Yes, EA is the worst publishing company, ever. Can't and won't even argue that!

Mass Effect 3 was badas$ though I thought. Great gaming series. Wish I could've played the first one.

I remember when this came out..

And everyone was freaking out..

And my response was.. "Yeah, but what's the game about? How's the gameplay?"

And everyone's reply was "I don't know but it looks awesome!"

Mass Effect 3 was 2/3rds a good game. The Krogan story line was amazing. The Quarian story arc was pretty good two. Everything after that was putrid. It took Bioware a month and a half to ret-con the ending into something halfway understandable through a (thankfully) free DLC. But everything bad about MC3 had EA's fingerprints all over it.

It was obvious the ending was horribly rushed to get the game out the door for EA. Like I said, Bioware worked overtime for a months just to get the ending to make sense. Most of the "filler" missions were just single-player versions of the multi-player maps. The multi-player part wasn't actually that bad, but you could tell it was a deliberate money grab with the card packs you had to buy to get anything decent. The fact that you basically HAD to play multi-player just to get a decent score for the single-player storyline made it that much more annoying. Then there was the Day One DLC, which was kind of a big eff-you as well. "We'll give you a partial game experience for $60, but if you want the full version, that's $20 more".

On top of that, there's a video out there of all the promises Bioware had made about ME3 that were completely broken with the turd of the ending they ended up delivering. Things like revealing Tali's face (They ended up badly photoshopping a Shutterfly stock image), some sort of epic ending battle, (You got to shoot a Marauder before waking into the end sequence), a promise that the decisions you made in previous games would have HUGE rewards or consequences in ME3 (maybe 100 extra war resources, whoopee doo), and that they would make a solid resolution to defeating the reapers ... no push a magic button and they'd go away (Oops).

Like I said, I don't entirely blame Bioware for the game. You could tell it was rushed about a year too early because EA wanted the game OUT for purchase and they wanted to push people to buy multiplayer and DLC things.

Well, thankfully I didn't get the game and experienced the outrage due to the ending. When I first got my hands on it, the DLC was already out. Thankfully yea, it was free. Companies are getting too carried away with DLC content and charging. Especially Assassin's Creed, I never buy them. If it comes when I buy it, then I'll use it, otherwise I feel I already paid for the game and shouldn't have to pay more to get all outta it.

Bioware was not to blame, as you've already said. I have no problems when a company pushes a release date but many problems when they rush it out to production.

Just picked up The Order 1886 on eBay for half retail price. Figure I'll beat it, list it on Craigslist or even back on eBay and get 25 outta it so I'll play it for five bucks. I can live with that. Everyone is saying the graphics are killer but the total gameplay time is low so thankfully I will play it for 30 instead of 60 lol!

Perfect day yday to have The Order be delivered, it's my free evening day! No work out, no nothing but rest and relax!

Got about three hours into it, on level setting Hard it really is pretty easy. It's fun, the graphics are good (though figured they'd be better) and the storyline thus far is good.

It's moving quickly though, I already feel (even have taken the time to explore and etc) that another game session like yday and it's beaten. To be expected though via the review.

Anybody see the new trailer for COD Black Ops III?

I wanted a simple COD:BLOPS2 rebuild, maybe even to go back in time a bit, but I think we're getting "COD:Advanced Warfare II". The trailer clearly has soldiers jumping 15 or 20 feet high, just like AW had, though maybe not as high. I really didn't like all the jumping, sliding, & floating in COD:AW. I guess its the old gamer in me.

Oh well, it's a next-gen title anyway (PS4/XBox1/PC). I was thinking about getting into a golf game to keep me busy for the next 6 months or so.

Only looking forward to one game right now.
I only game on PC when I have the time.

So May 19 Witcher 3 The Wild hunt will be out for consoles and PC.

Awesome series in my opinion.

In 15 they get rid of the draft, and you have to fight for a roster spot as an UDFA.

Based on how much a teams needs or wants you, the better overall grade you have to get during your "tryout" (if they need you, you only need a C+, but if they dont, you have to get an A+ for example)

I never liked in the earlier ones how you got "drafted" by a team at a lottery pick, even though they also still got the real rookie they draft there.. seemed silly.. just like having your "rival" get drafted etc.

Its different. Gameplay is pretty much the same, you talk to the GM a lot, and your agent is super annoying..

I play 2k14 on 360 with updated rosters. Itll get me by till 16 comes out..

Plus im busy enough trying to build up Utah on NCAA.

JC: Today I'm gonna run over to Gamestop after getting my errands done and purchase Bayonetta 2 for the WiiU Pre-Owned. Game's only like 10 hours long, so I'll beat it and return it within a week for the full refund. Either that one or The Order.

