I am curious, because I have heard others say this ..... but what has Trump done, in this election, that would indicate that he has taken any advice from anyone?

He has "been Donald Trump". He said that he is his foreign policy consultant, because he is the smartest person he knows. He has been fully and completely unprepared to answer many questions, beyond basic sound bytes. I see nothing that indicates that he is willing to listen to anyone other than himself.

I find his speeches are much less flagrant than they used to be. So seems he is listening to someone.

The news used to be "OMG Trump said what?!?!"

These days not so much.

Crazy.

It's almost like Trump was just saying a bunch of stuff to get votes from a group of particular people. Who would have guessed?

Is it that he has stopped saying the things he used to ...... or that we have all become numb to his rantings, and shut parts of them out?

He just called those supposed plan to stop him "collusion", that "should put people in jail". crazy

Yeah, he's still insane, we're just getting used to hearing lunatic speak from him.

I'll vote for Clinton as I care about all Americans, and the SCOTUS.

None of the candidates will negatively impact me if they get elected. Why? I'm a white dude. Pretty much all minorities will get shafted in some shape or form if someone from the GOP takes office. I vote for others, and not for myself in this election.

I see I was mentioned in a couple of post for my Bernie support... lol you guys got jokes, problem is it's your candidates and political views.

Bernie is done, there no real path now. I've lost interest and become disenfranchised. I will NOT vote for Hillary, and might actually vote for Trump out of anger. I did like his speech last night, he almost seemed normal. And he is pouring the praise on Bernie now urging him to run as an independent. Better be careful of what he wishes for in my opinion.

I think a three way race might be a good idea for the Dems. Trump is now beating Hillary in polls and independents will be looking for a home. Hillary is not a progressive, is a proven liar and a cheat. So it will be tough for her to win in my opinion.

Trump is still a buffoon and I'm not quite ready for him either, but I would vote for him over Hillary i think. However unless a real candidate runs third party, I'll probably stay home in November.

I'd be comforted by the thought that Trump would have advisors if it weren't for the fact that he'll be appointing those advisors himself.

If there was anyone you could count on to surround himself with yes men, this would be the guy.

Ytown, you need to consider a write in candidate rather than a vote for Hillary.
If Cruz doesn't get the nod, I'll be writing his name in if the rules permit.

Trump the lunatic has just, before our very eyes, defeated 16 other Candidates in his own Party, all of which would have made a better opponent and President than Hillary.

This lunatic has built a multi Billion dollar empire and now, for some crazy reason, thinks he can dig America out of her economic, trade, and job loss hole. A hole the sane people you have supported dug in the first place.

Time for this blind squirrel of a Nation to finally find a Nut!

Trouble is 40, he can't do things the way he's saying he'll do them without ruining everything to begin with.
Tariffs? Whatever electronic device you're buying-sell a small child or do without. None of those things can be made here.
Is he going to reform corporate tax burdens or impose tariffs on Oreo cookies, Ford Motor Vehicles and Carrier Air Conditioners?
Do that wrong and we won't be able to afford any of those items either.
I've said it before, Donald Trump is the other side of the crony capitalism transaction.
Why then would we want to vote for him?

He has said he hasn't worked out all the details of what needs to be done but he sure as heck is not going to stand by as companies and jobs leave this Country, putting people out of work, and then turning around and selling us the stuff from another Country. He said there has to be a price to pay for doing that. He intends to do whatever is necessary to make those companies WANT to stay here and employ our people to make things.

But if you and others are happy with the Status Quo as our Nation declines, by all means vote for the establishment, you know, the ones who got us here in the first place.

The funny part about all of this is that Trump doesn't have a conservative bone in his body. What his supporters seem to obviously miss is that other than his extreme rhetoric, he's little more than Hillary 2.0. Much like Hillary only he sounds slightly more stupid. lol

You are correct. Trump is a Social Liberal and I hate that about him but if I don't have a viable Nation to live in because it has financially collapsed under the burden of debt, the loss of businesses and jobs, well who cares what the heck bathroom I gots to pee in!

I have to ask, other than saying, "I'm going to make great deals. We're going to win so much you'll get sick of winning", what has he outlined to you that shows how he'll accomplish any of that?

I don't hate the guy. I just think he's a marketer and a salesman. I believe he's selling voters a bill of goods without any substance.

And don't get me wrong, I think Hillary sucks too. At this point I'm trying to figure out which is the lesser of the two evils. But at this point, I don't see much difference.

