Typical Versatile Dog he has to SPAM HATE... What the hell are you talking about?! Right here, right now is an ongoing discussion about Bowe, it fits perfectly here. Plus, it's not like this is the first time a poster re-posted for the same reason. Your punkass addition of highlighting with the red letters is a real solid contribution . Some of you guys, you in particular at this moment, need to take a look in the mirror and ask if you really want to contribute or just be an asswhole for what you hope gets a laugh.

heres a question
who will score more TDS this season Dwayne Bowe or Jeremy Maclin at WR?
I think Bowe and Hartline are better locker room additions than on field additions. It just doesn't make sense to me to bring in 2 WRs who had very little success in finding the end zone combined to a WR core who's leading TD leader at WR was Travis Benjamin.
I think Malcolm Johnson will be that X factor on offense who will give the Browns a physical presence at FB. just to be able to iso on a LB and make a path.
Defensive Tremon Williams is a good signing. He can teach Justin Gilbert on how to be a pro.

If KS offense stays the same as last years, then Maclin's number's are going to go down. He's a really good WR, but that offensive system isn't WR friendly at all.
And that's fine. Maclin wants to win/got paid/reunited with his old coach.
But if Bowe Has better numbers than Maclin, barring injury, it's not because one is better than the other, but because the system already predetermined that.
IMO, of course.

Typical Versatile Dog he has to SPAM HATE... That's completely unnecessary, Vambo. Hopefully, a change of scenery and getting used to the defenseless receiver rules fix Bowe's middle of the field issues. Absolutely unnecessary. Man, a lot of this stuff is incredibly childish.

Totally weak. So because one board member calls our FO personnel names you pick out a totally different board member and bag on him with everything you got? Weak dude. That just proves you had no real reason other than a unprovoked personal attack hoping for at least a pat on the back and a giggle from like-minded posters. Punk teenager stuff. Then you say you're tired of the hate in every thread. There was no hate in his post. There was no hate in this entire thread until you posted your own version of personal hate. You owe dude an apology. Are you man enough to do that?

Smith isn't a strong down field thrower plus other then Bowe they didn't really have anyone at WR. one would think in the red zone smiths arm wold not matter as much and if bowe was their best WR that would increase his targets in the red zone? just asking???? I wasn't talking about just the red-zone in that partial quote of me but showing why the Chiefs went with a 2 TE offense. When your weak at WR and you have an exceptional RB and 2 good TEs it make sense to play to those strengths especially when your QB is good at the short and intermediate throws but not so good at throwing the long ones.

j/c: I posted this in another thread, but it fits better here: One note for all of you interested.
Bowe is probably going to end up being one of most hated guys in Cleveland.
I have followed his career w/interest because I absolutely loved the guy coming out of college. He had size, a wide catching radius, speed, power, big play ability, worked the middle of the field, etc. He was one WR I wanted us to take.
Therefore, I followed his career and always kinda supported him. He had some decent years and one monster year.
Unfortunately, he has some big time issues. I remember him running several routes over the middle where he alligator armed it. One was in a huge game when they needed him to make a catch to continue a potential game winning drive. The KC fans turned on him. Teammates turned on him.
His off the field issues compounded the problem. His falling production numbers magnified things. There were so many KC fans wanting him out.
The guy has some God given gifts that could have translated into him being an all-time great, but he is inconsistent, gets into trouble off the field, and the alligator arm thing is not going to go over well here in Cleveland.
You will all probably forget...or at least pretend to forget...that I said this, but there it is. Quoted for truth. Bowe is a good fantasy football player opposed to a real one. He'll get you the 10 yards you need to beat your coworker. However, he needed 11 yards for the first down.

Defensive Tremon Williams is a good signing. He can teach Justin Gilbert on how to be a pro. This is a hard situation. I don't think Alex Smith can throw past 10 yards, but I don't think McCown has any more talent than his brother did. Honestly if one does more than the other it's a miracle, if one does anything it's a miracle of God.

Defensive Tremon Williams is a good signing. He can teach Justin Gilbert on how to be a pro. thought haden was doing that?

Well I'm sure we won't forget. Sometimes fresh starts are a good thing especially with a kid who has talent. His issues (don't follow them and ignorant on them) can't be too bad cause never a big national media thing.
We hope to revive his career get a little of the stagnation that had come about in KC. Hopefully the new start and him being an adult we'll see. I doubt our Coaching staff will give him a free ride.
Thanks for the Info actually a fresh start and the natural talent he possesses is sort of a good thing. If not then we won't miss what we don't have.
As Bowe said...#1 or #2 it doesn't matter you are out there running your routes. Red Flags on a WR is nothing rare... jmho n thanks for the heads up.

