Bristol Palin says she's pregnant for second time ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Bristol Palin says she's pregnant for a second time. The daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin announced the pregnancy on her blog Thursday. Her representative, David Martin, and Palin family lawyer John Tiemessen confirmed the blog post. The 24-year-old wrote that she knows this is a "huge disappointment" for her family, close friends and fans. She's asking people to respect her privacy, and that of her son Tripp, saying, "I do not want any lectures, and I do not want any sympathy." Bristol Palin was an 18-year-old unwed mother when she launched an abstinence campaign soon after giving birth to Tripp in December 2008. She was engaged to Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, but the wedding was called off days before the ceremony last month. __________________________________________________ Was it a coincidence that Fox and Sarah just recently separated?

typically, i wouldn't give a flying.... about this.
however, when you try to pimp yourself as this awesome christian family, as Sarah did, preaching to people about not having sex before marriage and such. you're kid getting knocked up at 16 ain't exactly good PR.
but mistakes happen. nobody is perfect of course, so it's fine.
but then, She decided to call off the wedding of her new fiance (different dude, BTW), and got pregnant AGAIN.
remember, she got hired to be a spokesperson to talk to teens about being abstinent, and not have sex before marriage. still pimping this awesome christian lifestyle.
oh......no in reality you are just the epitome of the stereotype that people make fun of in our "troubled" black community. you got 2 kids with two different baby daddies.
I don't want to hear a damn thing from one person in the Palin family about family structure or anything. they need to shut up and disappear.

I agree with you. I can forgive a lot of mistakes but when you set yourself up by setting your own expectations and championing a cause, you should live up to the expectations you set for yourself and those you are telling other people to live up to. oh......no in reality you are just the epitome of the stereotype that people make fun of in our "troubled" black community. you got 2 kids with two different baby daddies. The biggest difference being that this family can afford it. Money makes a lot of mistakes a lot less severe.

Families all have their issues, that's a given. I admire the fact they have plenty of money to murder the child with an abortion and cover the whole thing up but chose to face the music instead.

Maybe because they have money and notoriety is why she didn't get an abortion. That would have been news 24/7.
But yes it's absolutely wonderful they have enough money and can afford to choose.

well being rich typically allows you to live with your mistakes with little to no consequences in the long run.
if only everybody was rich though, right?

So what price do you place on the head of a child then?
How rich or poor must one be to decide the child's fate?
Financial decisions have always intrigued me.

i don't see why it's illegal.
current adoption laws are damn near robbery anyway. I mean....why not allow it(non-human trafficking way, of course).
right now there are way too many kids, and not enough families. however, the families that want to adopt, gotta climb the rockies and back just to get passed the qualification phase.

I think it's a shame what people are saying about this woman just to spite her mother. She's still a kid, and got put through a ringer of life through no fault of her own. Her mother is Sarah Palin, she was already born down in the count. There were bound to be embarrassments and contradictions in the public eye. Leave her alone.

she's 24. i'm 27. she's hardly a kid.
sorry, but i got no sympathy for her.
she had a teenage pregnancy. hey, it happens.
but when you're making all these public appearances about being a christian, when you are getting PAID by an organization to preach to kids about stay abstinent until marriage, when you're constantly telling people to stay out of your personal life, BUT THEN turn around and post everything on twitter, instagram and FB about said personal life,
and THEN get knocked up AGAIN, out of wedlock?
she deserves absolutely everything coming to her. she's a massive hypocrite. she still decided on her OWN accord after turning 18 to become a public figure. that's all on her, not Sarah.
stop defending massive hypocrites. she has no more right to claim a moral high ground, because she has none.
congrats to her on being a stereotype that everybody else makes fun of: a single chick with 2 kids from 2 different baby daddies.

I agree you reap what you sow and I have little to no sympathy.
I'd rather give a kid to a parent on welfare and be loved than be stuck in an orphanage. I'd rather have the kid in the orphanage than to be murdered in the womb though.

I agree but nobody wants to take the risk of being the adoption agent who places a child with a pedophile or an abuser... It's a really difficult situation. I'd like it to be easier but who knows how much due diligence on these wanna be parents is enough.... kids are born to crappy parents every day...

she's 24. i'm 27. she's hardly a kid. As a 27 year old, how would you feel if you were the subject of a Dawgtalkers thread? Keep in mind that someone, somewhere will be unable to unearth your worst moments. You'd lose it. You'd be reading anonymous people who never met you saying things you don't deserve. And I'm sorry, but at 27, you're a man, but you are still very much a kid. I know that sentence makes you a tad angry and defiant. It did when I was 27. But you are very much a kid. Embrace it. It's a luxury you don't know you have. Take pity on Bristol. Her mom gets what she deserves. Don't paste her with the sins of her mohter.

