will be starting for the Browns you ASSume we will get someone and I would bet we do too, but it won't be starter quality and that leave McCown and he is no Hoyer. So to sum up here, with Hoyer we have a shot without Hoyer we have well nothing bad choice by the FO. It's the kind of decision that makes me think the season is being tanked its so bad.

For all the positive posters: Who is our QB again? The third stringer is Connor Shaw. The backup is Thaddeus Lewis, who may achieve the most wins. The starter is one of, Josh McCown, Johnny Manziel, or Someone picked up in this draft. By someone picked up in this draft I mean either, Jameis Winston; Marcus Mariota; Bryce Petty; Garret Grayson; Brett Hundley; Sean Mannion; or someone I haven't heard of yet.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

@ JETS New York has improved their defense significantly, but if we can't win because of our QB situation, then they can't win even more.. Winnable
TITANS Tennessee isn't good. If they get Mariota, they still won't be that good. If they trade for Rivers, they will be ok.. Winnable
RAIDERS Oakland is much improved over the last few years, if they can get Carr some weapons they'll be tough, but are also still "The Raiders" Winnable
@ CHARGERS San Diego is tough at home, though they do tend to start slow. If they get rid of Rivers, then it's a lot easier.. Tough, but Winnable
@ RAVENS I think we're going to split with the division this year, at a minimum. Baltimore will be interesting to see how they replace Ngata and Torrey Smith. Tough, but Winnable
BRONCOS Which Manning shows up? TJ Ward should be psyched up, which would likely lead to a few Personal Foul calls.. Tough
@ RAMS By Week 7 St Louis will have figured out what they have in Nick Foles. They need weapons on offense. Winnable
CARDINALS Arizona is another team with QB problems. Solid overall. Winnable
@ BENGALS (TNF) Andy Dalton. Prime Time. Winnable
@ STEELERS I'm going to be interested in watching Pittsburgh's Defense Post-LeBeau. Tough
BYE WEEK Week 4 Bye last season, Week 11 this year.. A later Bye could be very helpful.
RAVENS (MNF) Monday Night Football in Cleveland? I'm going.. So they'll probably lose.. Tough
BENGALS Win in Cincy. Lose at Home. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.. Tough
49ERS San Francisco had a worse offseason than we did in my opinion.. Talented offense, but they've lost a lot of key pieces.. What's a Tomsula? Tough, but Winnable
@ SEAHAWKS One of a few games that I'd most likely assume they won't win. They are practically impossible to beat at home.. Tough
@ CHIEFS Improve the run defense. Stop Jamal Charles. Stop Kansas City's Offense. Winnable
STEELERS Pittsburgh to end the season at home has never ended well.. Hopefully this will be the exception that ends the rule.. Tough

I have no clue what I was thinking or saying...lol
I know I've been accused of being a Homer but when the shoe fits.
Ohhhh...I get it. I actually was being sarcastic cause there were many posts before yours about the QB debate. Yours was about the Schedule and I was trying to be funny. But I still like the Homer moment...it was funny. My attempt of humor just did an over the head result. Including me until I went back to figure out why I would say that...lol

I chalked it up to you were drinking the good wine at that moment. Sadly I got a problem now breaking down Sodium and good Red Wine has Sodium Sulfates in them.
Now I'm relegated to Cognac...actually I'm getting into good Brandy which I really enjoy but 1 third of the Price Next up a Paul Mason VSOP Brandy...at a bargain price. Been surprised at the quality of some of these you would not expect.
oh hope JM isn't reading these...

