Well, it's FINALLY game week ... the week we all wait for (well, besides the draft) ... so who wins? Can we finally win an opening game? Are the Jets beatable? Make your pick ...
Honestly, I don't know what Browns team to expect. We looked good at Tampa, but I still don't trust McCown and our offense. Luckily, the Jets aren't a playoff team IMO and we'll be in the game.
But I still think we lose

hmmmm.... I think our OL will handle their DL. Run it up the middle, right at em. Set up the play action and get a short/intermediate pass game going. Our defence is going to make an early statement, that statement being "we are kicking asses this year!!"

The Jets offense does not appear to be a threat at all. Their D may give us a bit of trouble especially with lack of playmakers we have on our side. With that said I think the Browns will be able to put three good drives together and the D should be able to turnover the ball at least one time.

For some reason I have a bad feeling it's going to take a few weeks for the D to round into form, if they do at all. I just don't see a dominating D to start the season. I think Pettine ran a day care as a training camp, and the Browns will pay the price for that at the beginning of the season. We won't be able to match other teams intensity.
I feel the D will get further deflated as the O is not able to manufacture points.
Jets 13 - 3, McCown throws 3 picks.
"Manziel should start" dominates airwaves beginning Sunday night.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

I think both teams are pretty bad. I was expecting to play against Geno. With Fitzpatrick being their starter now I have no idea what to expect. I think Geno would have handed us a win, Fitz vs. McCown should be an interesting matchup of similarly subpar QBs.

The jets were 5th against the run last season. Now with thier new secondary it is going to be damn near impossible to score points. On offense they are much more talented then the Browns. A good o line with decent running backs. Eric decker is better then any wr we have,then there is Brandon Marshall. Going to be a long day

I just spent about 30 minutes searching for predictions. Every site I saw had the Jets winning. As well, the Browns have lost 10 openers in a row. Just out of spite, I'm predicting a win.

If it weren't the season opener I might predict a win. Considering the Browns are 1-15 in season openers since '99, I'm going to go with the usual story.

Browns up 17 to 7 going into the 4th.
Then in the last 5 minutes the "Jests" manage to get two inconceivably easy TD's in a Bad News Bears fashion that only the Browns could produce.
Only difference being we as fans never get to see the end of our Bad News Bears movie.

Browns 27 - 13. Crowell with 2 goal line TD's. McCown manages well and keeps the chains moving. Defense is solid and forces 2 turnovers.

I always root for the Browns to win but I'm keeping my money in my pocket. There was a time I could put $5 (heads-up) on every game and be money ahead at the seasons end. Not true anymore  Browns win if Tebow is Jets QB. Other wise it's anyone's guess.

If the game were on a neutral field, we might tie. Since the Jets are the home team, they win.

The Jets have a 16-3 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter (3 FGs and 1 TD). The Browns get a TD early in the 4th but then the Jets get a 4th FG for a 9 point lead and the eventual win.
I'll be at a Bears/Packers viewing party. Oddly enough, the Browns/Jets game might be a better game to watch. The Packers are going to KILL the Bears. Ugh, I can't stand the Packers. They're my 2nd least favorite team next to the Steelers.

I believe these two teams are evenly matched. That said, the home team usually gets a 3 point advantage. Given all of that......

I don't know about a prediction - other than I think we win! What I do know is that I am so damn glad that it's finally FOOTBALL SEASON !!! I really hope that New England spank Pit on Thursday ... and that will start my weekend off great. We can finally stop bickering about the offseason moves - and move on to bickering about what we see on the field !

Their defense looks to better than ours at this point. They have better WR playmakers but both QBs are nothing to get excited about. A boring game to say the least.

Saw a few articles where folk were gonna be missing a few weeks back on NFL.com. Sure I did. I remember thinking "well that's good news for week 1" couldn't tell you who though. Might of been all the started on their DL
