That's my biggest problem with AD. Lebron just bull dozed him.

our problem all year is we don't have a consistent shooter, Kyrie is the best shooter on our team by a wide wide margin, Delly and Mo might be the two worst individual defenders ever..christ they can't stay in front of anyone. We need Kyrie and Shump back, but I still think we make a trade with the exception to add either a Rim protector depending on Moz and if he ever gets his head out of 4th point of contact or a shooter. JR took some really really stupid shots tonight. Lebron needs to take the 3pt shot out of his arsenal...well i should say rotation, its never been in his arsenal, he shoots himself out of rhythm sometimes...him driving and finishing or driving and dishing should be 95% of his game. This isn't a case of us sandbagging regular season...we're just not that good right now. I promise you Golden state wouldn't lose to the teams we have been. They aren't sandbagging the regular season either. They are doing what we thought cleveland would do this year. This so far is a replay of last year with the early struggles.

Something I was very encouraged by: Our free throw shooting. It was phenomenal tonight and something I hope is a trend.

No disrespect to Anthony Davis, but Lebron James is the best basketball player in the world. Pelicans are completely helpless right now. You forgot about Steph Curry.

I think you're a bit of an alarmist 90% of the time for no reason, and a lot of times you sound like you are being negative just to prepare yourself in case things turn out bad...so I'm not sure if I am acting like you or not when I say this...I think the Cavs are in a little bit of trouble here. They shouldn't be losing to the Pelicans. I watched most of the first half tonight. My observations from the first half is they don't really play focused basketball. There's no real cohesion on offense. They don't have an offensive identity from what I can tell. And they don't play like they want it, especially on D. Kind of just going through the motions. They may be able to get away with that in most years, but not with GS this year.
Really disappointing start to the season.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

This latest loss was a good example of what bothers me w/this team.
--Our on the ball defense was terrible. That kills our defense. Here is an example. The Pelican PG easily blows by our guy, TT switches and forces an errant shot. Of course, no one rotates to TT's guy and he gets the rebound and slams it home. Awful initial on-ball defense compromises the entire team.
--LBJ walked back on defense more times than I could count.
--LBJ settled for late shot clock 3s far too often.
--Then, LBJ starts playing hard in the 4th quarter to bring us back. He was so focused. Playing so hard. Unstoppable.
--We lose in OT because they were better playing as a team than we were.

LBJ took over in to the fourth, but noone helped him.
How can you not defend a three at a time you know they're looking for a three? That should have never resulted in going into OT.
Then in OT, everyone went ice cold. Hard to have watched.

Really disappointing start to the season. I'm not an alarmist at all. Basketball is just a sport I know very well having played and coached it for many years. I just make observations, if they are negative, its because of what is happening isn't very good and has me concerned. I also make points when things go well. Just not alot of that happening right now..If we were in the west we'd be 7-8 seed right now if we got in at all. We are very lucky to be playing in the east. That being said, I'm not worried yet until we get fully healthy, but I am concerned with what I've seen so far with who has been playing. I'm still not sold on blatt. I think he and Lue have alot to do with how bad we look at times with his rotations and sets..no reason to leave mo on the bench when we were having trouble with scoring. He can create his own shot and get to the rim..Delly can't...neither can defend so you take the offense. Delly's defense is the reason the game went to OT, but I don't fault Delly, he's being asked to play a bigger role than he will when we get kyrie and shump back..he's done well for the most part, still has issues for sure, but for a 3rd PG you can't ask for much more. I'm more concerned right now about team defense and how horrible mosgov is..mosgov is just a guy right now..atleast with TT you know you're getting rebounding and hustle, mosgov is really struggling, i said it in the beginning of the year..Blatt needs to stop trying to get him to play through it...he's really lost right now..give him a few weeks off. Tonights game i think will be a blowout one way or another..I just get that feeling for it..either we're going to come out on fire or they are. whiteside vs mosgov is going to be ugly. I kinda hope TT or andy get the start since i think they are better man defenders I was thinking about something last night...Can anyone remember the last time we won and opening tip?

Warriors win again. Curry: 44 points (14/24 from the field, nine (!) three pointers), 2 rebounds, and seven assists.

Well.............LeBron played hard for one quarter last night. No wonder he needed an entire night off. Why the heck would he wanna play against his former team in their arena anyway.
Oh..............and I don't use purple.

Man, do we need Kyrie and Shump back.... This team just has no offensive rhythm without those guys. We seemed to have develop some earlier in the year, but we lost it almost as quickly. Starting out down 12+ for the first quarter doesn't help....

This team has lost its identity it seems, our Guards aren't very good and the TT contract is going to be an albatross. Kyrie and shump is sorely needed...just someone else that can shoot and get to the rim. I love watching kyrie and damian go at it.. I still don't think this is the team come may. I think we are going to make a trade. I hope we don't have that 14 million worth of exception and not do anything. I could see one of our bigs moved for sure...log jam there

I think the Cavs might have something with this small ball lineup in the future:
Kyrie Shump JR Lebron Love

Kyrie Shump JR Lebron Love For short periods, yes. LeBron would have to play the five though, not Love.
