people just are not ready for socialism?
Yet, they want Authoritarianism? Hmmm.... Well, the difference there is that you are making up the authoritarianism - you believe that is what the other candidates are, and that is fine as I can see where that viewpoint comes from. While I don't necessarily agree that is the case, Bernie is a self admitted socialist with a whacked out tax plan. This is not the time of year to get me started on taxes as I just filed my return and made my first quarterly payments, lol. I already get sick when I send in the check, under Bernies plan I'd be depressed for weeks. Look, I do not like ANY of these candidates AT ALL. However, the absolute LAST thing I will ever vote for is a socialist. I'm greedy and want to keep my money, might as well just say it cause I'll get hammered for that anyhow. We need someone that is in the middle as that is where most people stand IMO. I've stated many times I like some of Bernies ideas, his implementation plan is just God awful. Modest tax increases with massive government cuts across the board - if that was what Bernie had in mind to pay for his ideas I may actually listen.

Well if you consider less Political Correctness, more Common Sense and a good measure of Self Discipline as Authoritarianism, I guess the answer would be yes.

I agree he isn't good at getting his message across. Plus, with all due respect to him he does say the same thing over and over. I think the last debate was difficult for him and Clinton won it hands down.
However, if the results in NY are close he will take a lot of momentum into the next primaries. I still can't see him winning PA. Maybe he is just fine with getting his message across and people just are not ready for socialism? I know a lot of Sanders followers (not just on this board) think everyone that doesn't like his message is a moron, but maybe it is just the people saying socialism is NOT what America is about. For now. Sadly, it is only a matter of time before the freeloaders outnumber those that pay the bills.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

So far Clinton has gained 31 delegates above what Bernie got out of New York... Not as bad as it could have been, but he lost his momentum and there is a very very thin path for him now.
Next week will probably end his chances altogether. So sad to see a once in a lifetime candidate beat by the system, the media and lots of STUPID STUPID VOTERS.
I can't even begin to tell you how disenfranchised I feel. I will never vote for Hillary that's for damn sure. The Dems can go sit on a cactus.
(cleaned up my true thoughts there).
Guess I'm staying home in November. No choices between Crazy and Crooked. Same result either way, more of the same ole crap. War, Hard Economy, and a decaying middle class regardless of who gets in. I'm just disgusted and ashamed to be an American right now.

And that's your problem.
Bernie supporters go "lolz so dumb if no vote for Bernie".
What's up with people on this board thinking they're better than other people?

Exactly. And there are those on the conservative side that do the same. As is true with every Presidential election season, I have several friends I need to stop following on Facebook until it is over - both conservative and liberal - as every post is telling me how stupid I am for not wanting to vote for their candidate. Ugh.

I know I am better than other people, other stupid stupid people! What's up with you? OCD can't dump a rant on here when somebody pees in my pudding? I've listened to you whine and had your back 100s of times. Now I know Hillary is your candidate and you didn't like me popping off about the southern black vote, but for as long as you've known me you know I say what's on my mind AND you also know I'm no racist. So yep, I'm better than all those STUPID PEOPLE OUT THERE! At least I feel better when venting on them...

I love OCD rants. Some of the best stuff. And I stay having your back all the time
But don't call people stupid bro, just because they aren't on the Bernie wagon. That's all I'm saying.
Let the trump supporters continue with the name calling. Don't stoop to that level.

as every post is telling me how stupid I am for not wanting to vote for their candidate. Ugh. I agree with this. Facebook has become so lazy. Nobody posting anything of interest nor sharing any real thought. Most people these days (certainly on my feed too columbus) seem to just share something they read. I really hate it. If they aren't sharing something they feel everybody else should read (or arrogantly think they are the only ones who read it) they are doing quizzes about what celebrity, cat breed, artist, classic rock record they would be or what accent they have or how many states/countries they have traveled. Everyone realizes these quizzes are just to find out more about you so the algorithms can be put into place to pinpoint specific advertising to target your way, right? I want to deactivate my account but, we have friends and family all over the globe and unfortunately FB is the best way to keep in touch (nobody emails anymore). But, nobody seems to be *really* saying anything...it's just drivel.

American's historically complain about how badly they want change.. then when faced with the opportunity to change, they retreat to the status quo.. I think a lot of people were just afraid of the kind of change he was talking about.

So you are saying you are not better than the Mass Murderer or the Abuser of Children? Your better choices have not lead to you being a better person?

@Swish - Dude, the world is full of stupid people, that is a life lesson learned better sooner rather than later. I used to take offense of generalizations like that too, but you will get so disappointed in the herd mentality at some point you will realize the world really is filled with STUPID SHEEP.
Now I can agree with you that just because somebody doesn't share my politics they are not necessarily stupid, but America as a whole is full of low brow, unintelligent, stupid people generally speaking. It's scary how stupid many are.
40 - Thanks for the 2 cents of cheer, and why would you bring up murderers and chomos? Sometimes you make me wonder 40...

AND NOW THIS! Bernie won almost all the counties in New York and still lost! The New York Dems purged (removed) 3 million voters from democratic registration without notice after it was too late to register as a democrat by their rules! 127K were in the Bronx, the largest hit area that just happened to be Bernie's birthplace and where he lived as a child! Clinton's Camp has not made one peep about this happening so we know it did not bother her... just saying. Look at his Map!

Don't be confused, Socialism doesn't fly in America. Capitalism does. That saying comes from the Great Depression era when a Politician would promise a chicken in every pot, meaning he would so improve the economy, the people would have the money to buy a chicken for their pots. Quite unlike today where we legalize Pot and let the people eat Chicken Wing Flavored Chips.

but America as a whole is full of low brow, unintelligent, stupid people generally speaking. It's scary how stupid many are. And the democrats want to make sure each and every one of them makes $15/hour and gets everything for free so there is no need for them to improve themselves. Good plan.

Socialism could be great ...... if everyone in the country were willing to work to support the programs. However, instead we have so many people who refuse to work. We have a horrible shortage in the trades, with open apprenticeships everywhere, and yet no one wants "those jobs", despite the fact that many are very, very well paying jobs.
Instead, people want "socialism", as long as other people pay for it. Notice that Sanders never says, to the working class, "I'm going to take half of your income to pay for these programs". Why not? Because he would still be looking for his 1st vote from anyone under the age of 25 if that were the case. Class warfare is alive and well in this country. Vote for me! We'll just take someone else's stuff to pay for your stuff.
*Sigh*
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

Quite unlike today where we legalize Pot and let the people eat Chicken Wing Flavored Chips. Oh, but there is more... The economy improved and the people bought a chicken from the farmer who quickly sold out. He rushed to the feed store to buy extra feed so he could raise more chickens for the people's pots. The feed store guy had to stock up on more feed for the farmers chickens and with his profits he was able to buy packing machines which greatly improved his efficiency. So many packing machines were sold the factory had to hire more workers just to keep up. Not to mention all the extra work at the Mill, grinding grain for the feed stores to sell to the farmers.

but bro, isn't conservative values based on giving individual rights to citizens to do whatever as long as it doesn't violate the rights of others?
isn't taking it off the schedule 1 list essentially making the federal government smaller?

isn't taking it off the schedule 1 list essentially making the federal government smaller? Pretty much, neither party wants a smaller or less intrusive government any more. They just want to fight over which aspects of your lives the government should control. And both sides only support states rights when they don't think they can get what they want out of the federal government..