Prob Bayonetta 2 though. I've wanted to play that one, reviews were pretty good for it too. Just a short game.......

I want to get Bloodborne and Witcher 3 soon, but I just don't think I have enough time for them right now. Bayonetta 2 sounds perfect.

The Order 1886 fits the mold of all the reviews. It's very short. Having said that, it's pretty fun and the length is really my only complaint. On Hard, I found it to be easy but I'm that way with most shooters.

Storyline and etc, all good. Sometimes the movie scenes were very long, too long. The ending, so-so.

Highly recommended if you have a weekend you're looking for something to do and you can find the game used for 25-30 bucks.

Finally really getting in to Dragon Age: Inquisition. I've started it several times since Christmas, but finally had some free time the last few weeks and have really got to sit down with it.

That said, the game is great. It is absolutely huge, and is almost overwhelming sometimes with the amount of things to do. The fighting can get a little repetitive, but if it does, I just switch between your party members and suddenly you are playing a completely different style.

There is also free DLC coming out this week, so it will add even more to the game. I am about 20 hours in and I'm still at the "beginning" of the story line for the most part.

I know exactly what you mean.

I got the game just after Christmas, and I've started it up a handful of times but I haven't been able to find time to consistently sit down and play. I'm probably 10 to 12 hours into the game, and the amount of things to do especially early on is beyond amazing (and frustrating). I appreciate that the game is a lot more like Origins as far as the game play goes. I'm pretty sure my main character is an elf (male, rouge class).

For those of you looking for some older Xbox 360 (or PS3) games that you might have missed...

Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite. All three games are a blast to play. Great story along with fun (and edgy) gameplay.

Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 were all fantastic as well. Mass Effect 1 plays out more like an RGP, while Mass Effect 2 does a good job balancing RGP and action, and then Mass Effect 3 is almost like an action movie. Mass Effect is a great game series if you like story driven games, the cut scenes and story makes them hard to put down once you've started.

Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are two more than I've beaten in the last couple of years. They're fun games if you like beat em' up but the level designs actually get really repetitive. For those of you who have played them, I'm referring to the part in each section or building where you have to swing around the room and silently take out a handful of guards without being detected to advance. It's fun the first few times, but by the 10th or 11th time (especially late in the game) it's frustrating.

I had Batman Arkham origins and played about 15% through and just couldn't keep going, felt way to much like the originals, which is fine if you love the originals, but I was burnt out.

Dragon Age Origins is a blast if you enjoy RPG's.

I made it about 45% through Assassins Creed: Black Flag. It's fun, it's like Grand Theft Auto except in the pirate world. The main mission gameplay was way too repetitive to keep my interest all the way through. All you're doing mission, after mission, is trying to sneak around bases without being detected. Still, if you like the games, you'll love this one. The pirating stuff is a blast.

Does anyone play any Of the recent Nascar games?

I have an itch to get one, wasn't sure which one of the last 3-4 years was the best one..

I'd love a career mode, work my way up the ranks kind of thing..

See, I loved Bioshock Infinite. And I liked Bioshock 1 a lot. Bioshock 2 was impossible for me to get into. I just didn't care for being one of those machines. Bioshock 1 and Bioshock Infinite both have decent stories and play very well though.

And the Mass Effect series is one of my favorite series ever.

Other Xbox360/PS3 games I liked.......... Uncharted 1-3, Last Of Us, Fallout 3, Fallout: Vegas (stand alone game), Diablo 3, Dishonored, Skyrim, Dragon Age 1&2, and Witcher 3.

I've started "The Order: 1886" instead of picking up Bayonetta 2 on WiiU. Decided against Bayonetta 2 because I just am not that into the Devil May Cry action style thing. The animation style didn't look like my thing either. Videos made the game look very arcade-ish.

So far I'm enjoying The Order. But I can tell it's gonna be very short. Best game visually I've ever played on any console though

AC4 just didn't do it for me. I put it away and went back and played Metro: Redux on my PS4. Much more enjoyable. I think I'm done with the Assassin's Creed games. I just don't like the fighting style in them.

I'm very much looking forward to purchasing Bloodborne and when Witcher 3 comes out. Those will be awesome.

And I like that people on here are starting to get into Dragon Age: Inquisition. I found that game awesome. By the end, I just wanted to beat the darn thing, but that's because I logged so many hours into the game. It's not as good as Skyrim was, but the game was pretty darn good. Definitely deserved the Game Of The Year that IGN gave it

Yep, before you know it, it's over. I'll give it to them, it was a fun game. Had there been more to it, it possibly could've been in the talks of one of the top games. The lack of gameplay (and I even explored everywhere) destroys it though.

