I tend to agree. I really think we were just gassed at that point. They brought the lead all the way down to one, yet we re-grouped, took the lead back up to 8 and won by 5. As much as people say we couldn't "close them out", GS couldn't get over the hump either.

He wants to join the Browns. Jordan did baseball, LeBron d-

It's stupid to speculate. I just want to win.

I think I'm out of intelligent things to say about this team. I'm just really proud of their grit and resolve. Iman Shumpert should never inbound the ball again. Miller can handle close to 10 wisely budgeted minutes I think. We didn't get Mozgov as involved offensively- something we can change next game. JR still has a nutty performance left in him (good or bad). Shump can even contribute more offensively. I hope his shoulder is fine. We obviously can't afford to have any less depth than we already do. Delly has been fun to watch. Probably his best game this post-season (outside of game six against the Bulls). A lot less head-scratching on the offensive end.

I won't be able to watch live again, but following this team- even on my phone- has been the most fun and rewarding fan experience I've had yet in sports outside of the 2002 Ohio State Nat'l Championship team.

That steal at the end that Delly jumped on was an amazing "Not in our house" Play by both players. I think that play won the game for us

I think Lebron won the game for us lol.

IMO he should get all the glory. Averaging close to a triple double is insane.

I've been thinking the same thing. Good thing we've been 'resting' Perkins.... smile

I think it all depends on how the game starts off. You could see the frustration in Golden State throughout the game last night. Draymond Green in particular and Steph Curry towards the end. If shot aren't falling and alledged fouls aren't called, you may see a few Cavs targeted, namely Delly and James.

Hopefully they know they can't fall into the trap of these tech fouls or instigations. We are too limited from a personnel side, except for sacrificing Perkins to the Tech 2 gods.

Game 4 will be nuts. Hopefully the fans bring the noise again. I was so proud to see/hear the excitement through my TV. It was awesome!

I'm concerned he may have found his groove, and if Curry plays on Thursday like he did in the 4th quarter we're in trouble I think. Delly may be a bit banged up from that, too... I assumed that was why they went with Shumpert on Curry.

I'm pretty disappointed the other guys didn't pick it up enough to give Lebron a break this game. He even basically said that in the post game interview... that he can't keep this up all series.

Great win. Very good effort for 3 quarters and pulled it out in the end, but man I really don't like that fourth quarter. Can't rely on Curry having dumb turnovers like that.

I echo these concerns. I might not watch Game 4. I don't think my nerves can take it.

As to an announcement of some sort, LeBron was playing coy after Game 2 and said some cryptic stuff about having secret motivations that he won't share yet. I can guarantee you it's one of three things: a) he wants to win so badly for the city of Cleveland, b) he doesn't want to be 2-4 in Finals with one of those being a miracle win, and c) he's playing the MVP and he thinks he should be the MVP.

If the Cavs pull this off, I think they can repeat and maybe threepeat if they get everyone back. LeBron is VERY legacy conscious. That's why he has all these secret motivations. If he can get two in a row starting with this one, he's in the discussion for GOAT. If he can get a threepeat, he's at the doorstep. He's a globally thinking kind of guy. He will be the second player to ever own an NBA franchise. You can book that.

Even if LBJ's motivation is to stake a claim to the MVP title, he'd NEVER say it. That would be PR suicide. Curry earned it for this season and LBJ won't try to take that from him (publicly at least).

I think his sole motivation is to cement his personal legacy in his chase for being the GOAT, passing his childhood idol, MJ.

If they win, we're talking statue in front of the Q someday...probably name a street or two after him in downtown.

I was saying choke, but it was pure raw emotion after the big lead had evaporated. The guys were just about dead from fatigue and were just trying to hang on.

Actually, in the end, they did everything but choke especially Della and James. I'm proud of this team!

A isn't exactly a "secret motivation". And I think the other two would make him look bad. My guess would be he wants to say "F you, that was me" to Pat Reilly, who spent an offseason and season making it sound like LeBron couldn't hack playing "Miami Heat basketball". All year he's subtly sounded off that he was the reason the Heat dynasty existed.

Yeah, that's my guess as well. Some "big name" probably told him something off-the-record along those lines and he's using that to fuel the nobody believes in us angle to his teammates.

After reading your post, I think I was thinking about his secret motivation from the wrong angle. Maybe it does have something to do with something he heard that has him really fired up.

But he doesn't need to win the Finals to prove anything about the Heat. They didn't even make the playoffs without him. Don't need much more proof than that.

Oh, I agree completely. But LeBron has always been sensitive to what is said about him in the media. He's always played it off like he's above it and can turn off the noise, but it means a great deal to him. He bowed to Jim Brown after Brown spoke of James as if he were an equal in the Times. And Reilly has more or less been barbing James in the press all year, repeatedly. That's why I think it's that.

Vegas has the Warriors as favorites for Game 4 and the series. I would too. Hey, maybe that's more fuel on the fire this team needs.

I am not a Cavs fan in the least but I wanted to let the Cavs fans on here know, what this team has done is amazing and considering the refs are blatantly looking to screw the Cavs on just about every single call in this series, its a remarkable feat just to be where you are now.

It's all good. I understand the emotion.