Dwayne Bowe went back to Kansas City to pay his respects to longtime ticket holder Dwayne Bowe returned to Kansas City this week to say farewell to Betty Johnson, a faithful fan that rarely missed a game in her nearly three decades as a season ticket holder. From KCTV5: “He flew in for my mother’s funeral to give her the last kiss. Her celebration was just what she wanted. I wished I could have seen her in heaven today. I know she was there in spirit. It was a special ending to very special person,” Susan Johnson said. Bowe got up at the memorial and said a few words about his biggest fan. He even sent her a wreath of white flowers. “You might have thought you were the Chiefs No. 1 fan, but in so many ways, we were yours. Thanks for making Arrowhead feel like home to me. I will continue to play my heart out for you. Kisses to you my special angel,” the current Cleveland Browns player wrote on the flowers. Last week, Johnson’s family put out a request on Facebook for the Chiefs to come say goodbye to the beloved grandmother, who received a kiss from Bowe at every game. The wide receiver was released by the Chiefs in March and signed by the Browns shortly after. According to reports, former Chiefs kicker Nick Lowery also visited the longtime fan, known to many players as “Grandma”. (Thanks to KCTV5 for sharing) Link Dwayne Bowe's positive energy 'is going to take the Dawg Pound to the next level' CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Pro Bowl receiver Dwayne Bowe, who signed his contract with the Browns on Friday, is confident he's a great catch. "The positive energy I'm going to bring to the locker room is definitely going to take the Dawg Pound to the next level,'' he said in a Browns news release. "The Browns were the perfect situation from the fan base to the style of offense and the way I'll be utilized to help the team go to the next level.'' Bowe, who signed a two-year deal -- terms of which have not been released -- had his ups and downs in eight years in Kansas City, but brings valuable experience to the Browns. "After eight years, you're a pro's pro,'' he said. "I've had every style of coaching, every personality. I've been through a lot and it's going to make this transition a little easier because of what I've been through. The fan base is crazy just like Kansas City and is something I'm excited to be a part of.'' Browns general manager Ray Farmer, who spent six years with Bowe in Kansas City, praised Bowe (6-2, 222) for his ability to win contested balls, something the Browns wanted Gordon to improve on last season. "Dwayne is a player that adds a big, tough and physical presence to our group," Farmer said. "His ability to play in high-traffic areas of the field for contested catches is something we really like. We have talked about having a versatile group of wide receivers that can align and play from various positions, and he can do that. His position versatility to inside and outside numbers appeals to us in a variety of ways. We look forward to seeing how he will help our team." Bowe's production has dropped off some in recent years, but he's still had at least 57 catches and 673 yards over the past three seasons. Last season, despite being suspended for the first game of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy, he caught 60 passes for 754 yards. Like every other receiver on the team, however, he was held without a touchdown catch. The Chiefs released him last week after they signed top-rated free agent wideout Jeremy Maclin. "Dwayne brings a nice combination of size and speed to our wide receiver group," Browns coach Mike Pettine said. "He is a veteran player that has been productive and caught a ton of footballs in this league. His size and catch radius make him very quarterback-friendly, and we are happy to add him to our team." Bowe, the No. 23 overall pick in 2007 out of Louisiana State, is the second longtime veteran receiver cast off by his only NFL team this offseason who was picked up by the Browns. The other was Brian Hartline, who was released by the Dolphins after six seasons. Together, they help upgrade a young receiving corps led by Andrew Hawkins last season and help ease the loss of Josh Gordon, who's suspended for at least all of 2015. They also make unrestricted free agent Miles Austin, who excelled for the Browns last year before suffering a lacerated kidney at the end of the season, expendable. "These guys just want to play football,'' Bowe said. "You don't have any ego guys on that team. You've got guys that just want to come in and do their job and make the organization successful, and that's all you ask for in a group, guys that want to come in and play their tail off. It doesn't matter if they're No. 1 or No. 2 as long as everyone is contributing. They just want to win. That's something the organization definitely needs now is winning, and they're putting in the right pieces to make that happen." Bowe is also eager to play for new offensive coordinator John DeFilippo, who incorporates a variety of styles, including the West Coast offense. "That's something I wanted to be a part of, getting more opportunities and being able to showcase my talent," Bowe said. "The way he brings the energy and that positive excitement is another reason why I made my decision to be here." Bowe has been suspended twice by the NFL, including the one-game ban last year for a marijuana arrest, and four games in 2009 for violating the performance-enhancing drug policy. The 2014 suspension was handed down despite the fact a passenger in Bowe's car testified under oath that the marijuana was his, and Bowe's possession charge was dismissed. As for the P.E.D. suspension, his agent Todd France told the Associated Press in 2009 that Bowe tested positive for using a diuretic and not a steroid. And despite a clash with former Chiefs coach Todd France, Andy Reid loved coaching him the past two seasons. "Dwayne is one of my favorite guys that I've had a chance to coach,'' Reid told reporters in Kansas City. "He keeps it real out there every day and brings energy every day. You don't have big ups and downs in personality or anything else. He enjoys doing what he does.'' Link