I've noticed all of the Assassins Creed games follow the same exact formula and have the same layouts for the majority of there missions. If you love doing them, it's fun, but unless you're a hardcore fan it just gets repetitive and boring. Kind of like the Batman games, they look great, and I love batman, but the games are the exact same formula each time.

PeteyDangerous I'm a little surprised you couldn't get into Bioshock 2. The gameplay I found to be really enjoyable and the story was just as good as the first. (in my opinion).

The action was faster paced than the first, and their is a nice little twist at the end.

That's too bad, maybe I should have stuck with it. I just didn't like being a big robot. Bioshock is well done though. I do like the stories. Too late now though, there's just too many other games to play at this point, and not enough time.

Witcher 3 and Bloodborne.

I borrowed my buddy's Killzone Shadowfall to play the single player too.

That and I might pick up Splatoon for the WiiU. That game has huge amounts of potential. Unfortunately, there's no voice chat in the multiplayer. I get why Nintendo is doing it, but it would make the game a bigger success. I just hope it comes out polished, like most Nintendo games do.

I've been waiting and wishing forever for a new Conker's Bad Fur Day to come out. That game was one of my favorite multiplayer games ever. My best buddy and I had so much fun as kids playing it. Although, we played Destiny together recently, and it was a blast. We called each other up, had our bluetooth ear pieces in, and we did all the missions together. So much fun

The order is very good. And it's challenging too. Not as easy as you'd think. I kind of hate how when you're about to die you can't shoot your weapon. Most games don't have that, and I keep forgetting.

Quite infuriating, in fact, I threw my controller down for the first time in awhile last night. Given it just hit the mattress I was on, but still. Quite impressive. Thrown controller and a bunch of swear words (with a girlfriend saying "If you are getting angry, maybe you should stop playing" (she just doesn't understand)). Touche Sony, touche.

Been awhile since the threw a controller, I have just went and turned my ps4 off during Lords of the Fallen for I was very far, right by a save point and I got killed. So much lost and so much I had to replay.

Was pissed, didn't turn the game on for a few days lol.

I have broken a few controllers by snapping them in half. UFC online on the 360 had so many cheesy/cheating players, I know I went through at least two controllers because of that garbage. Those 360 controllers were claimed to be indestructible, I proved that wrong, though.

On another note, Project CARS is released tomorrow. I've been following its development over the last 3-4 years, I'm very excited for it. I'll be grabbing it on the PS4.

Damn bro I don't think I've ever in my life snapped a controller in half. I've had consoles forever as a kid too, my parents would allow us to play on the weekends, OR if the weather was bad (hahahaha).

Get you a Zanax bro, LMAO! The closest I've come was I chucked (not even overhand) a controller when my bud and I had an extreme game of Madden going on.

...

I think I may need to have a look into either of these games to get before the new Batman is released. Not sure which one stands out:

The Witcher 3 (haven't played any of the other two, but I'm not sure if that will matter, releasing the 19th this month I believe)

The Evil Within

Resident Evil Revelations 2

HAHAHAHA!!! I rarely get very mad when playing games. But, when a cheater is obnoxiously trash talking as he's cheating, it becomes unbearable sometimes. I'm the calmest person I know, but I couldn't contain my rage a few times.

Witcher 3 is on my birthday list. I never played the first and only played a portion of the second. I've read you don't need to have played the first 2 to get into the third one. It looks quite cool and I look forward to getting my hands on it.

I never played 1, I liked 2 but had trouble following it sometimes.

Hopefully 3 will be more of a stand alone game.

Witcher 2 was very well done. It wasn't the massive open world game that Skyrim was, but it was polished, and it's battle system had skill incorporated into it kind of. More so at least than some other games out there.

Took me a little while to really get into Witcher 2, but it was a satisfying game. Not the best ever, but pretty good.

Getting lost worries me, that's always a concern of mine when playing RPGs. There are so many fictional town names, weird names for characters, a ton of side quests, etc. Especially if I stop playing the game for a week or more, I always forget what was going on and lose interest. I hope I can keep up with Witcher 3 when I start it.

