Yes, thanks to our current Government I have learned that Socialists are always friendly with other peoples money.
Is this a joke?
We live in arguably the most capitalist society since the 1920's, and Obama is the Washington to capitalism's Delaware River.
Many on this board subscribe to chain mails which argue that Obama is a socialist marxist islamic kenyan communist nazi homosexual murderer antichrist that's coming for guns.
Any opinion with facts is usually disregarded as liberal bias from other sources.
Welcome to the Everything Else forum.
Eh, as a an example from this post, there are extremes on several sides here. This particular post is an exaggeration based upon maybe 3 or 4 of the extremists from the other side. It would be better on this board if people ignored the people who are so one sided, but they don't, and we are left with posts like this.
There are a number of reasonable people here with some very insightful and reasoned responses. They are often drowned out by the people who just spout crap from a one sided point of view who regurgitate the talking points from one party.
it's a shame, because we could have some really good discussion in this forum if people stopped giving so much attention to the people just trying to get attention and talked to those who want to really have a conversation, but it's not human nature.
Yes, we could all have such wonder conversations if we simply ignore those with a different POV.
When I look at the most recent Farm Bill, it costs taxpayers
$956 Billion of which $756 Billion goes to food stamps and nutrition programs. To me, this smacks of socialism. There are many other taxpayer funded programs that also smack of socialism from my point of view. The Nations Safety Net is becoming a way of life now. Ignore it as you wish.
Another opinion of mine is that so many people on here actually resent the rich and successful. They want to take money away from them and punish them for their success. I find this ridiculous.
When a person builds an empire of wealth, he raises many others up the ladder as he rises. His managers make hundreds of thousands. His entire growing organization takes many others up with it, creating good jobs and this is good for America as more rich and middle class are created. His rise to wealth does more for our economy than those who are not successful.
According to my Christian Beliefs, if a person becomes wealthy and does not spread some of that wealth around, he is guilty of the sin of greed. Just like the sins we are all guilty of.
So you are welcomed to ignore this "Extremists" views as you wish, sitting high atop that fence of yours, leaning this way or that, as the wind blows while ignoring those with a different opinion from your own.
