NDST is always fun to watch, but I'm more than pumped for NEXT weekend when it really starts. If you look at the primetime games throughout the first few weekends, there are some really cool matchups

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Louisville/6 Auburn 2:30
Texas/11 Notre Dame 6:30
20 Wisconsin/3 Alabama 7:00

Those are the big ones, but there are some other decent matchups too.

I wouldn't write off Illinois just yet. Cubit used to be West Michigan's coach. He knows about MACtion.

But, but, but I thought Auburn was the second highest rated powerhouses in the SEC only to Bama?

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Road game in one of the best environments in college football, suspensions to a few players, championship hangover, and possibly a divided locker room on who should start (maybe?)

I think 11 is about right. Whenever I pick games, I love to look at the previous week to see how they are. When you don't have that, or the preseason, you kinda feel like you are going out on a limb. Anyone who bets week 1 NFL knows what I am talking about. Too many people think the 2015 Buckeyes wll be the 2014 version. They won't for better, or worse.

With that said, I would still take OSU and the points. I love the running attack, and regardless of who starts at QB you're either getting JT Barrett who has already seen this defense, or Cardale who can beat those big fronts and exotic looks with his big arm. When teams bring the house against you, a quarterback with a cannon will drool at the thought of single coverage downfield, especially with the kind of speed OSU has on the outside.

I can't wait for the game, the scene over there in Blacksburg is going to be incredible.

Hey, who ended up winning that game?

GO GRIZ! nanner

This was a completely different looking team thanks to this new coach...and it worked! I'm pretty sure everyone is still drunk in Missoula, especially because they finally got some rain and cleared a lot of the wildfire smoke out.

Stitt is one of the best offensive coaches in the nation. I hope Illinois' AD makes a quick road trip to Montanta during the season.

I expect OSUs offensive line to dominate a a Tech. Our o-line got embarrassed lat year. That game changed that units mentality for the rest of the season.

Even though I'm riding the Vols bandwagon, I'm pretty sure 90% of the country thinks it's gonna be Ohio State vs Bama in the championship this year.

IF Ohio State wins the natty again, does Urban surpass Saban? Urban is 12 years younger so I believe he'll eventually surpass Saban in titles anyways, just a matter of time.

This is not a pretty game by either team. Stupid late hit penalties and missed FGs by Utah and ugly turnovers by Michigan.

I save stats from the end of the previous season. While it's not going to be the same, it's normally not too far off for most teams.

This young team gelled on both sides of the ball and improved each week through the remaining course of the season.
I was Luke Fickell's harshest critic at the beginning of the season and it was amazing to see his squad climb through the NCAA total defense rankings. Tom Herman did a fantastic job with the offense as well.

I just think VT was up for that game last season and OSU wasn't ready for VT. OSU will be ready for this one.

OSU by 18

If Northwestern had Vendric Marc, I'd give them a chance. He would be the best player on the field.

rooting for NW, but I don't think they have the offense to keep this one close-ish

Thorson is really talented. Justin Jackson is too. Northwestern has zero receiving threats though.
