So I was watching this Lead Belly documentary the other day, and they had an interview with Valerie June....and once I laid eyes on her, I knew that I needed to seek out her music.....And it was so, so, sooo sad that I didn't know about her; but now I do, so naturally, things are much, much better....

Man... I really like this young lady!

She's got a sort of Billie Holiday quality in her voice, and her style is so eclectic/mash-up, it defies categorization. I find that very cool, because you never know what the next song is going to sound like. I love versatility and unpredictability.

hey.... she's pretty easy on the eyes, too... and that ain't never a bad thang.....
