The goal was to not allow Iran to have Nukes. If they didn't want to deal, we would bomb their Nuke factories away.
Don't you think it's ironic that the same people that feel everyone should arm themselves for protection have HUGE issues with other countries arming themselves for their protection? And don't you find it silly that you try to compare an American Citizen with Constitutional Rights to another Country who is a sworn enemy of ours and throws Gays off building tops? That is the definition of Libthingy Logic right there.

JMHO, registered Republican- but don't get this whole thing...we've had the bomb since 45, France, GB, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, NKorea, Isreal, ya think Germans smart enough to have....all those folks have bombs, and we've used it...but Iran can't have one....AND, we should NOT have a treaty about it...what? , your other comment about holding 4 Americans on BS reasons...Look no further than Gitmo...we have HUNDREDS who have been held for over 10yrs plus...BUT, refuse to charge them...is that Middle Ages or what? We are a world power, we have responsibility to be engaged with world, but us making everyplace America is BS in my book....time will tell if Iraq and Afgan stay "Americanized"...I doubt it and we've pissed away trillions....and lastly, our Cuban grande scheme has worked really well for over 60 yrs, what major benefits have we gained by having zip relations with country so close to ours...the Cubans have got to figure out if they want Castro clones forever...we shouldn't even talk with them....REAL SMART...not....sorry for the rant.

You are correct....it isn't LAW, it's an ACT...I was against it then, now, and forever...we should NOT give the power to throw anyone in jail without due process...IF THAT isn't unAmerican, I don't know what is.
