This is fun. Okay. I'll play.
Here is my DREAM scenario for the Browns along with the mock draft.
(while also staying in the reasonable realm of possibility)
Trade the #12 overall pick to Carolina for the #25 overall pick and in the process we acquire their 3rd & 5th round pick, and their 1st round pick next year.
Trade the #19 overall pick to Green Bay for the #30 overall pick and in the process we acquire their 2nd round pick this year and their 1st round pick next year.
I don't know the exact values of what each pick is worth, but that all seems fairly reasonable as far as returns go. This gives us THREE 1st round picks next year in 2016 along with the four compensatory picks we'll be getting from the NFL. This scenario sets us up to have an absolutely killer 2016 draft.
(Dream scenario, so please don't grill me).
1st Round (#25) - Arik Armstead DE/Oregon 1st Round (#30) - Eddie Goldman DT/Florida State 2nd Round (#43) - Jaelen Strong WR/Arizona State 2nd Round (Packers) - Trey Flowers OLB/Arkansas 3rd Round - Bryce Petty QB/Baylor 3rd Round (Panthers) - Clive Walford TE/Miami 4th Round - Stefon Diggs KR/Maryland 4th Round - Anthony Harris S/Virginia 5th Round - Jaleston Fowler FB/Alabama 5th Round - (Panthers) - Mitch Morse C/Missouri
Trade away our 6th & 7th round pick(s) for a 5th rounder next year.
In a scenario like this, we address virtually every need we have and we set ourselves up to have at least 14 or 15 picks in 2016....

Running the generator recently I have been getting my best results following a very similar strategy. I've been trading down in the 1st with the #12 and picking up a 2nd & 3rd. Then trading either the new 1st or the #19 for a very high 2nd, 3rd & 4th. I end up with 1-1st then 3 in each of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds (10 picks in 4 rds.) Then I can use the 5-7th rounds to make minor moves up in the 3-4th rounds. I like the idea of picking up at least 1 first rounder in 2016. 2 would be killer.

I checked out drafttek.com and like some of their picks, 12 & 19 are good. Then I summitted this for fun: As a Browns fan since Otto was the QB I must disagree with your 2nd round pick. The Browns do not need an ILB, especially with Tomlinson and Marpet still on the board. In round 4 another non critical pick at 111, Williams ROT. Not when Grayson, QB is still on board. In round 6 at pick 189, Gunter CB, I question the need for another CB when Vigil ILB and Hill WRF are still available or Boyle TE if avail. At pick 202 we would not need Mannion (see previous pick 111) allowing us to take a SS or BPA. Round 7, pick 229, again no need for another RB possibly grab a FB.

Take Shelton or Brown at number 12 and trade Philly number 19 for Bradford. Draft Agholor in the 2nd. We would have our run stuffer, a QB finally, and a decent wideout for him to throw to.

So "no" is your solution? Get lost. "No." Was the answer to the question you asked. Just because you have a problem, doesn't mean you should compound it by throwing crap at it and hoping it fixes it.. If you were flying in an airplane, and the pilot came over and said "The wing is pretty damaged, but we have some duct tape, so we're just going to use that and take off.." Sam Bradford is duct tape, expensive duct tape at that.. I wouldn't trade for Mariota, or Bradford.. I'd be open to acquiring Rivers, but I don't think they are interested in sending him here.. Beyond that, you roll with what you have, and build more of the team up around who you have now.. Regardless of your ridiculous view of the team, it isn't terrible, or talentless, it isn't going 2-14.. We have talent. We need a QB. There are no good options. Move on. Or "Get lost" as you so eloquently put it..

I respect your opinion on the QB position ThatGuy...Thanks for letting me know your ideas on this QB mess. I still think Bradford could flourish behind our offensive line with a more run heavy offensive strategy. Sorry about my impatience with the get lost comment...The nurses are calling me to get back in my psychiatric cell and get offline...

I think duct tape was invented to fix holes in airplane wings. And WD-40 was invented to prevent rust and corrosion on the wings. But no, duct tape was invented for the heating system ventilation. History 101 ha ha ha, gots to know the GOOD stuff and both WD-40 and duct tape certainly quality for that category! Those two things combined and yeah, call it a DAY!

I go after Mariota. If I can't get him with 12/19, I am looking at 2016 and doing what I can to stay in position for that draft. Trade down/out, whatever. QB is priority #1.

One draft is the same as the next...our picks don't produce. We must have an OLineman, WR and DB that can help. A return to the old uniforms would be nice...won't help but would sure look better and a new owner.