I picked up Project CARS on the PS4 yesterday and stayed up WAY too late playing it last night. Wow, it's phenomenal. I got it on the PS4 because it’s 1080p while the Xbox One version is only 900p. It has prototype, GT, karts, F1 (without the licensing), and a few other styles of cars with up to 40+ on the circuit during a race. Rain, fog, thunderstorms, day-night cycles, headlights, and windshield wipers are included. There are also a bunch of tracks like Le Mans, Hockenheim Ring, Nordschleife, Brands Hatch, Nurburgring, Monza, Spa Francorchamps, Road America, Imola, Dubai, Silverstone, Monaco, and a bunch of others. I hope they add Daytona in the near future. It’s basically a do-it-all circuit racing game and very realistic. The graphics are ridiculous and the developer said they’re working on a patch to make them even better. I think I’m going to connect my PS4 to the 4K UHDTV in the living room in the next few days to see how it looks on there. Good stuff, indeed. This is the sim racing game I've been waiting years for.

I'll be curious if there is any difference when you connect up to the 4k HDTV, do let us know.

Although I'm a car person, I just never got into car games outside of Twisted Metal, lol!

HAHAHAHA!!! Twisted Metal, I used to LOVE that game. My friend and I would always go his house during our lunch breaks in high school and play that. Good memories.

I will let you know if it looks different on the 4K TV. I'm guessing it will look more impressive because that TV is 10" larger than the one I usually play on. It will probably also be a little crisper, but I don't imagine much more of a difference aside from those two points. As a racing fan (F1, DTM, Blancpain GT Series, and anything else I can get my eyes on), this one really gives me what I want in a racing game. The PC version is 4K capable, I wish I had a computer strong enough to run that. I can only imagine how glorious it would look.

The Christmas morning when I opened up my Playstation 1 and etc, Twisted Metal got played for the second it was unwrapped, until my eyes couldn't stay open any longer lol. You could have cooked eggs on my PS1 that night! Then Twisted Metal II came out, oh dude! Then from thereafter, they started to suck (due to change of game development companies).

...

So deciding to be lame this weekend, I hovered on eBay for a few last night and snagged up The Evil Within for 18 bucks. This will hold me off until Batman probably. Batman games are preorder category for me, they're always long, fun, extensive and I'm just a Batman fan period.

Then i'll pick random games here and there until November, when Battlefront comes out! It'll be hard to pick, this is IF it's even released this year as they keep changing it, now they won't even give a date - but when The Division comes out. Seems like Battlefront is the no-brainer.

*EDIT* - forgot to ask, no spoilers but has anyone played The Evil Within? I'll be rocking it in the PS4, how were the graphics and etc if anyone indeed has? I heard it's 30fps as opposed to the 60fps, but YouTube videos make it seem like it's pretty darn good!

I never played Evil Within, but I read some good things about it. Let us know your thoughts after you put some time into it. By the way, The Division was pushed to 2016 last week.

I put Project CARS on the 4K TV over the weekend and it looked spectacular. Huge and very crisp, it's amazing what kind of improvement it was over the normal TV I play on.

I will, hoping to get some gaming in this weekend.

And yes, I saw that RD push, hopefully that's a sign they aren't rushing The Division and the product will live up to the hype it's created. It has the potential to be *epic* IMO.

Just got a new PC a few weeks back. (128GB SSD, 2TB extra drive, 12GB Ram, Core i7 2.4GHz, 1GB GeForce GT430 graphics card). Just recently downloaded steam (I know, I'm a little behind) and picked up Saints Row 3 and Mass Effect 2 (spending a grand total of $8) and I have to say I wish I had picked up PC gaming earlier.

I'm playing through Mass Effect 2 for the second time (beat it on Xbox a few years back) and I've been blown away with how smoother the gameplay feels and how much quicker the load times are. The colors and graphics seem sharp, and it's just been a much more pleasant experience than what I remember.

Looking forward to the big steam sale at the end of the month.

Any other PC gamers here?

I used to break about one controller per year, which isn't that much, but it would happen. And this goes back a long time. Something would just trigger a "this controller has to break so I immediately stop playing this game until I can afford a new controller" event.

I don't think I've done that for about 10 years though. I just swear a lot now. Actually, I also stopped playing Madden and college football, that might have been the trigger.

Some stuff here and there. As I mentioned before, if you like city builders or simulation games, Cities:Skylines is worth every penny (I believe its Steam exclusive). It's everything that last Sim City should have been, and no you don't need to be connected to the internet to play it, haha.

I also just bought a USB NES controller, because NES emulators are the best.

The Sim City that came out in 2012 was a massive disappointment. I hated how you had to be connected to the EA servers and there was no single player (not until later anyway). Every single time you tried to log in you either couldn't play due to servers being too crowded, or their was a 30 minute update that needed to install. flamingmad

Ugh. Thanks for bringing up those dead memories! Ha ha.
