Saw some of the debate, honestly, there isn't a person in the Republican race that I could vote for. Looney toons. Each and every one of them..
I don't want Hilary Clinton in the white house, but if the Republicans don't get their acts together, that's just what's going to happen.

other than rand paul, there's not a guy/woman up there that doesn't remind me of that snake, dick cheney.
pretty much the entire debate was about the middle east, i'm sitting there like "ok, when are they gonna talk about jobs and such?"
the way they talked about war though.....that's why i think they're all clones of dick cheney.
wanting to go to war so bad just so the business's that they have their hands in get award government contracts, watch the cash flow roll in.
people can say what they want about clinton, but at the end of the day, even if she sucks, she's still better than anybody standing on that stage tonight. nobody talked about specifics, only blame game, especially Carly. she has no business standing up there at this point.
I'm tired of guys like christie talking tough about the military and running his mouth when he needs to be running on the treadmill.
and yes, thats a shot, because this guy would never get into the military at his size, nor has he ever attempted to.
and why is that a shot? because-can't believe i'm saying this- mike huckabee had it right: our biggest problem is a health problem, not a healthcare one. he named off the biggest diseases that kill americans in this country in the debate prior to this, and the first guy that popped up in my head was Chris Christie. the epitome of what Huckabee was talking about.
i combined this debate with what 40 likes to call some republicans as RINO's, and the first two that popped up in my mind was Kasich and Paul.
and that had me thinking.....it use to be that this country, the people, the politicians, were all centrist. you either leaned a bit left, or a bit right.
Kasich and Paul lean to the right, but now we've become so extreme in this country, that if you aren't far right, 40 and others will call you RINO's. yes, you have to be a radical right winger in order to be considered a conservative or republican. thats why those guys aren't gaining any traction. they aren't hardcore enough.
back to the military/middle east aspect.
the entire time any of them opened their mouths about the middle east, i keep going "ISIS just got a thousand recruits. whoa, they got another grand, ooo!! 10k!!"
i dunno man....i hate that democrats wanna live in a puppies and rainbows scenario, but you know what? i rather try for a country like that, than a country constantly engaged in warfare because "MURIKA".

and they keep saying obama destroyed the military.
i'm sitting here like "how?" we just launched the most expensive ship on the planet.
we are the strongest military on the face of this earth. technology has evolved. the days of lining up troops on the front line are over with, especially because we aren't fighting governments, we're fighting guys with toyota pickup trucks.
it seems like they don't want to evolve, they wanna be stuck in the "glory" days of old ass weapons and storming the beach of Normandy.
it's funny how islamic terrorist are the biggest threat to this nation, yet the biggest killer comes from central/south america and drugs, cartels, and kidnapping, but nobody wants to deploy troops there, right?
it's money in the middle east for them. i think every last one of them are snakes, and i won't vote for them.

and then this whole crap in general about what trump said with muslims, and then conservatives saying "Well, Carter did it with iranians!!"
this is how i know they have no idea what they're talking about.
first, Iran is an enemy, and it's perfectly legal to ban people from a specific country from coming in.
however, banning muslims is ILLEGAL. we can't do that, the constitution doesn't allow it.
on top of that, we have a problem with arab muslims. what about the muslims in Indonesia, or the phillipines? we don't have a problem like that with african muslims.
stupid stupid stupid.
but hey, ISIS is thanking the GOP for that wonderful propaganda film. good job guys.

if it wasn't for his brother, he'd be leading. I'm sticking with my first comment, as of this moment, (and it could change I suppose) but I see nobody in either party that excites me even a little. And someone at the RNC better wake the hell up. These candidates are making a joke of the Grand Ole Party and all that it's stood for. And while we're at it, the DNC needs to do the same thing. Jokes, every damn one of them are complete and utter jokes

I think I'm a Cruz guy, but I could easily support Rubio. He might even be more "electable" than Cruz, especially vs Clinton. Its early.

I'll give my less then penny's worth of opinion...I hate trump always have..but he is saying things I MOSTLY agree with. Cruz IDK if he would be a good president but I think would be a good vp...and better yet I'd love to see him get appointed to the Supreme Court...and just say forget the presidency stuff altogether. Bush sucks..wouldnt matter to me who he is related to or how it would help if he wasnt related to..he just sucks. Rubio..his immigration policy I dont like and to be honest I dont know why I just wouldn't vote for the guy unless its between him and Hillary/Bernie then he gets my vote. Christie..while if I didnt know him in the debates and heard what he said I liked it..buuutt..that blow hard I will not vote for..I'll just stay home and say f-it if he ends up with the nomination. Carson..Idk what it is with that guy..he creeps me out. Surgeon General ok?? president nah I dont think so. The rest of them I havent really cared enough to make a decision/opinion other then I dont think they will be there in the end anyway. The 1 thing I like about Trump...He is pissing off the GOPe and I love that..just wish it couldve been someone other then Trump that could/did do it. To anyone that thinks Hillary the liar and to be frank Bernie freaking Sanders is going to win this because of Trump well..I guess anything is possible but I dont find it probable at all. Got to love politics..everyone has an opinion and just like buttholes they usually stink Mine included

I actually don't have a problem with Bush. I'd vote for him over Trump. I've been impressed by Rubio. However, I agree with you about his immigration policy.

