Are you kind of rooting for Richard Matt and David Sweat to elude capture?

It’s amazing they could escape that prison.

And remain uncaptured this long.

It’s just incredible they could have their escape that well-planned. It’s absolutely genius.

I can’t fathom how they lasted this long. I also can’t imagine they will stay free much longer given the immense resources being committed to finding them.

Everyday I watch the morning news expecting to hear of their recapture.

I haven't really followed the story. I know enough to know that I don't want them to evade capture. Given the nature of their crimes and the amount of money the taxpayers are spending to look for them, I hope they are caught soon....

It's hard to root for two psychopaths whose mode of escape included a plan A where they murdered an innocent man. This isn't a movie.

First, they had inside help to escape. The criminals were watching the criminals in this case.

Second, It is very difficult to find anyone in the woods of the Northeast this time of year especially someone who doesn't want to be found. The PA State Police learned this not long ago.

Now they are armed and desperate. This is nothing to take lightly.

One of them kidnapped, tortured, killed, and dismembered a person. I can't fathom anyone rooting for someone like him and another killer.

Kinda rooting for them to take a bullet tbh

i'm torn, to be perfectly honest.

on one hand, these guys are murderers. we need them off the streets.

on the other, i want the search called off simply because **my opinion** they are long gone.

a plan that elaborate? no way they didn't have a connect picking them up at some rally point.

Their plan fell apart when that inside lady faked a panic attack and went to the hospital, she was their ride.

I hope they get 'em ASAP. Whats even more frightening is that the people that are supposed to be guarding them are just as crooked as the inmates. Can you just imagine that? The inmates are running the asylum!

How did you know what they said when they realized she wasn't there?

I would go there and shoot them myself if I wasn't so busy getting ready for Church.

There has to be more people involved than a few low rung employee's. All the cutting and planning this took. I wonder what kind of info these guys got on someone?

Could be more people involved. The people that did help was the seamstress and their direct guard. Thats a good start. Got them the tools and heard nothing, saw nothing, know NOTH-ING!

It will some day be a book turned into a movie. The guard has been fired and I think arrested because he passed frozen meat to them that contained some kind of tools. He received from one the murderers girl friend or wife.

Hey nothing like a bunch of cloudy facts to clear up a story.

But if you want to root then root for the families to be payed with the profits from the guaranteed book and movie.

If that was the angle you were looking for, you did a poor job of framing the post.

It's not due to the intellect of the readers on a "sports message board". This one falls right back in the lap of the writer.

The thing with outside cohorts is that there is no doubt the authorities are evaluating every single person these guys (Matt & Sweat) grew-up with, are related to, worked with, met in prison, had lunch with 20 years ago.

Then perhaps don't open with "Hey, guys, aren't you kind of rooting for these sadistic murderers to roam free in our society?"

I've read just a little on the actual escape since you posted this and yes, I will give you that the escape itself is well conceived and quite interesting...

If this ends in dramatic fashion, like a shootout.. or maybe even if they are never caught, this has movie of the week written all over it.

I wonder if our younger posters even know what "movie of the week" is?

That said, hopefully you understand how your original post was interpreted.. now catch them before they hurt anybody else... because with what they are facing, I can't see them being willing to get caught, they went all-in and are probably willing to do whatever they have to, to whomever they have to, to avoid getting caught.

I can say with complete honesty that there is absolutely no part of me that is hoping these two evade police.

I can honestly say that if Sandra Bullock is in the movie I will watch it!
She is nearly as hot as Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin always struck me as that leather-faced type at the end of the bar whose had too much to drink, dancing around to "We Are 'Family" like Elaine on "Seinfeld" and slurring "Howyoudoinhoney?" to any man in her radius. You can have her, I'll take Sandra.