I read all of the in-game posts this morning. The wide range of emotions was amazing to see. I get it........I was screaming at the screen over and over. LOL

Oh, and sorry guys for misspeaking earlier. I don't watch all the shows on TV and right before the game, I got a text from a guy at work who said something like "What's up w/LeBron's big announcement after the series?" Turns out LeBron said "secret motivation." That a big difference from "Big announcement." I didn't do that intentionally. My bad.

I hope the Cavs can weather the storm tomorrow night. Like some of you have said, I worry about our legs. We had tired legs at the end of the game and it's probably going to get worse.

One other thing I have been wondering about. I wonder how we will react if GS jumps out to the early lead? Do we have enough guns to come back? Nothing surprises me at this point, but I hope we once again grab an early lead.

I'd actually prefer they jump out early in the game.

that 36 4th qtr they had? i rather that happen in the 1st QTR, IMO.

they reason why is we can focus better. we play better when we're down a couple or keeping it close. i don't want another early 4th quarter brain fart like in game 3

It's just discussion, but I don't agree w/that. We lost two of our best 3 scorers and I don't want to get into an uptempo game where have to jack up a lot of shots to catch up.

This has been a defensive series and I think we can do a better job of controlling the tempo when we have the lead.

Secret motivation, IMO= He thinks he more worthy of being the MVP.

So far, he's absolutely right. He is exponentially becoming more of an impact in the NBA Finals. Delly is outperforming Curry at this point.

Oh, and I found out how Delly has become so good in the playoffs, particularly The Finals......

I did, however, there were many times were I voiced my feelings on here where I didn't think he'd be coming back. The last 5 years have been a really long process with a ton of low points.

I just hate this garbage that we hear from other fans and national media types. Like "Oh man, he did that to your city, and you burned his jersey, and now you take him back?"

uh yeah?

People make the decision out to be a lot more than it was. Yes, it was bad taste but why do people act like he drowned a bag full of puppies in front of the whole world? In the end, it was just a decision, his decision, and by the way, it was the right decision. We didn't want to hear it, and the Cavs certainly didn't want to hear it at the time, but it probably was beneficial for us. There is no Kyrie Irving or Tristan Thompson if Lebron had stuck around. You may or may not have had the resources to pull off the Mozzy and Shump/JR trades. There is no Kevin Love, and while we're doing it without Love, he's still a key part of this team going forward (He will be back)

Nobody knows for sure what would have happened with the Cavs had Lebron stuck around. But what we do know is his move to Miami allowed the Cavs to get younger, better, and financially strong.

East 4th was incredible last night on Sportscenter. I love the energy that the city is bringing. The Crowd was A+ last night. Lebron rang the bell and they answered it. When things got tough late, the fans got off their seats and kept the energy up. We need a better crowd tomorrow.

Be forewarned - this is a satire article, not a real news report

Dellavedova Breaks Arms, Legs, Neck; Will Play Game 4
BY ANDY BOROWITZ

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a freak accident following Game 3 of the N.B.A. Finals, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Matthew Dellavedova suffered fractures in all four of his limbs and neck, but said that he should be ready to play in Game 4, on Thursday.

Speaking from an intensive-care unit at the Cleveland Clinic, the gritty Australian declined to dwell on the details of the accident, but said that he would not let the loss of his limbs and neck keep him out of Thursday’s contest.

“I’m not going to give less than a hundred per cent just because I’m playing without a spinal column,” said Dellavedova, who acknowledged that he also broke his spinal column.

Cleveland coach David Blatt praised Dellavedova, calling him “the kind of blue-collar steelworker lunch-pail smokestack guy who won’t let a little full body cast slow him down.”

Blatt said that he anticipated another gutsy performance from his point guard in Game 4, noting that Dellavedova had played several games in college with a detached head.

Need that, agreed. I just played the hell outta the symphony and chorus vid before the game. Turned it up. Wife was singing in my ear (she performed the vocal before). I was stoked by game time!

Cleveland and its symphony and chorus ALSO rock.

Go Cavs!

Pat yourself on the back Sperg. You're the only one I can remember who kept his emotions in check, which had to be incredibly hard to do. And you're the only one I can remember that even thought that he might come back. I think that's cool as hell that you predicted that.

I've had a lot of people out here ask me that, and trust me, Bulls fans HATE Lebron. He didn't just not go to Cleveland during the decision, he didn't even consider Chicago, and Bulls fans were assuming he was coming here.

The only response I ever say, is that I had my football team taken away. That dude wanted to go play somewhere else, and it was purely because he wanted to win. How can you really fault a guy for wanting to win? For years we heard that Lebron wanted to go somewhere else so he could market himself (:::cough ballpeen :::cough) which was total BS. He wanted to win and he felt like the situation in Cleveland just wasn't getting any younger or better. I think he saw it as a 4-5 year plan, to come and take a look at how the Cavs were doing. If you follow Lebron on Twitter, he tweeted quite a few times about the Cavs. Dan Gilbert sent out that tweet congratulating Lebron, and then you had the Z jersey ceremony, and you could see the wheels moving.

Sure, the Heat could have beaten San Antonio and who knows. but sometimes things happen for a reason. Kinda like this series. Kinda like this entire playoff run.

Sperg, I remember you and I kinda joking saying lebron leaving was all a wink wink deal with Gilbert to give him a chance to build a team capable of winning a ring, never would have happened with lebron, we needed some lottery picks to make it happen. I still think there might have been some truth to it.
