This is my sons favorite youtube clip. If he's crying or acting up (he's 16mos) and I put this on, he immediately quits his yapping and listens intently:
I like that song and will not apologize for it. I like all kinds of stuff across about 6 genres and 7 decades... and like you, I usually have that on when my daughter is in the car.
I like that song too, and most will never admit it, because they dont like him but Beiber is actually a pretty talented little dude . He sings, he dances, and he actually plays multiple instruments .

I don't "like" any of his music. I hum along with about anything really. But it's weird - when I used to drive, my daughter that she was in control of the radio. Now that she's driving, she still thinks she's in control of the radio.
Nah, my biggest problem with the beeb is the stoner look he gives all the time.
Is he talented, musically? I guess. Hey, it's a generational thing with me and my daughter - I don't like most of what she listens to. My parents didn't like most of what I listened to. When my wife and I met, I didn't like her country music.
(I do like One Direction's "That's what makes you beautiful", though.)
I like stuff from Johnny Cash, to "today's country", to Twisted Sister (memories from high school), well, White Snake, AC/DC, Black Crows, ......all the way to Gospel Quartet music (the Kingsmen, circa 1985 - spent about an hour listening to them just last night)

I wouldnt call myself a fan of his music either, but a couple of his songs are catchy.

I agree, I listen to a lot of Top 40 stuff with my daughter and to be honest, most of it sounds the same (not really bad, just the same).... but some of it is kind of catchy.
Keep that relationship special. My daughter is 15 1/2. She's always had a good sense of humor, and her "dad" is coming out in her more and more. And I love it, obviously. Quick with a comeback, sassy when it fits, sensitive (no one on here would believe I'm sensitive, I know), but also sensitive to peer pressure - how to look, dress, act.
But get this: Yesterday, she was getting ready to go meet some friends, got pre occupied, and only painted the nails on one hand. Her reaction? Oops. I'll finish tonight when I get home.
On the way to school today I heard "Oh, crap, I forgot to do my other hand. Oh well, I'll do it tonight."

Apparently you havent went though the " I effing hate you" stage

Nope, and we won't. Sure, she gets upset when I tell her to shut the phone off and go to SLEEP. (not bed - sleep) "you're tired every morning, but you have to get up at a certain time. There's only 1 way to correct that, you know that, right?"
I guess I'm lucky. Neither of my kids hated or hate me.

let me make this perfectly clear, since we seem to have a bunch of whiners on the board. it's funny too since yall are old and always cry about younger people, you sound just like the people you complain about.
if the shoe fits, wear it. that goes for you directly as well, DC.
if you don't wanna be compared to a right wing radical, then don't sound like a right wing radical.
so you can cry and make every other post complaining like a teenage girl being compared to those religious nut cases in the middle east.
but guess what? i'm going to keep making that comparison over and over.....and over and over again every single time you or anybody else sounds like it.
so don't get mad at me. you're the one who sounds like it. i didn't make you post it. i don't control your opinions or statements.
i simply call it how i see it.
so you and everybody else might wanna look and the mirror and do some soul searching.
because the reality is that you didn't exactly deny what i said. you're just crying about it.
yes, the intolerance level is off the charts, especially on this board. i'm dead ass when i say you guys sound like the the hardcore righties in the middle east.
if you think that means terrorist? then sure, thats what i mean.
thats not me calling anybody a terrorist on the board, thats me saying theres a lot of eerily similarities that can NOT be ignored.
and i'm not just talking about this issue with trans. i'm talking throughout all the topics we discuss around here.
so i really could care less if anybody on here gets their panties all in a wad.
if i see the similarities, i'm gonna let yall know about it.
whine all yall want about my stance, at the end of the day, it's pointless and won't change my position.
this country is divided to the point that we have a lot of similarities with hardcore right wing radicals in the middle east.
they don't wanna change either, they don't wanna adapt, either. they don't like progress or equality either.
but carry on.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
i was suspended for saying the invisible fake lords name in vein.
guess i gotta say gosh darn now.

