It's nice to see that the majority of us agree on something. That doesn't happen often on this board. lol. The Cavs have given us all a reason to be proud. LeBron's leadership and maturity is on a different level from his first go around here. Imagine what it would be like if/when they pull it off! I'll be another crying tears of joy!!

The city would burn for sure.

It's like....i wish we could win the next 3 straight, but how awesome would it be for us to win game 6 IN cleveland for the title?

good god...

Sounded worse than I meant. With tighter D and more hustle on boards and getting back, I think we might pull away.

Not taking a thing away from their D which has been stouter because it had to be. It was tough enough to win, and that is pretty danged tough. Take all the wins these leftovers can manage.

Go Cavs!

NBA admits missed calls

The grades are in, and the NBA admits that the referees didn't get it right on a few key plays at the end of Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

According to the NBA, the referees missed some calls during the last two minutes of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 95-93 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. The best-of-seven series is tied at a game apiece.

With 1:37 remaining in overtime, the NBA said the Warriors' Andre Iguodala wasn't called for making contact with LeBron James' arm on a shot attempt as the 24-second shot clock expired. However, the league also admitted Monday that James had moved his pivot foot before the shot attempt and should have been called for traveling before the contact was made.

Another missed call came with 45 seconds remaining in the game as the NBA said that the Warriors' Draymond Green should have been called for grabbing James' shoulder and impeding James' ability to jump during the jump ball situation.

That wasn't the only instance of the referees missing Green doing that, either. The NBA admitted Green also should have been called for making contact with Tristan Thompson's arm, thus affecting Thompson's ability to control the ball, during the opening tip of overtime.

Fun fact that I heard... LeBron has more assists and more rebounds through 2 games in this series than MJ had in the entire 6 game series in 1998.

I'd rather have MJ's 4 wins in that series. smirk

1998 version MJ was probably the worst version of MJ. And that's saying something because he was still the best.

Another solid post.

I like Blatt, too. I actually think the guy has a great offensive system. We haven't utilized it as much as I had hoped, but that happens when you have LeBron on the team.

I think Blatt is a keeper and I hope people get off his back. He has some growing to do, especially in regards to some of his rotations, but he's done a good job under the circumstances.

Blatt knows how to keep his cool in a pressurized situation. This is where winning titles in Europe are an advantage. There's a difference between playing and coaching in stressful situations.

I like Blatt a lot, and have from the moment he was hired.

I look at the job that Blatt has done with this team, and I have to ask "what coach could have got more out of this team, especially with the injuries we suffered?" I can't think of any.

I know that James helped keep the team from letting down after Kevin, and the Kyrie got hurt, but Blatt definitely played a big part. He said that no one was going to feel sorry for us, and he refused to let the team give up. I think that he and his staff did a great job getting the "next man up" ready to go. Overall, I really cannot think of how a coach could have handled a really horrible pair of situations any better.

I was really hoping that the game would move to 8:00 when the series came to Cleveland. I work early, so it's hard for me to stay up until midnight to watch. I'll just have to get extra pumped.

Thanks for this post. I do not watch a lot of roundball and despite coaching it at lower level a bit, don't know the game all that well.

Wretched officiating IMO. Part of their job is to . . . . Not sure what they were trying to accomplish that would be fair and productive. Blind to too many major fouls.

Cold beers = NBA Draft! Go Cavs!

Do you stock up for overtime and allow for that?

I still don't think the Cavs can grind out a Finals win, but the possibility is very real, which is remarkable. If the Cavaliers steal this series and win the title, LeBron will begin to merit legitimate Jordan comparisons. The more with less narrative will begin to be an acceptable counter to counting Mike's rings.

If lebron lifts the teammates and we win a championship, after missing love, irving, and Andy, and all our players that are playing injured,

then screw a ring, get this man fitted for an actual Crown.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if we win, Nike will put up a billboard of LeBron screaming after Game 2 with just a swoosh on it. Or at least they should.
