Belle, our 14yo Border Collie. The most intelligent dog one could hope for. It really seemed that her only purpose in life was to please us. She was so good, I honestly can't remember ever getting angry with her. She was so easy to train. It was painfully sad to see her body increasingly not respond in the way she wanted it to these past few months.. What made the decision really difficult was that her cognitive functioning, hearing and eyesight were all intact....and it really seemed that she wanted to say something to us this morning. She truly was a great friend and family member. We've lost other dogs, but this one really hurt.
