Let's go Cavs!

In Vers' last post of the last thread, he mentioned that TT is averaging 14 boards per game, which is awesome.

I don't know that this really tells the entire story of the impact TT is having.

When TT goes hard at the offensive glass, he forces 2 very important things:
1. GS has to keep extra guys under the rim to block him out. Usually more than just one.
2. The Cavs other players can get back on defense to slow down GS from running and gunning.

This is a big reason why GS isn't getting many fast break points and the game has become nothing but half court possession-by-possession.

Without it showing up in stats, TT is having a HUGE impact on controlling the pace of this series just as much as LBJ is.

I hope Golden State starts doubling Lebron. If that happens, series over. Our shooters are gonna hit open shots.

That's the difference between us and Memphis. You double Z Bo and can get away with it. You double Lebron, that's playing into EXACTLY what he wants.

yea if they double lebron, say hello to averaging a triple double, cause his assist numbers are gonna be a ugly sight for GS.

people not named Cavs fans forget that we have some absolute snipers on the floor too.

Yeah, I don't get why pundits are crying for the double team either. Sure, go ahead and double Lebron and watch it rain threes all night.

Betting on JR, Delly, Shumpert and James Jones going cold isn't the worst bet in the world. If I'm Golden State, it's that or hoping LeBron runs out of gas right now.

I can't put my finger on it but I don't have a good feeling about tonight's game and I still don't really believe we're going to win the series. Is it old fashioned irrational Cleveland Black Cloud Syndrome? I don't know, maybe. I kind of think tonight is a must win for us in this series. That 4th quarter of game 3 made me nervous. Like they figured it out. Curry found his stroke again. One of the other guys... JR, Shump, Mosgov, someone is going to have to hero-up tonight IMO. Deli and LeBron look tired. We're sooo close, 2 games away from glory and I just don't see it.

It's annoying, but at least it's happening, right? I can't remember the last time Cleveland sports had me this buzzed. Even during the Browns run early this year, I was more waiting for the other shoe to drop than swept up in the moment.

JR is due for a breakout game.

Also, if TT gets switched up on Curry, I think he needs to play "taller". Instead of getting low into defensive position, play more upright and don't let Curry shoot over top of him. Get the hands up and make Curry think twice about getting blocked. If Curry goes around TT, the help defense needs to bail him out. I'd rather risk that than the 3-ball.

It's a pretty bad bet tbh. JR has been warming up pretty well. Delly is lol, Shump is iffy, but James Jones and Mike Miller are passable. If you sleep on those 4 (excluding Delly), you're asking to get blown out. You just can't double team LeBron.

Whoever wins tonight wins the series.. that's my prediction.

If the Cavs win, I don't think anybody can beat LeBron and this team 3 times in a row..

If the Warriors win, they will recapture some mojo and I can't see the Cavs beating them 2 out of 3 times (or again on the road)..

Just my thoughts. I think the deciding game is tonight.

**Disclaimer - If the Warriors do win tonight, I will come up with 10 reasons why it's not over.. hey, I'm a fan, I'm allowed to do that.

I'm with you man. Tonight is critical. Losing tonight wouldn't be the end, but it would certainly put the majority of momentum behind Golden State. It would be tough to recover from.

I read in S.I. or ESPN the mag - not sure which one - that of teams that have gone up 2-1 (based on game 3) 30 out of 37 times they've won the championship. (or maybe it was "won the series")

So, we've got that going for us.

Yes,we're an 84% favorite using history as a statistical measure. But we're also playing a 7-man rotation. I don't know what's crazier: that we've won two games, or that we're a few bounces away from having won 3. What LeBron is doing right now is simply incredible. I just hope he has the gas to keep this up.

If we win tonight, Lebron will single handily beat Golden State in a game 6.

I'm just worried Steph is gonna gun it every chance he's got. Cavs need to be ready for the Warriors best possible punch tonight. They're gonna throw haymakers at us tonight.

I caved. I found and bought a Delly shirt at Dick's Sporting Goods. They're getting in shipments every couple of hours, but they can't keep up with the demand. NE Ohio wants to believe. I can't imagine how rocking the Q will be tonight.

I agree with everything you've said here including the disclaimer. I'd especially like to see a win now so that the elimation game comes on two days rest. Tonight is now or never.

I'm reading a lot about how the Cavs might be a better team without Love and Kyrie... this has become the new cool thing for the pundits to talk about.... I'm not buying it.

I don't think you can survive an entire season, winning the way the Cavs have been playing in this series... LeBron would be warn out, Delly would collapse if he had to chase the other teams best shooter around like this every night for 82 games...

I do hope, I sincerely hope, that Love and Kyrie are both watching this series and seeing how much defense matters and that both buy into the defensive effort once they come back.

Wow!! I haven't seen that since the start of the season. It seems to ring more true than just a marketing stunt now than it did back then. Picture LeBron at the end of game 2 giving that same speech. Tonight could be incredible... I have goosebumps right now!

Is tonight game 7? smirk cool

We don't WIN anything until we have more points, the clock is all zeroes, and it's our 4th win of the series. I won't celebrate anything until those three things happen on the same night.