Round 1 Pick 12: Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson Round 1 Pick 19: Arik Armstead, DT/DE, Oregon
I would also be happy with Shelton and Armstead. Then go WR/OL in rounds 2-3.
Regardless top 4 picks by the Browns should be pass rusher, WR, DL and OL. Value picks are important too. A QB would be a plus but I wouldn't reach or overspend for any of the QBs in this draft

We're gonna blow it with whoever we take anyway. unfortunately I'm in the same boat. after last season's meltdown at the end of the year and our big time busts with Gilbert and JFF (and all of the off the field stuff), I have zero excitement for Thursday. About 6 months ago my interest in the Browns was SKY HIGH ... those have crashed back down to the worst levels I've had since 99
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Dang Arch, there you go again. And completely unprovoked. Isn't that what you did to ThatGuy? You weren't in the chain and your comment was unprovoked. Yeah, and I may continue to do it, unprovoked. I pointed that out to Arch because just a couple of days ago he specifically said he doesn't do such things. I pointed that out to That Guy because he felt superior enough to someone else to call their opinion "stupid". I just used his exact phrase to turn it around on him. He took it well and responded in a humorous manner. Hopefully that means he got my point. You can say you don't agree, but ya doesn't have to call someone else stupid. You may not have missed me but I haven't posted much at all for a long, long time. Some of the things mentioned by other posters in the past day or so about this place going to hell is the reason for that. Personal attacks, ganging up, borderline name calling... it gets old as hell if ya get on here to read football talk. Just the other day I saw the Manziel thread had almost 20 new replies since I last saw that thread. I thought, oh great, must be some news. What I found was that none of those new posts mentioned anything at all about Manziel. I was just a long pissing match. I've got some extra time on my hands right now. I'd like to post about our team. Dang, I don't care how stupid I think someone's opinion is, they don't need to be told that. There's something to be learned from every football post regardless how seemingly absurd. Instead, how about proposing a different angle or opinion to make the person think. But all this back & forth regarding personalities is crap. I'm thinking maybe I'll point that stuff out whenever I feel like it. As you just did with me. Same thing. You weren't involved in the conversation at all. Yet you felt a compelling urge to point out my shortcoming. I don't mind, really. Because I'm guessing you tire of the junk every bit as much as I do.

Ddub, it's all about personal responsibility and accountability. Yes, I responded to you unprovoked. I felt a compelling urge to do so. You called me on it, and I can't argue that you are wrong. I will own that. Just like you owned it.
Some people respond with humor, like ThatGuy did. He was owning it through humor. Everyone moves on without further incident.
It's ok to get bent sideways once in a while as long as the person recognizes they've gone off track and try to get back on track. At the end of the day, we are not perfect.
But people can't correct behaviors if they can't own it and admit that they were wrong. Think about that a second. We have one poster on here who always acts up and never takes responsibility for his actions. Always playing the victim. Someone with that menatlity will never get it because they are never wrong. I know he's a pal of yours, but just think about that for a second. Everyone on here at one point or another has owned up to their behavior except one person. And I'm not talking about owning up to a mistake on a football post. I'm talking about looking in the mirror. And when you respond to a poster that "you guys suck", you aren't just responding to that poster. "Guys" opens the door to everyone. When someone enters that door, now it's ganging up? You're smarter than that ddub. You can't get better until you realize that everyone has a blame in it. And you have to own your part.
My last comments on this. I know the board is tired of it.

Two offensive linemen in the first round? Interesting... Considering we trot out 2-3 QB's every year due to injuries, points a nasty finger at our Oline protection. We have zero chance if we can't protect the QB's we have. Or we could just tank the 2015 season for that elusive QB in 2016. I like my option better.

I want to buy Protest shirts!
I want to go back in time!
I can't imagine a worse case scenario within reason than to use both first round picks on Shelton and Erving.
ZERO! Team improvement.
Philadelphia took Agolhor immediately after you Browns should have.
Shelton was a bad move, but if you took Agolhor staring you in the face, who kind of reminds me of a Michael Jackson of days of old, OK at least you could say you had that in mind.
But if pick1 is bad news, pick 2 is Exponentialy bad news. Like compound interest in banking you became anti millionaires in the win loss fortune game in one round!
And you did it, in successive years.
And for THAT, I say, my level of hurt, is beyond what I can write.
Stephone Anthony did not go too early, he's a really likeable linebacker, one of maybe 4,5, or 6 available.
It would be one thing, if the Browns had No More Picks in the Entire 7 rounds, that is the ONLY WAY I could stomach this bull.
And for the Record, I don't think Sammie Coates, or Devin Smith could provide you the upside that you gave up with Agholor and Perriman still on the board.
3 guys I'd hate to see the Browns get in this draft. FARMER FOUND TWO OF THEM, and then there's Arie Kouandjo, OL, Alabama, so I guess they'll take him.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

No offense bro but you are completely wrong. We improved 2 things that killed us more than anything else last year. We couldnt stop the run and we add the best run stuffer in the draft to fill the nose. Our OL depth was horrendous and when Mack went down so did our abilityto run the ball. Now we added someone that will likely push Grecco or Schwartz to the bench and we have a legit starting caliber player coming off the bench.
I think we improved tremendously.
