I agree with the second amendment and the right to bear arms. But they are no less a special interest group lining the pockets of politicians than big pharma, the insurance companies and fossil fuels.

Reset: Christie and Fiorina dropped out, so its down to Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Carson, Bush, and Kasich. I wish they could come up with a debate format where every candidate answers the same question with some specificity. This group should be cut down to 2-3 candidates in a few weeks.

That would make sense and be fantastic, so it will never happen.

I would think that Carson will be out if he finishes 5th or 6th in the next couple of primaries. I also believe that Bush will find it hard to justify his campaign to all of his high dollar donors if he finishes 4th or worse again, despite outspending everyone else.

I don't think that we'll be down to 2-3 .... but I do see this field being down to 4 within the next few primaries. At that point, there will be a reset of sorts, and it will be interesting to see who the money flows to at that point.

People say that Trump is somehow inevitable at this point, but I don't know if I believe that. He might be, but let's not forget that he got only 35% in New Hampshire. That was impressive compared to the rest of the field, but it also shows a real divide among Republicans. As the field dwindles, it will be interesting to see whether his support grows, or whether support for another candidate grows among those who supported these candidates who have dropped out.

He took out a loan for his 2012 senatorial campaign that was repaid. That doesn't put him in anyone's pocket or make him "bought and paid for".

Putin is a former KGB killer and, IMO, a Neo-Soviet who would like to revive the old USSR. When Trump talks about Putin, I don't get the feeling he's complimenting "an enemy"; what I'm hearing is genuine admiration.
