Exactly, I don't like anyone else as a hero

Maybe Tyrian and Sansa? But neither of them are Jon Snow. I can't recall his name, maybe Bron? But what happened to the YOUNGEST Stark boy? Don't recall seeing him the entire season...

Outside of Rob, all the Stark siblings are alive.

Both Brann and Rickard took this season off and are due back next year, more than likely a little older

OK, finally got to sit down and watch last night.
Saw the Stannis thing coming a mile away, kind of figured Theon would eventually assist Sansa.
Was surprised Cersei was released, although was quite a interesting predicament for a Queen.
Jon Snow being killed, I hate it, he was one I was rooting for since season 1. So much more to his story, left to be told. I hope a resurrection does come, but then that means a twist to his story as he is indebted to the Lord of Light.
I would have taken the dagger from that little rat and taken him with me, along with as many other as I could. That scene was cold and cowardess. I did find it interesting that he got up and went out without his sword, I think every other time I have seen him, he has taken that sword with him.
My bet is the wildlings turn on the crows now.

At this point, I'm kinda rooting for the White Walkers.
Assuming that one day the dragons become a vital part of the fight against the walkers (Fire and Ice?)...what happens if a White Walker kills a dragon? Does it become an un-dead zombie dragon? How cool would that be?

After the whole raising the dead thing, I began to think that Jon would be the hero, and at some point figure out that killing the king would kill the minions (like killing a vampire kills all those that he turned).
But now that theory is out the window.
UNLESS, hmm, now my mind is going, Jon IS resurrected, which now make him invulnerable to the White Walkers abilities and gives him and advantage to defeat their king...... Hmmmm.

Interesting indeed. Now the hard part comes... Waiting another year to find out.

I know the books and show are two different beasts, however, when George met with the HBO "to-be" producers he quizzed them about Jon Snow's parentage to see if they were worthy to get the show rights. They guessed correctly. There is no way George would have asked that without it having the most extreme relevance to the story. And then for HBO to simply do what they did in the last episode (w/ no rebuttal) makes little sense knowing how importat Snow is to the overall plot. I think the books/show needed a reason to remove Snow from his Night's Watch vows, if you know what I mean. All speculation, of course now that the show, for the most part caught up with the books. This character arc is nowhere near being completed, in my opinion. Too many book/show hints and too many references to just let this fade to black. We know nothing about Jon Snow. Side note: I'm interested to see what they do about the one person who is allegedly at Skagos and if Davos will play the same role in the books......and I want to see some Freys "come and go". Another rumor has a certain pirate from the Iron Islands joining the cast too. Should be a cool, very revealing season 6.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

I hadn't even thought of that, but yes, it's a really good reason for him to break his Nights Watch vows, his brothers attempting to kill him. I do remember reading last year, that Martin told the HBO producers how the book series is supposed to end should something happen to him and he cannot finish. Does anyone actually know when the next book is due to be released?

Now way his arc is done I heard somewhere around the same time season 6 will begin. I think the book had originally been on track to be released this October, but it got pushed back. Not sure who makes the money when a book gets released (author or publisher) but someone is about to generate some serious cash money when Winds of Winter comes out. Dance of Dragons came out right around Season 1 but since then, the amount of people that have become caught up with both the books and show has been astounding. Possibly to become the best selling fiction book ever??

Melisandre said she saw herself in Winterfell with the Bolton's banners burning. She didn't say who was with her, maybe Jon?
