I thought maybe Flip was covering while he was on bye from the Browns. well, SOMEBODY had to play like a Brown this weekend And of course it had to be the coaching staff this week...

i agree with you, i just shedding light on understanding.
it's a big deal that they need to keep this under wrap, especially going pro.
but we gotta remember that they are still kids, they gonna make mistakes.

zeke probably just doesn't care anymore. our shot at the playoffs might be over. and he will be going pro anyway.
it doesn't make it right still, but the entire team is pissed that they aren't gonna go out with a bang. He should care. There are players on that team that will be coming back next year. Undermining your coaches isn't good for them. It also is something that NFL teams will be looking at when evaluating you. It's not going to keep someone from taking Elliot, but you just don't want that out there. So much was at stake this game.. you think the lack of touches this week hurt Zeke's Heisman Chances? Fair enough that he shouldn't call out the coaches - anyone who watched the game saw the biggest *whiff* by a staff this week...during the halftime they were talking about how Urban hated the Vanilla offense they had been running...which begs the question - Why didn't he take it over then?

but we gotta remember that they are still kids, they gonna make mistakes. absolutely. I know Urb will have a talk with him. It's a dumb mistake. He got asked a tough question 10 minutes after having his heart ripped out. I feel his pain though. Ohio State did nothing to spread that defense out. You shouldn't have thrown it 45 times, but to not mix in a few slants to maybe open up a few options? The play calling today was terrible. They tried to play slow plodding big ten football and got beat by it, instead. The defense was horrible too. How can you let that slow QB right for all those yards?

I think Zeke saw his chance at the Heisman float away today. I heard his post-game comments and his frustration was clear. I can't say I disagree with anything he said, though. Play calling was abysmal.

His presser after the game suggests he's not ready for the Heisman. What a whiner.

According to the Ohio State Radio Network, Elliott had the following to say after the game. “The coaching staff didn’t put us in position to win,” Elliott said. “That’s a team (Michigan State) we should beat.” According to reports, which BTN Studio Host Dave Revsine spoke about as well, Elliott also added, “this is my last game in The Shoe. There’s no chance I’m coming back.” http://btn.com/2015/11/21/ezekiel-elliot...es-coming-back/ Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones also added a tweet following the game, which implied he will be leaving OSU early as well. - Cardale Jones @CJ12_ Last time walking down them steps and into The Shoe, wish the results were different tho

I'm sure this has been talked about, but 29 yards passing in the first half.
I know the weather was bad in the first half, but that played right into msu hands. Running JT all day into the teeth of that defense. Throw the ball.

Just for the record, I am also super disappointed you guys lost..
Next week should be a great game..
But whomever wins has to hope PSU can beat Sparty.. I doubt that..

This team is softer than charmin. They looked like the same team that got spanked by Va Tech last year.

This team is softer than charmin. They looked like the same team that got spanked by Va Tech last year. That is exactly how I felt. Giving up huge plays, horrible offsides at the most inn opportune times, I felt like I was watching the browns. Michigans defense is going to destroy us next week if we play like that.

I know it's been said more than just a few times that losing Tom Herman hurt this team and I would agree. Urban really needs to find a legit OC. These guys have no feel for the flow or tempo of the game and it's been that way ALL year. Have a good series running the ball? Throw three straight incompletions next series. Can't figure out ways to get Braxton involved organically in the game? Put him in the wildcat or run that stupid forward lateral play to him.
I'm sorry, but this loss hangs solely on the coaching staff. Too many things have to happen now that we might as well start preparing for the Outback Bowl....

either way, how they recover and play next week will be very telling then. Hopefully just emotion with so much hope on repeating. I like Urban's response that it is easy to coach when you are winning and this will be his toughest challenge since he got here... Dang, he is 48-4 in four years, won a National Championship. Won the Sugar, lost the Orange bowl. Won 2Big 10 Championship games so far. All of that with being undefeated his first year with no bowl eligibility... In context, winning 23 in a row and losing yesterday - can't complain and is funny to hear that he has 'lost the team' from the media. If losing a team results in the above accomplishments - can Pet please lose the Browns?