Candy...I won't delve into this topic very far but...You and the other fella said about Bush are honestly the only people I've heard/read say that. I talk with a bunch of different people different parts of the country and not 1 said they would vote for him..and only a couple said it was because of George. It very may be the company I keep/talk to but man no one likes the guy as president.. From what I understand and I could be wrong...the guy was a decent enough Governor but thats where it ends...I will end with this thought...I do think a Governor would make a better president then someone from oh lets say the Senate...its a long process so I guess we shall see JMHO

i'm guessing you haven't been following along since all of them announced their bid for nomination.
the VERY first thing the people and media were talking about is "do we need another bush? look how bad the second bush was!!"
seriously, the was the FIRST thing that came out of people's mouths. and then when he defended his brothers war in iraq, that's when his polls numbers sank like the titanic.

personally, i think Bush is a decent dude.
i dunno if i'd ever vote him (read: no) but he's aware.
what do i mean "Aware"? i hope nobody takes this as race baiting, but what i mean is that they guy is married to a mexican woman. he speaks spanish. Rubio likes to talk a good game on immigration, but at the end of the day, Bush has the best ideas for it. you KNOW his wife schooled him on the crap that mexicans have to go through on a daily basis. first hand knowledge. so while he supports tougher immigration policies, he also understands you can't just go around breaking up families. it doesn't work like that, it has NEVER worked like that.
other than defending his dumbass brother's foreign policy (he only think i like george on was Afghan, screw that country) my biggest beef with Jeb is supporting Common Core.
screw that system.

George Bush also bowed to the Saudi King, because a roll as president is to show customs and courtesy in a country that you visit.
this is why i didn't take a word this guy said seriously.
i find it extremely hypocritical the people constantly cry about obama's "lack of leadership", but then turn around and cry more when he does something he believes in, calling him "king" and "does what he wants".
so yea, i can't take him or anybody else for that matter seriously. that includes the people on this board who do this constantly.
lol, bowing to the saudi king. man, american's have no concept of customs and courtesies that world leaders show each other when they visit a foreign country.
literally the dumbest crap to complain about.
but honestly, i'm not surprised. hell the british are just as bad. but american tourist do this all the time.
"i don't need to respect anybody's culture cause i'm american". such an embarrassment.

i know.
i was just commenting on the video.
at this point i should just stop posting in this thread. everytime i think of the GOP debate, i think of Chris Christie pretty much wanting to go to WW3.
then means our sons and daughtes, not his. understand that. nobody standing up there will send their own son's and daughters to fight a war against russia if they can help it. it'll be ours.
at this point, i'm sick of war, i'm sick of bloodshed. maybe my 4 deployments influences my thought process, but i don't want anybody sons and daughters on this board dying over there.
because it will be for absolutely nothing. understand that. your kid's death won't mean a damn thing. except to fill the pockets of all those politicians who have business's awarded government contracts, while our country goes into deeper and deeper debt to pay for the wars.

Believe it or not That thought haunts me everyday of my life..I deployed several times..didnt agree with why but I volunteered and it was my job.
I tried my best to get my sons to go to school instead of the military..and I believe in serving..I just didnt want a flag instead of my sons.
But they listened to to many stories between me and my brothers and was hell bent on serving.
If it is to stop a true threat to our country I could handle it..but if its over the usual bs of our government well I dont think Id handle that real well...but I have to remember they was informed good and bad what the military had to offer and they made their own decision to enlist..so there is that.

Something mentioned in the comments section of the video: U.S. confidence in protection from attack lowest in over a decade | Reuters http://www.reuters.com/article/us-california-shooting-poll-idUSKBN0TU2AW20151211Confidence in the U.S. government to protect its citizens from militant attacks has fallen to its lowest in more than a decade after a pair of suspected militant Islamists gunned down 14 people at a holiday party in California, a poll released on Friday found. Only 55 percent of respondents said they had "a fair amount" or "a great deal" of confidence that authorities could protect the country from further attacks, according to data collected by Gallup on Dec. 8-9, just days after the San Bernardino massacre. The finding represents a drop of 12 percentage points since June and extends the gradual erosion in confidence that began soon after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks by militant Islamists in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. It is the lowest reading since Gallup began asking the question, following the 2001 attacks. The poll found that Americans have become much more fearful of future attacks, with 67 percent believing they were "very likely" or "somewhat likely." The figure, which represents a 22 point spike since June, is the highest since early 2003, soon after the U.S. invasion of Iraq. In the weeks after 9/11, fear of an imminent attack reached a high point of 85 percent. The San Bernardino attack, and a massacre in Paris last month that killed 130, have thrust the issue to the forefront of the race for the Republican presidential nomination and prompted President Barack Obama to outline his strategy in a televised address earlier this week. "Confidence in the government's ability to keep them safe may not be as much a blaming of government ineptitude as it is a better understanding of the challenging nature of the threats now hiding within the U.S.," Gallup said on its website. The husband and wife team suspected in the San Bernardino killings defied the image of typical attackers. Syed Rizwan Farook, a native American with a middle-class job, lived quietly with his Pakistani-born wife Tashfeen Malik and their infant daughter. Their militant leanings apparently went undetected by authorities until after their well-planned attack, police said. Concern over so-called "lone wolf" attacks has paralleled the rise of Islamic State over the past year. Experts say the movement has successfully used social media to attract recruits to its cause. The poll involved a random sample of 1,013 adults, interviewed by telephone. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points, with 95 percent confidence. (Reporting By Frank McGurty; Editing by Andrew Hay)

Y-town the guy that sent me the video is a die hard ?democrat so I was a little surprised he said he liked this guy's message.
It was geared more towards Trump in our conversation but it did catch my attention...and just wanted to share.
Put me in the crowd that thinks there are more attacks coming..and I'm not depending on the freaking government to save me either. My faith in them is small...but I do recognize they stop a lot of it buuuuttt....

yup, you're right.
"You need me (and Jack Bauer) on that front line!"
We DO hear about a few, though- but they're always the ones they WANT us to hear about...
...which is perfectly fine with me. If I have someone like Jack Bauer in my life, it's because some truly mess-up stuff is happening around me.

So yes Daman I understand that completely
