Love how the guys are playing at a high level with injuries. Shumpret, Mozgov and JR trades are paying unbelievable dividends.
Wish Mozgov would hit that open jumper more, but he's the rim enforcer. Not sure how many blocks he had yday, at least two and pretty sure one was on Rose.
It would really be nice to win Game 6 and have the other series go 7 games ... maybe get an extra 2 days of rest because we'd need it
I do think it will be very difficult to win in Chicago though
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I do have to be a little nit-picky about the game a bit. Everyone (in the media) is saying how "super-human" Lebron was yesterday and I get the feeling they really do just look at the box-scores and not the actual game. In the first half, he really was amazing though. He went 10 for 12 and was in full on beast mode. I love THAT Lebron. He gets the ball, doesn't hesitate, goes to work and abuses the defender before they have a chance to know what's going on. The second half though, he only went 4 for 12 and I felt he was a big reason the Bulls came back the way they did.
To start the 4th, Lebron was on the bench and we had a 9 point lead. Almost 4 minutes into the quarter, he finally checked back in and we had pushed the lead to 15. He made a layup and a 3 pointer to keep the lead at 15, but then after that he went into full LeISO/prevent-offense and it killed us. Granted he made up for it with that huge block on Rose ... but I always raise my eyebrow when I hear media guys make it sound like Lebron carried us to the finish line in the 4th.
Yeah after the Gibson ejection Chicago rallied and we just kinda fell flat. It was a closer score than what the first 3 quarters actually were. Anyone else notice Mosgov got benched for just about all of the second half? He was playing horrible after the half. Dude really needs to work on his hands and footwork.. He's got some work to do. Let Z work with him in the offseason. Having Andy back will be big next year. I think we'll have either Andy or TT next year. I don't think both are here. Going to be interesting. Our perimeter defense needs to improve..the Cavs perimeter defenders are all getting Rolex watches after Dunleavey gets his new contract.
I said earlier in the week whoever wins game 5 would win the series, I stand by that. It won't be easy, but we have the luxury of atleast one more home game
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

Ahh it was indeed LBJ that blocked Rose that one time. It was a huge play there in the fourth.

I would normally agree with this take, but I'm going to defend LeBron a little bit here. He was completely gassed by the time he came back in, and he had zero offensive help. I mean Kyrie could barely walk let alone run.
I don't like the hero/ISO ball that I saw LeBron engage in many times this season, but last night it's almost like he didn't have a choice. Him missing shots was a factor in the Bulls coming back, but he almost had to put the team on his shoulders. Thankfully, they had a big enough lead to sustain it.
Best case scenario ... wrap it up tomorrow and get some rest.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

If I was the coach and or any injured player, I'd go all out tonight. Win tonight and earn yourself a nice period of rest, rest that for people like Kyrie is likely a difference maker.
I agree that tonight is important ... but it's just as important as last game or (probably) the next game against Chicago.
Going "all out" should be a given at this time of year, but I wouldn't change rotations/minutes with LeBron, Kyrie, Shump, Mosgov, or Smith ... they should play the same amount of minutes as normal IMO

I have a feeling we play free and easy tonight, and not so much with their backs against the ropes as they did in games 2-5.
Which means they're either shooting the lights out or Chicago gets a relatively easy win.
I've loved all the complaining from crappy Bulls fans. It's been wonderful.

No kidding. They almost make Boston fans look accepting. If I had a nickle for every time Chicago fans yelled, "OHHHHH" after a video replay like they just witnessed a murder after a non-call, I could probably retire.
--I bad-mouth LeBron and he comes out on fire. What I liked most about his game was that he was in the paint a lot. He should live in there and only occasionally shoot from outside to keep teams honest.
--TT is awesome! He's getting the max. Guaranteed. I know a lot of people don't like guys who don't shoot and score a lot, but there is more to the game than that, and TT gives the Cavs a ton of other things. His rebounding also opens things up for other guys. He is a stud!
--JR Smith? Are you kidding me? This guy makes some great shots. Man, his shooting ability is awesome.
--Schumpert is also very good. So is Mosgov. Gotta give the Cavs credit for going out and making those trades during the season. It's almost unbelievable how good those trades turned out.
--Kyrie was moving better in the 2nd and 3rd quarters than he was in previous games. It gave us a big boost. He started off moving slowly and he was dragging a bit at the end, but his offense in the middle of the game really helped. I wish he was full strength.
--Deladova is contributing. Made a couple of shots and he won't back down.
--Huge win for us. Like others, I really hope we close it out tonight. Man, we need some rest.
Agree with all of that except TT getting the max. And I agree with you that people undervalue him. They don't realize how valuable what he does is, especially second chance points. The Bulls path to their second three-peat was smoothed out due to Rodman. He's why the Bulls won 72 and 69 instead of 62 and 59.
But I just can't see him getting the max.

Gasol is playing tonight, but don't be surprised if he gets yanked early It seems like he's trying to tough it out. He's taking a lot of heat for missing the last 2 games. Fans are seeing Irving and Shumpert and even Lebron playing through injuries, and are questioning his heart. I think that's a little unfair. Every injury is different, and Gasol needs to be able to get around. He's not Shaq. If he can't move, he's a liability out there, because he plays no defense anyway.
I wonder how bad Rose's hand is hurt as well. He shot horribly the other night. He was clearly in pain. If he can't have a big game, I don't think the Bulls have much of a chance.
I attack him right off the bat. I am running pick and rolls against him. I am running flex cuts against him. I am trying to create switches and having him switch on TT and have TT do a 13 cut to the elbow where he either catches it and drives or feints and back-cuts for the lob.
Now, don't ask me what I would do to Kyrie if I were Chicago. LOL

TT getting the max?? You realize the max is like 30% of your salary cap? It's generally reserved for Top 30 players in the League, not a guy that's best suited for coming off the bench and supplying rebounds. If you think TT is getting the max for the Cavs then we're unloading Kevin Love. There is no way we could afford 4 players at a max salary. I agree he's been awesome and he deserves a pay raise ... but he's nowhere near worth a max deal.

In order for TT to get the max, someone other than the Cavs have to offer that to him, no? Who's that going to be?
I honestly have no idea what the cap numbers/spending ability are for nba teams this offseason, one of the perks of actually have a good team. We don't talk about drafts or cap space.

Well............I will take your word for it because I am totally ignorant about the cap and money issues. I will back down on my previous statement.
All I know is this............they better freaking pay him and not get outbid. He's valuable and way more valuable than most think.

According to HoopsHype, we can give him a qualifying offer of $7 million for next season. Some other team can offer him whatever they want and we can match it. I REALLY doubt some other team give him a max deal though. If they did, then I think technically, we could match it but we would be WAY over the cap apron and be paying a ton in luxury tax as well as be really restricted with other things we can do roster wise. If he doesn't get another offer, we'd have him on the books for one more year until he becomes a full-on unrestricted free agent.

Not really. There's tons of players like him and he can be replaced easily. Ed Davis could easily fill in form him on the court... But Bron and KI got TT's back so he'll be overpaid by a lot.
Lot's of home cooking in the 1st quarter. Hope the refs even things out soon or we don't have much of a chance.
Noah fouled TT 4 times on one play before the foul was finally called, Noah crashed into Mozgov trying for an offensive rebound and no call. Dunleavy being super physical on the perimeter and no call.
Meanwhile, far less contact gets a foul called on James and Mozgov
