I can't see us looking at any cuts from this first round, but you never know

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Arenas was a playmaker at Bama. Not the biggest CB but fast and quick.
this is his 3rd team I believe. would not hurt to glance at him. this team is void of field position changers

We already have a punt returner and our depth chart is already full to the point where we are probably cutting someone that we don't want to cut. Arenas doesn't really fit.

NFL.com Cut tracker:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000518343/article/nfl-roster-cuts-tracker

The Titans cut Tebucky Jones. At first glance I thought, "Wow, I can't Tebucky Jones is still in the league." Then I realized it was his son and I felt old.

The Dolphins cut JD Walton, he was a pretty good center for the Broncos several years ago. He got hurt and never really recovered.

My first thought was either the Steelers or Buccaneers.

Word on the street is that when LB Moise Fokou was cut, Moise's reply was "Well, fokou too!". At least that's what I heard.

Fred Jackson just cut by the Bills.

If we're seriously thinking we need another back, then we need to hop all over this. All over it...

Fred has plenty left in the tank IMO!

Yes!

He seriously could be our workhorse back for at least one year or two *if* we wanted to give him that type of load too!

Gotta get on it though. I see a few other teams that probably have already reached out to his agent.

Browns should sign Joseph Fauria (TE), who was cut by the Lions. Sign Jackson also.

He was cut by the Bills for his 34 year old legs..

We don't want to be "that team" that replaces a good back with one that made his name in years past...do we?

j/c:

If we sign Jackson, I don't think the expectation would be to produce like he did last year. It'll be for the RB room and working with Crowell and West. Sure, he'll get playing time but it'll be for the vet factor in those rooms as well. I think they need it.

not really you but in general people seam to think the vets are more important than the coaching staff?

Bango!

Fauria would be a great get. He's huge and has great hands. I'd take him over Housler and Dray everyday of the week.

Is he the TE who killed us two years ago in Cleveland?

Yes. He had three TDs against us. I remember him more from his UCLA days. He hasn't done much in the league, but neither have Dray or Housler.

Yeah, I think a lot of the guys cut early are cut so that they have the most time possible to find a job (i.e. Fred Jackson, Tim Jennings).

I suspect they pushed Wynn out early so as to get him on the practice squad. No other team is going to move on a nameless receiver of his size before seeing what shakes out on Tuesday and future cuts. I suspect a lot of thought goes into when they release certain guys and the benefit to the player himself comes well after a few other considerations. Exceptions of course.

Plenty of other people they could have axed before Wynn. Besides, if they wanted to make it difficult for other teams not to acquire him, he'd be in the last to later round of roster slashes.

I agree with the other(s), I think they did this out of courtesy for the player, maximizing their chances to get picked up by another team.

Be awesome though if no one claims him and we can indeed get him on our PS. Be incredibly awesome, but don't see it happening...

34 is 2 or 3 years past ancient for a modern RB. He may have actually gotten his wish to retire a Bill. Just not in the way he would have wanted. Maybe he gets picked up but I hope it's not us. You need youth at RB. The role of Player-coach is always so over rated by fans.