Typically I would agree with you that people deserve their privacy, especially going through something like this... but Bristol Palin made almost a million dollars as the spokesperson for abstinence.. so in this case, I'm sorry, but that opens you up to much greater scrutiny.

SHE is the one who broke the news that she got knocked up again, nobody broke that story. nobody held a gun to my head and made me join the army and get deployed 4 times. nobody held a gun to her head and told her to embrace the public figure lifestyle. you wanna be a public figure? you wanna be a mini celebrity? you wanna earn a 6 figure salary? happy birthday, deal with the good AND bad.

Don't paste her with the sins of her mother. I'm curious, what are Sarah Palin's "sins", besides holding beliefs and opinions that you don't share? Regarding Bristol Palin ... I'm always a little amazed at the sheer number of unwanted pregnancies in this country, as if preventing it were difficult. Good grief, you take a pill, you use an IUD, a sponge, Norplant, a damned condom ... but no. It was just too inconvenient, too expensive, too messy, too not-spontaneous. Freaking rocket science is easier, you'd think. Oh well, nobody said she was a Mensa member, but simple common sense would be useful. I do congratulate her for having the baby, rather than aborting it. But the cynic in me smells a reality show in the offing.

Why is this even a topic on our Board ????? For a number of reasons: 1. Bristol is Sarah's daughter. 2. Bristol got paid for talking about abstinence. 3. Bristol got pregnant for a second time, AFTER talking about (and being paid for talking about) abstinence. 4. Bristol is Sarah's daughter. Now - it's tough being a politicians daughter/son. I love what happened with Chelsea, when she was a kid growing up in the W.H. - she wasn't talked about - MUCH. As she grew up, became her adult self, and put herself out there as a spokesperson for her dad, her mom, the Clinton foundation.....she entered the "we can talk about her now" side of things. Same with W's kids. They were pretty well left alone as teens in the W.H. - once they got into the "real world" - that opens them up, in my opinion, for discussion, especially if/when they talked politics. Same with Sash and Malia. We don't see them in the press much, in a negative way. As they become adults - should they be out campaigning, or doing anything other than their job - they will have opened themselves up for discussion. Good, bad, or otherwise. JMO

I feel sorry for Bristol, not so much because she is being talked about but because she feels ashamed for being pregnant. She's bringing yet another life into this world and is forced by circumstances to feel bad about it. Really? That is sad.
At least she has found something she is good at! Now if her parents could just do the same we wouldn't have to hear about them any more.

I'm curious, what are Sarah Palin's "sins", besides holding beliefs and opinions that you don't share? I was using the term proverbially, not literally. Good grief, you take a pill, you use an IUD, a sponge, Norplant, a damned condom ... but no. To be fair, there's an entire movement dedicated to not teaching kids about how to use these things. On top of that, most sex education programs in school are painfully brief and short on details. I'm pretty sure I learned more about safe sex from Richard Pryor stand up than I did my school's sex ed program, which amounted to an hour or two in health class my freshman year.

Now return to bashing this young woman for her attempts to help the youth of America while being imperfect and Human. once again, one time is a mistake.
but when you're getting PAID to talk about abstinence before marriage, all the while you're smashing your boyfriend, then get knocked up again, it's not a mistake, its a pattern.

backtracking like we're doing the moonwalk: Bristol Palin Defends Herself: "This Pregnancy Was Actually Planned" https://celebrity.yahoo.com/news/bristol...-us-weekly.htmlNot so fast! Though Bristol Palin raised some eyebrows on Thursday, June 25, with her less-than-celebratory pregnancy announcement, the daughter of Sarah Palin took to her blog to clarify the details surrounding her second pregnancy on Sunday, June 28. PHOTOS: Stars fight back on social "I made a mistake, but it's not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume," she wrote. "This pregnancy was actually planned. Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself. Things didn't go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on." PHOTOS: Cutest celeb baby announcements Palin, 24, was scheduled to get married over Memorial Day weekend to Dakota Meyer, but the pair called off their wedding the week before. "I do not regret this baby," Palin continued. "This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!" PHOTOS: Recent celeb babies She went on to defend herself against those comparing her current situation to her first pregnancy. "I’m not 17 anymore, I am 24. I’ve been employed at the same doctor’s office for over six years now; I own a home; I have a well-rounded, beautiful son," she wrote. "When I realized I was pregnant, I knew I would be completely crucified. But I never even thought of aborting this child, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE. (Sorry to the ghouls at Gawker, who said this baby is an argument FOR abortion. Not happening.)." PHOTOS: Celebrity pregnancy confessions In her initial post, Palin seemed less upbeat about her situation, writing, "I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family." Sign up now for the Us Weekly newsletter to get breaking celebrity news, hot pics, and more delivered straight to your inbox!
