Nice reward for doing skwat. Next camp, about 82 hammies I expect. That way, no bubble! You are in. Lenz had IT in my opinion.

I can understand holding onto pryor as your 53 project. Thats what the last position is there for. I think he will really be judged by how Dwayne Bowe performs. That big contract, the fact he and Bowe were friends, Bowe's performance or lack there of are all important things that arent gonna be judged just by fans but by players as well.

If those top 6 offensive linemen can stay healthy then we may have something, because that's all they kept. None of the 6 OL they cut today really could stand out, and some have had 3 tries, I think Karim Barton and Andrew McDonald have.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Yup, and if Bowe shows up this season and plays well, everyone will forget how Lenz should have made the team, and Bowe did nothing in training camp

Its amazing that we have reached a point where guys like Moore, Bad and Tank are having their spots questioned lol. 4 years ago, guys like Lenz and Pullard would have been starting for us. Also, we have got to the point talent wise that draft picks are getting cut. And it only took 16 years!

Even if Lenz makes the team, he shouldn't play over Hawkins, Gabriel, Benjamin, or Hartline. I can't get too upset about a guy who wasn't going to play very much get cut.
Also, Lenz didn't get cut because Bowe made the team. Bowe was never going to get cut (as much as we discussed it). Lenz got cut because Pryor made the team.

Yeah your right about that. I was really pulling for the kid. I don't get upset very often, so I'm going to enjoy this little diatribe and hold my breath until I turn blue

We drafted 12 players (two went to the IR) even after the draft it was a little obvious that all 12 (or 10 if you want to be technical) wouldn't make the roster. If they all would have made it....it was either one hell of a draft or our roster is really bad. Would have liked to see Pullard make the roster, hopefully we will be able to keep him on the PS.

Especially when you put off addressing the position for two free agency periods and 1.5 drafts.

The Colts cut Duron Carter. We were trying to sign him in the off-season. I wonder if we give him a look. Also, the Colts wide receiver group is pretty deep.

The only two cuttable people I see are TP and Bowe. Everyone else has cut themselves a nice niche. I wouldn't cut TP to get Duron. And Bowe seems to be unmoveable, so I don't see it.

I liked Lenz and that Wynn kid, they were put the effort out but unfortunately there is just no room for them when Hawkins, Gabriel and Benji have the same skill set but more talent.

Isaiah was a 5th round pick I think needs a look.

If it comes down to Lenz vs Pryor at the back end of Bowe-Hartline-Benji-Gabriel-Hawkins ..... I don't blame them one bit for holding on to the guy that has a HUGE upside. Lenz did great - loved watching him. He's never going to be a difference maker at Tp has the upside. No brainer.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Lenz did great - loved watching him. He's never going to be a difference maker at Tp has the upside. No brainer. Yeah, that really is what is comes down to. Pryor has game changer potential. Lenz has "competent receiver" potential. He is a smaller receiver, and has average to below speed. If you keep him to develop, what do you wind up with when he is fully developed? Pryor has superstar or bust type potential that cannot simply be discarded. He has come a huge way in his 1st minicamp as a receiver, and then got hurt. A team in need of superstar type players cannot afford to just ignore him and his talent. His hands are huge. The ball just disappears in Pryor's hands. He is 6'4". He is what .. 225#, but very fast. He has a lot to learn, but there are ways he can help the team from the start. He can work on special teams. He did a nice job on the punt team against the Bears. There is no reason to think that he cannot also be a factor on return teams. He is fast, and can block. He also can block as a receiver. If he gets a few plays down 100%, he can be useful on offense. He is a player who will demand attention from the defense. Will he be a finished project this year? Nope. Can he be useful? Yep.

Not even a lie...and I'm sure even Jesus himself will agree...Us as Browns fans can collectively draft better than the Browns..our yearly mock drafts point to it...that's just sad considering we pour our heart, time, and money into this franchise...why we will never be a super bowl bound team...Horrible drafting, inferior coaching, and a system at top that is as dysfunctional as most 911 calls

He also can block as a receiver. I haven't watched enough of Pryor to know whether or not he can block, but this is a good point. As I said earlier, I think we're attempting to be a run first offense buoyed by a stout defense. I don't know that we have the horses to run that race, but I understand the logic. Our QB and WR units are arguably the worst in the NFL. Pryor and Lenz are fringe players, and you go with the upside that's most specific to the suit you're trying to tailor. We have better versions of Lenz on the roster. Pryor makes sense. I feel his ceiling in the NFL is as a gadget option on a well-balanced offense. It's up to us to provide the latter so that he can work effectively.

It doesn't matter if you can play wide receiver, anybody with that size/speed combo forces a safety over the top on a go route.

Why is it Farmer has to do it the hard way find a difference maker at WR.? The rest of the AFC North teams draft actual WRS coming out of college Bryant..Jones...Perrin But Farmer is trying to make this great project out of Pryor.

He is a home town kid for the OSU faithful. There is an undeniable skill set with Pryor. How it translates to receiver? we will just have to wait and see, but you gotta be atleast intrigued with the kid. Personally, i think we have two potential stars at receiver in Gabriel and Hartline. The rest will be replaced in another year.

When you can't draft, you have to find other ways. Don't worry though, this is in all likely hood his last year as a GM.