They get an A if the thinking behind those first two draft picks was BPA...
If they drafted that Erving kid because they think Mack is gone after next year, that doesn't sit well with me. I understand that regardless of the situations, Erving is still the same pick and same player, but I just would feel so good as a fan knowing that finally the people in charge are starting to see the draft like some of the better teams do.
I can live with not trying to play for next year if it means that Farmer and his guys are identifying the best talent available and going after it.
I like Hartline, but I really wonder if we kind of already have that style of player in Hawk. There's nothing wrong with that kind of signing though, because it wasn't any kind of ridiculous investment, and it would be nice to have some depth at WR (even if we don't have a 1)
Maybe next year they get a small bump in grade by not having any coaching changes!

Pretty fair assessment just some points. Cameron: Nevertheless, a healthy Cameron would have been right there with Bowe
but that there was exactly the problem, Cameron's health - lets see where the new guy fits. He's been in an offense that doesn't utilize their TEs - I'm curious hopefully he has decent hands. I am positive in his sleep he can exceed the production of Cameron last season. McCown, will he be competent or a bum? Sometimes things are simple. jmho I agree. I know that Housler has had a season where he caught 45 passes, so it's not like the guy can't catch. Even if Cam,eron has a good year, it's not like we will be void of stats at the TE position. If given the same amount of looks, I think Housler compares favorably.

The Browns wanted him back the problem was he didn't want to be back, as was the case with Buster. If the Browns had viewed Housler as a player on par with Cameron they would have let Cameron go easily the fact they didn't says it all about how they view Cameron. Same goes for Miami, if they were near equal as players and teams viewed them as such Cameron doesn't get the deal he did in Miami. Bottom line we lost a lot of talent at the TE spot with the departure of Cameron. Health concerns to the side the Browns and Miami wanted his services because he is heads and shoulders the better player. Thinking that Housler will be his equal is flawed wishful thinking, nothing more. The one positive I take from it is we don't have anyone to throw either of them the ball anyway.

Lets be honest BTTB...all throughout the FA process I and others expressed deep concern for his career as I do "Honestly" think one more concussion and he's retiring. I stated more than once - I hope he gets his Money Second contract just not here.
If signed here...would the Homer's and positive guys make the best of it as in - OK Cameron is still a Brown...of course that is what we do. How we feel inside is another thing. But I and several others expressed our fears prior to him leaving here.

Housler has more talent than many people around here are giving him credit for. Don't take my word for it bro just watch him this season and see for yourself. I keep my mouth shut when people bash something that deserves bashing but I am getting sick of folks crying over spilled milk that has not even been spilled.

Amen GM. If I lived my life like that, I would have to buy a pick up truck, a dog and a six pack and listen to 'ol lonesome George That's a road I have been down and don't wish to return. I'm not sure I follow. I believe some simply try to be what they consider to be realistic. Not that others have to agree, but setting yourself up for failure by being over positive isn't a path some wish to follow either. When looking at the career of McCown, I can see why posters would have grave concerns, yet somehow they shouldn't express them? Our schedule is much tougher this season, so posters should expect great success? Now I don't mind those who are a bit over the top or wish to put a positive spin on anything and everything that comes along, but I find it more than a bit funny how posters who have legitimate concerns are labeled as being consistently negative. When it comes to the TE position, I was one who was concerned with the long term health of Cameron. The length it took for him to recover from that last concussion sent a strong message IMO. I'm not sure they addressed the position properly but I'm willing to take a wait and see approach.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

J/C 2015 Depth Charts Update: Cleveland Browns Notes Josh McCown heads into 2015 as the team’s starting quarterback, but that moves comes with its own question marks. He was fantastic in that half season stretch in Chicago back in 2013, but that remains the only season since 2007 where he has finished with a positive grade. A poor season in Tampa Bay last year, where he made some really poor decisions with the football, and he’s now set to start for his third team in three seasons. Andrew Hawkins is the Browns best skill position player at this point, and underrated by many even as a slot receiver. Our 11th highest graded receiver in 2014, Hawkins forced 11 missed tackles and averaged 6.4 yards after the catch. The type of receiver where it’s important to find ways to put the football in his hands, he can be a major asset for the Browns out of the slot in 2015. Former first round draft pick Phil Taylor has fallen down the depth chart on the defensive line, and faces a fight to see much playing time in 2015. A poor season in 2014, where he graded at -6.5 on just 133 snaps, doesn’t help him, but the signing of Randy Starks all but rules out any chance of him starting this season. He’ll battle with John Hughes for snaps behind Starks. Despite the pessimism around several parts of the roster, the Browns starting defensive backfield is up there with the very best in the league. Joe Haden might not be in that elite group at cornerback, but he is in the high quality group below, and he’s now joined in Cleveland by Tramon Williams. In the slot, K’Waun Williams really impressed on limited work in 2014, finishing the year with a +11.0 coverage grade. At safety, the duo of Tashaun Gipson and Donte Whitner are one of the best safety pairings in the NFL. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/06/02/2015-depth-charts-update-cleveland-browns/------ If you click the article, you'll be able to see the graphics much better.

