HOLY TOLEDO

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Hey Bret, don't look past my unranked Rockets! They just beat you in your own house! 12 points.....and we gave you 2 at the end.

Yup. Exactly. Perhaps, instead of worrying about Ohio State's schedule, he'd have been better served worrying about his own team attempting to beat the patsy they brought in from the MAC.

Oh, that's right, Toledo showed up for not only the $1 million pay day, but also to ........ya know, PLAY the game?

Arkansas was ranked 18th why? Because of the reputation of the SEC? Well, Brett, Arkansas, and the sec have a bit of egg on their face right now. Brett has an ostrich egg on his. Arkansas has an emu egg, and the sec a chicken egg.

Smackdown from a team they "should have" dominated, according to rankings.

Hey, the MAC is looking pretty decent.

BG over Maryland, big, today as well.

Wonder if Toledo makes the top 25. After all, they beat the supposed #18 team.

OSU is going to get a scare sometime before Sparty comes to Columbus, I just hope they're ready. Hawaii had a really nice game plan today. I'm sure the quick turnaround didn't help, especially for the guys on the line, but I expected better out of the offense today. They'll lose some votes come Monday.

One good thing is Alabama scored a point less and got scored on..

I would hope the OSU shut out keeps the votes up

I realize OSU played in a tough situation tough road win, coming back home late, NCAA mandated day off, etc.. The offense looked pretty shaky and as I mentioned on another thread, from what I saw I don't want any of that "Fail for Cardale" IMO.. he needs to work on his craft more before I think he's even ready for the NFL, nevermind being a top pick.

People wanted to draft Troy Smith in the first round.

I don't see why thats so strange.. he was a very competent college QB, he won the Heisman.. Browns fans have been looking for a winner at QB for a long time.. heck, he's outplayed quite a few QB's we've started in Cleveland and he's got a 78.5 NFL QB rating.. Manziel would KILL for that.

Granted he's not what we need, but I can understand why people would have been willing to let him have a shot at it back in 2007.. he was only a 5th round pick too.. Course that year the only guy I had eyes for was Joe.

I found it really funny that he said, "You can't get the ball to all the talented people. And that's the problem." considering he drafted 3 WRs in the top 10 in 3 years.

Wanting to draft him and wanting to draft him in the first round are two different things.

Right. My point was that people will want to draft Cardale Jones no matter what, because he is from Ohio State (and Cleveland).

I think I've figured out how to get away with shooting down someone in public.. take out Millen with a head shot on air.. then have the jury / venue be seated in Columbus. That kinda works with Mark May too. Both would be ruled justifiable.

That and he's a cliche machine, which I know most of these color commentators are... I really don't get why they keep trotting him back out there. He kept his job in Detroit for how many extra years? Maybe he's good at getting dirt on people, haha.

Just a few things:

1. Oregon needs an identity change. If they have serious dreams of winning a natty, they need to get stronger physically. Strong + Fast > Fast, it's just that simple. Ohio State beat the hell out of them with Zeke last year.

2. As bad as the offense was at times for Ohio State. The defense dominated. Hawaii had a couple of successful plays, but the defense shut them down.

fell asleep early, but I could tell Oregon couldn't beat MSU. Oregon gets out-physicaled against any big time program

Didn't realize this, but Shawn Oakman did a 40 inch box jump with 140 lbs in weights. Keep in mind he's 6'9 280, but ripped as hell.

I don't understand why he went back to school. He was a surefire first round pick.

If Oakman runs a 4.7 40, he should get more hype than Clowney. Oakman actually produces in college on a consistent basis.

Also, feel free to disagree, but Will Fuller and Pharoh Cooper are the 2 best wide receivers in college football.

Bosa, Nkemdiche, Ramsey, Smith, and Jack can all come out to out. Crazy draft class for defense.