It seems to me that guys like you and Rocket are the ones set in your ways. You both, along w/a few others, constantly assign blame which further divides us, and never offer any solutions.
I was not surprised that neither of you responded to the Raising Men thread. Why work to find solutions and bring people together when you can sit back and whine about how bad things are..........
I was suspended. Kinda hard to respond to your thread suspended.
I'm making rounds. And we offer plenty of solutions over and over again.
The thing is that you and others just don't like the solutions we offer, so instead you claim that we didn't offer anything.

I'll listen to solutions, Swish. I think you know me well enough by now that I am open-minded on social issues. I think recognizing and pointing out what is wrong is needed, but once that is done, I feel it is more important to work to solve problems rather than to continue to throw stones.
Sometimes people need a rock to hit their head before they finally get it.
That's just a metaphor refs. Don't suspended me again

Yeah we're Middle East terrorists because we want to keep perverts like the one in the 23 minute video I posted (that no one but swish) took the time to watch and comment on from having a legal excuse to get that much closer to their victims.
brilliant...
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...
take it however you want. once again, if you think im calling you a terrorist, then thats exactly what im doing.
i'm tired of dancing around issues hoping you guys understand. i'm just gonna fire armor piercing rounds from here on out. you guys don't respond to nice.
you guys on this board only pay attention to rudeness and bluntness.

This is proof that those of you on the left have gone off the deep end...
Like I said, I post a documentary proving that these deviants use these laws to commit ACTUAL RAPE AND MURDER and swish calls us middle eastern extremists and rocket posts pictures of colored only water fountains.
It was nice knowing you America...
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...
wrong. those rapes and murders, which are ALREADY ILLEGAL, happened before these pro and anti trans laws happened.
stop misinforming the board. i actually watched your link, so stop lying. those crimes were committed before this trans-bathroom issue was a twinkle in anybody's eyes.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
there were not even a handful, compared to the ones with far back dates.
i watched, i paid attention. it was an informative video. but once again, the crimes they committed is already illegal, and STILL is illegal.

I know those crimes are already illegal, what I've said and have been saying since I posted is that giving these people the right to just walk into the ladies room like this just makes it that much easier to get near their targets.
And that's what we're trying to stop.
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...
except your good intention is taking this country on the road to hell.
thats the entire point, you're disguising these things as a "protect our kids" when in reality it's gonna do more harm then good.
you already got overzealous people following others to the bathroom. i'm sure yall all caught that news story already.
whats the # of incidents compared to the number of cases where nothing wrong happened?
whats the # of criminals doing this stuff compared to all the gay and trans people using the bathrooms they identify with on a daily basis.
which, i might add, once again shows that every last one of us on this board has used the bathroom with a trans person without even knowing it, because guess what?
it's not a big deal.
and i'm going to point it out again, Ted. on your own link, a ton of those criminals got busted cross dressing AFTER they were already imprisoned for doing the same creepy things dressed normally.
you have got to take that into consideration. these guys went above and beyond to dress like chicks AFTER they had already got busted for being in the bathrooms as normal male creeps.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
but i'm waiting on somebody to answer my earlier question:
should we have bathroom police at all times now? because thats what this is coming down to.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
No, really what we should do is look at the entire bill when speaking about hb2. If it were about bathrooms alone this little excursion we've been taking here would have some merit as a worthy discussion. But the fact is, this bill includes so much more that is an attack on the rights of the LGBT community, that the issue we are discussing pales in comparison to the actual bill.
You see, we may disagree in creating a law that allows ANYONE who claims to identify as a female to use the women's restroom. You see, I think that law is too open ended.
But the far bigger picture are a lot of other things that this law does. And that's what we're being distracted from here.
Which is why, in the end, we agree that we oppose this bill. Because as of now, people can't see the forest for the trees. If you have any doubt Swish, take a look at what all is actually in this bill. If you don't already know, you'll be shocked.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
yea i seen whats in the bill. its stupid to be polite.
which i why i feel that none of this, from both sides, should be happening. this is a train wreck.