So much like Trump's speeches have a lot of words but no substance, that website led to much of the same. Basically it's just his statements of "we're going to bring jobs back from China, and Mexico...blah blah blah..." but there is nothing of substance in regards to an actual plan to do it.
I'll say that he has said he thinks there shouldn't be a minimum wage. So maybe his plan is to drive our wages down so low we can compete with China's and Mexico's workers?

Cruz picks Fiorina as his running mate.

Honestly what is the point? He is mathematically eliminated. The chance of a contested convention picking him is not very good.

Desperation time. Trying to pickup more votes since his thrashing this week. Trying to pickup enough delegates in case the Republicans call for him at the Convention when they screw Trump.

Trump calls for US foreign policy shake-up, no more 'nation-building'

Donald Trump, in a highly anticipated speech on the heels of his primary-contest sweep across the Northeast, called Wednesday for a drastic shake-up in America’s foreign policy – including “getting out of the nation-building business” and demanding NATO allies pay their “fair share” or be left to “defend themselves.”

“It’s time to shake the rust off America’s foreign policy,” the Republican presidential front-runner said.

In what was billed as a major policy speech, Trump called for an “America first” approach. To that theme, Trump voiced skepticism toward international deals like NAFTA and said a Trump administration would not allow the U.S. to enter agreements that reduce America’s ability to control its own affairs. He panned what he described as the “false song of globalism.”

The speech was also heavy on campaign-season slams against President Obama and Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state. He called their policies “aimless” and destructive, and criticized them for not using the term “radical Islam.”

“We went from mistakes in Iraq to Egypt to Libya to President Obama’s line in the sand in Syria,” Trump said. He said this has allowed the Islamic State to thrive -- but said, going forward, the U.S. is out of “nation-building.”

Rather, he said the focus will be on restoring stability, and containing the spread of radical Islam. “ISIS will be gone if I’m elected president,” he claimed.

Meanwhile, he stood by his controversial stance on NATO allies, complaining only four other member countries besides the U.S. spend the minimum 2 percent of GDP on defense.

“The countries we are defending must pay for the cost of this defense … and if not, the U.S. must be prepared to let these countries defend themselves. We have no choice.”

Trump said, if elected president, he would call for a summit with NATO allies and a separate summit with Asian allies to discuss common challenges – including tackling migration and Islamic terrorism. He broadly called for the U.S. to project strength – and better understand who its friends and enemies are. Regarding Russia and China, he said “we are not bound to be adversaries.”

Well I have news for everybody here, as of today it's Trump vs. Hillary and he just tied her in the polls. If the trends that Bernie showed are anything to go by, closing 50+ points nationally on her, then we better get used to President Trump rolling off our tongues.

Dude...this seems to defeat the purpose and be contrary to what Sanders is running for. I get your anger but...even voting for some no name candidate seems more true to Sanders than going the Trump route.

This also raises the question of what 40 posted about FOX news polling "Bernie or Bust" folks. How can one run against/rail against the billionaire class and then turn around and vote for a billionaire? This is just one reason why I can't see Sanders supporters voting for Trump. Not to mention the xenophobia and bigotry he has shown throughout (including today when saying Clinton is playing the "woman card").

And I thought Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld were bad. Trump honestly comes across certifiably insane.

Boehner unleashed: Ex-speaker calls Cruz 'Lucifer,' 'miserable son of a b----'

John Boehner, the famously blunt ex-House speaker, left no doubt he's not a fan of fellow Republican Ted Cruz, leaping off the sidelines of the presidential race Wednesday night to unleash a stunning verbal lashing of the Texas senator, reportedly calling him “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “miserable son of a b.”

The longtime Ohio powerhouse had not been very outspoken on the race since retiring last year, but he held little back when asked about the Texas senator and underdog GOP presidential candidate during a forum at Stanford University.

“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a b in my life,” he said, according to The Stanford Daily.

If a really ineffective Speaker calls out a Senator, I think I like that Senator.

They say that a man's enemies say a lot about who the man really is at his core. Boehner and Romney both hate Cruz (along with many Senators, from what has been reported) ...... I think that makes me like him even more. (and I actually liked Boehner at one point) banghead

John Boehner represents "everything wrong and corrupt in Washington," Ted Cruz told reporters Thursday, striking back at the former House speaker, who said Cruz was "Lucifer in the flesh."

"I've never had any substantive conversation with Boehner in any respect," the GOP presidential hopeful said at a news conference in Indiana.

"So when he says I'm the worst guy he's ever worked with, he's never worked with me. John Boehner's remarks reveal everything that's wrong and corrupt about Washington, everything you're angry with. When John Boehner calls me Lucifer, he's not directing that at me. He's directing it at you."
