I know you have seen this ..i'm posting it anyways.. this is the verse that shows Homosexuality is wrong..honestly shouldn't need the Bible to know being Gay is not right on all aspects.. If everyone was gay we would all cease to exist.
Romans 1:26-27New King James Version (NKJV)
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

as i said refusing Child support payments would not be in violation of a religion.. Yes, it is. My religion. The 42nd Commandment is "Thou shalt not pay child support". Per The Supreme Court, the only necessary qualification for my views being classified as a religion is a show of sincerity. But you're merely dodging the question at this point: In the scenario where I refuse to pay child support, am I being held in contempt because of my religious beliefs, or because I defied a judge's direct order? It's a pretty simple question. There are two possible answers.

as i said refusing Child support payments would not be in violation of a religion.. it's a lame example to try and make a point.. this woman didn't pull her belief out of a hat.. Many people agree with her and show where their belief is coming from .. just because the law saws something it doesn't make it right.. Religion doesn't mean Christian religion. While it might not be against the Christian religion, it could be an order against another religion. It's still not a good example.. there are alot of people that agree with her and those that agree with her know where she derives her opinion from.. if you tried using a religion to get out of child support ,No one would take it serious.. point is just because a judge says you have to do something doesn't make it right.. Lots of people believe being gay is wrong and it has nothing to do with being a bigot

Lots of people believe being gay is wrong and it has nothing to do with being a bigot It's a completely relevant example. In this example, I would be unlawfully defying a judge's order in the name of religious beliefs. And since you appear intent on avoiding the very question that started this debate, I will provide the simple answer: my contempt of court charge would be due to said defiance of a judge's direct order, and not due to my religious beliefs. Whether or not one believes the judge is in the right has no bearing on the reason for the contempt charge. And if the judge's ruling was unlawful, I would stand a good chance of winning upon appeal to a higher court. In the particular instance we're discussing, Kim Davis has run out of such appeals, as her assertion that her religious beliefs trump the responsibilities of her public office or the rule of law is without merit.

You don't seem to be willing or capable of answering any questions presented to you. In fact, I just scrolled through the entirety of page 7 of this thread, and at no point did you directly answer a question posed to you.

what is going to be funny is when she prevails and she will prevail How, exactly, do you suppose she will prevail? She has appealed to local, state and federal courts, as well as the Supreme Court, and all of them have rejected her claims. This will end one of four ways for her: she will stay in jail, she will be impeached, she will resign from her post, or she will comply with court's offered compromise. Smart money says #3 or #4 will happen. There is really no scenario available her to prevail on her current path.

Many of us don't view humans different than animals in terms of behavior. One of my favorite adages is: "When a man is treated like a beast, he says, 'After all, I'm human.' When he behaves like a beast, he says, 'After all, I'm only human.' "

Again, at no point in this entire line of debate have you answered a single question directly. You merely asserted that Kim Davis was jailed due to her religious beliefs, and when it was pointed out that this wasn't true, and that she was jailed for defying the orders of a federal judge, you resorted to accusing everyone else of being incapable of understanding. If you would like us to better understand the issue at hand, you could start by explaining your belief that Kim Davis was not jailed for defying a judge's direct order, but jailed because of her religion?

article here you go.. Another example. I mentioned this elsewhere how Muslims were treated different The ESPN/Schilling thread where you unsuccessfully tried to argue that a company who has a history of suspending people for expressing anti-Christian sentiments would never suspend someone for expressing anti-Christian sentiments? As for this article, these are two completely different scenarios. One is a flight attendant, one is an elected official. One can be fired from her position, one can't. One violated the order of a federal judge, one didn't. One filed a legal complaint that has yet to be addressed, one filed a legal complaint that has failed on every judicial level. And this woman will lose her case, by the way, just like Kim Davis did. She will most likely be offered a compromise similar to what Ms. Davis was offered, but by her employer, not a judge.

From the article. She will not be fired..Stanley , to work out arrangements with the other flight attendant on duty to accommodate passengers’ requests for alcohol. The setup, it said, had worked without incident until Aug. 25, when ExpressJet placed Stanley on administrative leave for 12 months, after which her position may be terminated, according to CAIR. “We have informed ExpressJet of its obligation under the law to reasonably accommodate Ms. Stanley’s religious accommodation request regarding service of alcohol,” Lena Masri, staff attorney for CAIR-Michigan said in a statement. Do I have to read it for you? Hold on If you can. But if you cannot. Let me explain both situations for you. Both of these women believed their religious freedom was infringed upon due to their required services. Both women were punished because of this. And both went to the court system to plead their case. The SC has refused to hear Davis's case, while no court has touched the case for the Muslim religion. LITERALLY NOTHING IS DIFFERENT

Very simple question: Was Kim Davis jailed because she defied a federal judge's direct order, or was she jailed because she is an Apostolic Christian? [/quote]because she violated an order from a judge because the order violated her religious beliefs.. This is every supporter of Ms Davis opinion. What answer did you want.. The judge held her in contempt till she changes her mind on her religious belief. Which she will never do..

because she violated an order from a judge because the order violated her religious beliefs..[/b] And, as I pointed out, one's religious beliefs do not trump the rule of law. If a judge orders me to do something, and I say "I can't, my religion forbids it", my contempt of court charge will not be due to my religious beliefs, but due to my defiance of a court order.

I understand and on a level really appreciate your tactic of using satire to expose the insanity of the stereotypical Rush Limbaugh listener. At times, it frustrates me, as I think it tends to fuel the fire more than it does quell it via pointed parody. But, hats off, there is zero fat on that joke. Well done.

It's like.... I could by the excuse that they need private jets to preach the word of God. Ok, sure.
But they lost me with the 6million + mansions they live in. Nah bruh, that's some slim ball crap right there.

i personally think all religions are full of it.
religion is simply a way to control the masses. and about power and greed.

She's a parasite. And while I understand the judge's decision to jail her in lieu of fines that would ultimately just be paid by crowd funding, I think fines should be tacked on in the amount of her pay as well as the expenses of her jailing for as long as she continues her temper tantrum. It's not fair for the taxpayer to have to foot the bill for her insubordination. I'm watching her being released from jail now. She is gonna give a speech with Huckabee!