Post free agency & post draft predictions. Our defensive line is MUCH stronger compared to last year. (Starks, Cooper and Shelton added). Our pass rush on paper should be better with Armonty Bryant coming back healthy, Barkevious Mingo being healthy and the addition of Nate Orchard in the 2nd round. Our secondary added Tramon Williams and will have K'Williams and Justin Gilbert in their second year. I would say the secondary SHOULD be as good or better. The offensive line gets Alex Mack back, and added Cameron Erving to hopefully play RG or RT. So at least on paper, the offensive line is stronger. We lost Miles Austin but added Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline. The receiver position still needs some help, but I think Bowe, Hawkins, Gabriel and Hartline are capable if the running game is working. We also added Duke Johnson who can be a weapon in the return game and the passing game. Rob Housler too.... With the exception of quarterback and tightend this team is STRONGER than it was last year. I'm also a firm believer that if our running game is working and the defense is as good as it should be, we'll be able to get production out of either McCown or Manziel. @Jets - Winnable. Titans - Winnable. Raiders - Winnable. @Chargers - I'm calling this an auto-loss. Beating Rivers out west will be tough unless we're REALLY clicking. @Ravens - Winnable. I'm predicting we split with the Ravens. Broncos - Very tough - If Manning is healthy and that offense is clicking I don't see us outscoring them. @Rams - Winnable. (Their defense is great, their offense isn't). Cardinals - Winnable. (See Rams). @Bengals - Winnable. We split with Cincinnati. @Steelers - I'm calling this an auto-loss. I do think we split with Pittsburgh though. We just never beat them on the road. Ravens - Winnable. (At home on MNF after a bye week). Bengals - Winnable. 49ers - Winnable. Their defense has taken some MAJOR hits, and Kaepernick isn't unbeatable, in fact, he's just kind of average. @Seahawks - I'm calling this an auto-loss. @Chiefs - Winnable. Stop the run, stop their offense. Steelers - Winnable. I think we go 3-3 in the division even though I think we have just as much talent, if not more so than all three teams. @San Diego, Denver, @Pittsburgh and @Seattle are the only four games I'm calling automatic losses. The rest of the schedule has some winnable games. I think an 8-8 record is possible with a strong running game and strong defense.

Realistically, I'm predicting 4-5 wins. Titans, Raiders, Steelers, Bengals, and maybe the Jets and Chargers. A lot will be riding on the defense and a strong running game, however, this has to be the toughest schedule in the NFL.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I also feel that 8 & 8 is realistic.
I think the O will be better; - QB is a push - I like Flip & what he brings. Young, bright, innovative & flexible. The X factor will be, the guys will WANT to play for him. I'm not sure if that was the case with Shanny. Punk! - H back, a C Clay type. I think it's got M Johnson written all over it. VG blocker, with good hands. - Duke Johnson, excellent pick up. He will not only be a running threat, but add a whole new page to the O with his receiving ability. - The right side of the line will change. One for sure, maybe two. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I hope it works out. - With Hartline, Hawk & Gabriel, we're the same as last yr. Again, the X factor is Bowe. Look for a surprise addition before it's all said & done. It might come from within or a possible trade for one of our D line. - T End, I'm good with Housler. He's got good hands & speed, probably a bit of a drop off from Cameron, but if he can stay on his feet after the catch, BONUS. - Might surprise. Bibbs, Browning, Lundy, Mayle & Rodney Smith.
I'll stop here, you can probably predict what I would highlight on D.
Still need a Quach ( Manziel Miracle ? ), but we're moving in the right direction.

I could see us winning 2 division games at home, Tennessee, Oakland, San Francisco, and maybe Arizona
5-6 wins
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

5-6 wins I could see us winning more division games. I think we're trending up, and the rest of the afc north is trending down, in general. Of course, we still have the QB question. I could see us sweeping Cinci (Andy Dalton is bad) and splitting with the other two. I also think the Denver game could be interesting. They lost some pieces and Manning looked..."human" last year. Their "impact" draft pick was at a position they were already stacked (Ray<Von Miller/DeMarcus Ware). The replacement for Julius Thomas (Heuerman) was lost for the year. Knighton's gone which could be huge for our run game. Plus, they traded away their center for Ray. I see 8-8 as possible with a lot of volatility both ways depending on QB play and injuries.

You're welcome. The good thing about this schedule.... http://printableteamschedules.com/images/nfl/clevelandbrownsschedule.pdf...is there is space on it made specifically so you can write in all our losses and also the score of the game, so you can remember exactly how badly we got beaten by! (Hey-now!)