doesnt sound right. jmo I wouldn't be surprised if he starts. But the only thing that struck me is the side of the line they have him at. I thought Des Bryant was mostly on the LE position. Probably doesn't make all that big a difference...no matter who starts on the line, I think there will be a heavy rotation anyways.

Snaps Lost: Cleveland BrownsThe “Snaps Lost” series is a detailed look at the playing time void created by players that have left each team this offseason, whether they were traded, cut, left in free agency, or retired. Because each unit plays a different number of snaps over the course of the year, we have created the “Full Time Equivalent” metric. FTE is the total number of missing snaps divided by the number of plays the team ran on that side of the ball. This is an equivalent measure of how many full time players (100% snap count) the team would need to add on to make up for their offseason losses, even though very few players actually play a full snap count. For example, if a team had 1,100 snaps on offense and then lost seven players who combined to play 2,200 snaps, their FTE would be 2.0 (2,200/1,100). This ensures that a team who lost a high volume of players only has a high FTE if those players racked up some significant playing time. FTE can only fall between zero (no players left the team) and 11 (fire everyone!) for each side of the ball. Each team will have a ranking following their FTE, with the first-ranked team in each category (offense, defense, and total) representing the team with the smallest portion of their playing time in need of replacement. A few caveats before getting into the good stuff: -Suspensions and injuries that may limit 2015 snap counts are not considered. -Biggest Losses are purely in terms of snap count, not necessarily in terms of impact. -All snap counts are Regular Season only. Cleveland Browns Overall FTE Lost: 5.57, 17th Offense FTE Lost: 2.94, 23rd Biggest Losses: Bryan Hoyer (934), Miles Austin (544), Nick McDonald (481), Jordan Cameron (487) Summary – He had his ups and downs in 2014, but Hoyer will take his ups and downs in 2015 to the Texans quarterback competition now. Austin was yet again unable to play 16 games and likewise had to find a new team this offseason. McDonald filled in for Alex Mack for much of the season, but earned the third-worst grade at center (-28.3) in the process and did so on less than half as many snaps as the guys just below him. Of these four, Cameron will be missed most, heading to Miami on a two-year deal. Replacement Plan – Johnny Manziel wasn’t drafted in the first round to sit on the bench, so he should see the field this year even if it isn’t for 16 games. Josh McCown was brought in as an insurance policy after falling back down to earth in Tampa last year. Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline were both picked up after being cut by the Chiefs and Dolphins, respectively, though incumbents Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel both could increase their snap count this season, as neither topped 700 in 2014. Cleveland picked up Cameron Erving in the first round and will rely on him if Mack misses time again. The only position without a true like-for-like replacement is at tight end, where Gary Barnidge should see his role in the offense increase. Jim Dray and former Cardinal Rob Housler should fill in behind him and in two tight end sets. Defense FTE Lost: 2.62, 14th Biggest Losses: Buster Skrine (1,152), Jabaal Sheard (690), Jim Leonhard (517), Ahtyba Rubin (457) Summary – Skrine left for big money in the Big Apple, and Cleveland was wise not to get in a bidding war for his services. During his four year NFL career, Skrine’s never had a positive coverage grade over the course of a season. Sheard played well in 2014, but considering what the Browns have invested at outside linebacker in recent years, letting him go isn’t quite so bad. Leonhard retired after 10 seasons of bouncing around the league yet seemingly always found playing time. Rubin was not re-signed after a disappointing year finishing in the bottom 10 of our defensive tackle ratings. Replacement Plan – Tramon Williams was brought after a long stretch in Green Bay and should be a moderate upgrade on Skrine, provided this isn’t the year Father Time catches up with him. Former first-round pick Barkevious Mingo might see his snap count increase a touch with Sheard gone, but already at 681 snaps in 2014 he can’t do it alone. Instead the hole left by Sheard will be filled in a large part by second-round pick Nate Orchard as he gets used to life in the big league. Prior to tearing his MCL last year Tashaun Gipson had missed just a dozen snaps and should be a full-time player again in 2015. At No. 12, the Browns picked a massive nose tackle in Danny Shelton who certainly could provide an upgrade on Rubin, while Randy Starks was signed from Miami for additional snaps on the line. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/06/08/snaps-lost-cleveland-browns/