I totally don't get the 'lost the team' thing. Play calling certainly was high school at best but losing the team?
Nah...

Some of you supposed fans make me sick.
How many freaking games in a row, as an Ohio state fan did you all just get to watch in a row?? and all this whining and crap talking about the team?
Its a game, I know we arent used to it, but you do lose games once in awhile.

Still have a Big Ten Title to play for next week No we don't. Michigan State does now. Got that right. Didn't read the other posts about the game Saturday, so not yet sure what everyone else thought. Just scrolled to the end. The game was hard to watch. It was like watching a Tressel game, but without the execution. It's not like there weren't chances for the Bucks to sack up and take the control of the game. They didn't. Sparty didn't go lights out, either. Came down to who wanted it less instead of who wanted it more. Meyer has faced Dantonio twice in the Shoe and was outcoached both times. I fully expect OSU to get punished in the polls. I feel that they've been waiting got OSU to give them a legitimate reason to do so, and they did. There are teams that can survive tough losses to ranked schools, and teams that can survive ugly OT wins against crappy mid-major or FCS schools. None of those teams are in the Big 10. The Big 10's best shot at reaching the playoffs is Iowa. Sparty only has 1 loss, but its Nebraska. That is a bad loss. OSU has 1 loss, a "good" loss, but is not going to the Big 10 title game. UM has two losses and if a two loss team ever makes it to the playoffs it will be Notre Dame, because they are Notre Dame.

--Man, some of you are out of line w/all the whining. You sound like spoiled children. Teams do lose once in awhile.
--I think we should have thrown the ball more when we had the wind at our backs.
--Zeke crying really upset me. I really liked him as a player, but making those comments publically made me lose respect for him.
--Cardale? LOL.......I'm glad it's your last game at the Shoe. You might get a job there as a vendor, though.
--What was Zeke's yards per carry average on Saturday? Running him wasn't really working.
--With that said, the play calling was atrocious. I think it's really important that we get a dynamic OC next year.
--What upset me the most about the game is that we were totally dominated at the LOS on BOTH sides of the ball. While the play calling was bad, the real reason we lost was because Sparty beat the living crap of us up front. It sure looks like our players read their headlines too much and are looking like fat cats that weren't able to handle a really tough team.
--Very disappointed w/the loss. I couldn't even post about it until now. Last year's run was so much fun. It's sad to see it come to an end.

I'm not whining, just stating the facts that our offense played like garbage. They did, that is not whining.
I loved the run, and it had to come to an end and it did not surprise me it was against Sparty. As you said, they manhandled us in the trenches. I was very, very nervous about this game and it held true - we really haven't been all that impressive this year and it finally caught up to us. I just hope we can beat scUM so I don't have to hear it from all of my Michigan friends, of which I have a lot since I grew up in Toledo.
I agree with your comments for the most part, though to give the ball to Zeke only TWICE in the second half is just stupid play calling. Not sure if that was on JT keeping it on a read option or on the coaches, but Zeke is one of our best offensive threats and you need to get him the ball more than TWICE even if it appears to not be working.

I didn't clarify. I didn't think you were one of the whiners. It was a disappointing loss, so of course, we're all going to be upset. There were just several comments that went over the edge. No big deal.
I agree w/you that the play calling was bad. It has been all year. And I don't see why we didn't throw more when we had the wind at our backs. They were dominating us up front. We should have loosened them up. I was hoping to see more of the crossing routes, like we did on the pass to Marshall in the first half.
Oh well...........very sad.

So, what's everyone's prediction for today? You may post one, unless you are ThatGuy... (just kidding, I know you root for TTUN)
If we actually get our offense going, the Buckeyes win.
I'm going to say 24-21 Buckeyes.
